My card tonight is a simple and fun "hello."  A simple and fun piggy "hello"! :)  I love having simple note cards in my stash!

My image is "Hamlet Pigwit in the Planter" from From the Heart Stamps colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  The DP is American Crafts Basics.  The edges are inked with TH walnut stain.  The image and polka dot panel are cut with CottageCutz Stitched Rectangles.  The banner die is Sweet 'n Sassy.

Handy father's day -- TMS #352

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  

It's not a "requirement" for fatherhood that a man be handy with tools, but both my father and my husband are very handy with tools, so this "little handyman" is a great image for me to use on a Father's Day card...

My DP is all scraps.  The banner is DCWV corrugated DP.  My image is Handy Harry from Digital Delights and is colored with Spectrum Noir markers then fussy cut.  (He's a little dark... I printed the color image in black and white by mistake and just colored him rather than printing again.)  The square behind him is cut out with Spellbinders Celebra'tions Squares.  My sentiment is a Recollections rubber stamp.

Merry Christmas - TMS #351

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  I've got a Christmas card for you today.   I tried a new (to me) technique for this... on the edge die cutting.  

To do this, when you place your die on the paper, part of the die is off the cutting plate so that it doesn't cut through.  Not sure if that makes sense, but you can find tutorials on YouTube.  
My die is CC Designs Winter Wonderland.  **See? I'm already wishing for next winter's snow!! LOL**  I used CB Swiss Dots to emboss.  The DP is Recollections "Winter Frost," and my sentiment is from My Craft Spot "Joy To the World" stamped with Versafine.

Wedding season is upon us!  This card was made for a very special couple who just "tied the knot" today!  ♥

I made it an easel card...

Here's the front when closed...

My image is True Love from From the Heart Stamps.  It is colored with Spectrum Noir markers and cut out using Spellbinders Standard Circles.  The DP is Prima Something Blue.  It is embossed with CB Love Language and Darice Lace border.   The sentiments are clear sentiments from Stampendous.  "to have and to hold..." was cut using Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A.  A scrap of ribbon and some adhesive pearls finished it off.

Happy Father's Day

Before you think I'm crazy, let me assure you that I realize that tomorrow is Mother's Day, and that Father's Day isn't until next month! I'm just starting early for a change! :)

My image is Doodle Pantry's Carousel Horse 6 that is cut out with Spellbinders Celebrations Squares and framed with Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Squares.  I tied a piece of Offray ribbon and the white circles are Doodlebug Designs white Sprinkles.

Feel better - AIMPDC 17

Can it really already be the 1st of May???  Wow!  I must be getting old because time seems to be flying by!

Isn't this birdie cute??!?  I hope time flies for the recipient of this card and that this birdie cheers him up as he heals!  This is for a young boy in our church who broke his leg.  Poor little guy!  His break required surgery and a pin.  :(  

I used the color image from Boo-boo Birdie & Ants.  He was cut out with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics B then I ran my Cutter Bee Bug around the edges to make a pierced border.  The sentiment is cut out using Spellbinders Ribbon Banners.  My ribbon is AC.  The chipboard button is DCWV.  The plaid paper is a scrap that I distressed on my Distrezz It All.  [I love that little machine!!!]

Christmas in the heart - TMS #349

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  I've got a Christmas card this week...

My card is actually the second one I created for this week's challenge.  The first one was great in my mind, but in reality... it FAILED!  So it got torn apart.  Maybe it didn't work because all I could think about was the fact that I had just finished off my bag of Chicken Bone Bites. :(  My parents brought them to me and I tried to make them last as long as possible, but now they are all gone.  If you haven't been to the Maritimes, you may not even know what I'm talking about.  They are a cinnamon candy filled with chocolate!!!!!  Sooooooo good!!  Ganong is the original and the best!  See?

That had nothing to do with my card, but I really am sad they're gone and just wanted to whine a little.  Now back to reality...

The DP all had silver through it... it's very pretty IRL!!

Cherishing the memories

My second post of the day is a sympathy card.  Sadly, I've needed several of these recently.  

This showcases one of my favorite Doodle Pantry images... Calla Lilies from Lily Collection.  I absolutely LOVE calla lilies!!!  The sentiment is from Sweet Sympathy Sentiments.   My DP is Prima Epiphany.  I used Spellbinders Petite Ovals and Ribbon Banners.  Both cuts are inked with TH tea dye.  A bit of ribbon from my scrap box and brown adhesive pearls finished it off.

Chicken soup - TMS #348

Seek the Lord...

It's April, right?  Yep, that's what the calendar says.  If you visit my blog much at all, you know that I LOVE snow and that I was not happy this winter because we got almost none! :'( 
Now that it's April, we finally got some snow!  I think we got more this weekend than we had all winter long!  Half of it is melted already, but it sure was nice while it lasted!  See?

But since it's spring, I'll move on...


I love to make note cards with a Scripture sentiment.  They are so versatile and can be used as a simple note card, an an "I'm praying for you" card, or maybe a sympathy card.   Here is one I just made...

My DP is MME Indie Chic, and the back piece is embossed with Darice Cherry Blossom EF.  My sentiment is free word art from Word Art Wednesday a couple of weeks ago.   The pink frame is cut with Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Rectangles.  My sparkly, swirly brads are Recollections.
