Easel sympathy card

I have been wanting to make an easel card and this week at Whimsical Wednesday - Fun with Folds, they asked for a card with a fold of some kind, so I thought here's my chance!  Unfortunately, I need a sympathy card.  Not my first choice in kinds of cards to make, but knowing how nice easel cards look, I'm hoping this will be a blessing and encouragement.

I'll post this in the Doodle Pantry's 'Stock the Pantry' challenge #4, too, because I used a digi stamp of the verse from there.

~Ivory textured cardstock from J's for the card base
~Paper Studio Mirabelle dsp
~digi stamp verse from Doodle Pantry
~Inside sentiment rubber stamp from J's
~Bazzill olive cardstock
~Paper Studio border punch
~Paper Studio ribbon

Thanks for stopping!

Debbie it is always sad when we have to make sympathy cards:( But oh my is this gorgeous. I love the soft colors you used. You never want anything too bold for these types of cards..you did fabulous picking out just the right papers/colors. Beautiful edge punch too. I really enjoy the easel cards because you can see the entire card without having to go over and open it up. Your sentiment is so perfect, so this style card is perfect to keep that displayed. Great job with the challenge. Thank you for joining us at Whimsical Wednesdays. I am your newest follower:)

I love your card. How creative! I've never made an easel card before. It looks so complicated for a dyslexic mind like mine! You really did a great job!
