Merry Christmas x 4 - TMS #577

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I've got some more Christmas cards for you.  I've actually have 4!  This sketch is so fun that I kept creating with it. :)

I was shopping on Saturday and went into Tuesday Morning.   I love to check out their craft aisle!!  That's where I found this paper.  I really didn't NEED anymore Christmas paper, but my pads are getting low, so this wasn't a total impulse buy. ;)  It is Echo Park Christmas.   This is a beautiful double sided pad!  I used Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics for all my panels.  The strips were cut with my trimmer. A little twine bow finished them off.

The reason I made 4 cards was that these sentiment blocks were all on a page, so it was easy, peasy.  :)

Which do you like best? :)

Silver snowflake Christmas - TMS #576

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Time is flying, so I'm working on Christmas cards whenever I have a chance.  Here's one with this week's sketch...

I was searching for some red paper in my scrap box and came across this card with the front already embossed.  (I think it's Sizzix Snowflakes.)  My sentiment is Pink & Main Merry Christmas die.  My snowflakes are Sweet N Sassy Stamps Small Snowflakes.  The sentiment and snowflakes are cut from a silver paper.  Very pretty IRL!!  Here's a closeup so you see the shine a bit better...

Here's our fun sketch... can't wait to see what you do for the side element! :)

Challenges

Crafty Friends #146 - use more than one die (snowflakes and sentiment)
Sweet Stampin' - use your old stash (my card and paper are well over 5 yrs old!)

Slimline birthday - TMS #575

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!

I'm joining the slimline trend today...

I don't have any slimline dies yet, but I have a trimmer, so I made a "tall" card.

All of my paper was from my scrap box.  My flower is Hero Arts Mum Stem stamp and die.  My sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy Stamps Birthday Greetings.  I always have trouble getting sequins to stay on a card, so I just punched some tiny circles for the dot element at the bottom of our sketch...

A Christmas Hello - SCC #117

Happy October 1st!   It's time for Sparkles Christmas Challenge #117!  Our theme this month is "Vintage Christmas."

My card is vintage in the paper and sentiment though the card itself isn't exactly vintage.

My paper is the Paper Studio "Old World Winter."  My sentiment is Flonz Christmas Poems.  I love the vintage look to this!  I cut it and framed it using Spellbinders Petite Ovals.  I had some crinkly ribbon I had made a few years ago and made my double bow with it.  Though it doesn't look like it in the picture, it actually matches really well.

Time is flying toward Dec 25... got all your cards made?  If not, let us help inspire you and please play along with us at Sparkles Christmas Challenge!

Have a blessed day!!

Masculine birthday - TMS #574

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This week, I've got a masculine birthday card.  I tend to struggle with masculine cards, but this one came together fairly easily.  Check it out...

My paper is MME My Heritage.  My Kraft panel is dry embossed with Darice Wood Grain EF.  My sentiment is from The Project Bin Classic Man.  It is heat embossed and cut out with Spellbinders Standard Circles.  I used my trimmer to cut the other pieces.

Here's the sketch...  You can see I didn't follow the "instructions" exactly! :O

Sometimes God calms the storm...

I'm not working today, so I've got some extra time to clean my house and craft! Probably will do more of the latter. :D

Last week, I found a Visa gift card in my wallet with some $ still on it. Yay!  I had a realization that a couple of stamps on my Sweet n Sassy Stamps wish list that had been out of stock were now back in stock, and my gift card had enough to get them.  :)   (I'm going to need to find a few hundred dollars worth of gift cards to get all my wish list items! LOL)

Here's a card I made with one of them.  (I'll use the other soon and share it, too.)

Maybe you need this reminder right now, so I pray this card a blessing to you. It's going in the mail today to some friends going through a rough time, and I want it to encourage them.

My sentiment is "Calms His Child" from sweet n Sassy Stamps.  My paper was from my scrap box.  It is one piece that changes color.  I embossed the top with Sizzix Cloudy Day and the bottom with CB Distressed Stripes.  My border is MFT Die-namics Stitched Ric Rac.  I used Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics, Spellbinders Classic Squares, and Spellbinders Pierced Squares.  I can't remember which one it is, but one of the squares was just slightly smaller giving the this black border on the sentiment which I think really sets it off. This was all adhered to a black card.  (I almost always use black for my foundational layer on a white card, but I'm really loving the look of the black card base.

I am entering this into a few challenges...

Cuttlebug Mania 9/15 - anything goes

Aud Sentiments #260 - anything goes + sentiment

Word Art Wednesday #458-459 - anything goes family friendly w/ uplifting sentiment

Crafty Sentiments Designs 9/22 - anything goes

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

thanks so much - TMS #573

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Lately, I've needed a lot of sympathy and thank you, so I'm trying to add those to my stash.  Today is a thank you card...

I started with a black A2 card, cut my panel with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics, rounded the corners with my CM corner rounder, and heat embossed my Papertrey Ink sentiment.  That panel and my squares are all Pebbles Family Ties DP.  Simple and easy, but still cute, IMHO. ;)

Girly girl birthday - TMS #572

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!

This week's card will be in my stash and saved for a girly girl's birthday...  probably my oldest.  :-)  It's very her!

My paper is Carta Bella Metropolitan Girl.  Great 6x6 pad!!  (A couple of weeks ago, I commented on a card that had the NYC skyline paper.  I told them I loved it while thinking I wish I had it!  Then I start working on this card and realize I do have it! It's in this pad, as well. LOL) My sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy Pennant Party and cut with Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banners. The "flower" is Spellbinders Mini Medallions One.  I dry embossed it with Darice Cherry Blossom but didn't like it, so ran it through again with CB Swiss Dots. :D

Here's our sketch...

Thanks - TMS #571

Happy Tuesday to you!  Another week has flown by, and it's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I hope you enjoyed your Labor Day off.  We had lots of stuff that we could have (maybe should have) done, but we just chilled and enjoyed family time.

Anyway, here's my card...

Sorry that the card is at an odd angle, but this was the only way the embossed circles would show clearly.  I tried to cut circles of varying sizes and widths, but it ended up looking like a very odd bull's eye! LOL   So I tried the embossing, and I really like how it turned out.
I used Spellbinders Standard Circles LG and SM.  My paper was from my scrap box.  The stars are cut with Sweet n Sassy Stamps Star Dies.  My sentiment is Raisin Boat "You Said It!"

Here's our sketch...

Cardinal Christmas - SCC #116

Happy September to you!  It's the first of the month, so it's time for Sparkles Christmas Challenge #116.  And can you believe that it is only 115 days until Christmas!  :)

Out theme is "Festive Things with Wings," and here's my card... :)

My cardinal is Sweet n Sassy Stamps Christmas Joy stamp and die. (I love this set!!)  It's colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  The sentiment is from that set, too.  My paper is Old World Winter.  I cut the panel with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics and cut the circle out with Spellbinders Standard Circles.  The sentiment is cut with Simon Says Stamp Tiny Tags.  And the twine is from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a blessed day and come over and play along at Sparkles Christmas Challenge!!

You're fabulous - TMS #570

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  And since I know all who read my blog are fabulous, this card's for you!  :)

My paper is from my scrap box.  My image and sentiment are Hero Arts Mum Stem.  I colored the flowers with my Spectrum nor markers and fussy cut them.  (The matching die is on my wish list, but I think it's retiring/retired, so that may be a challenge to find.)  I didn't have a fishtail banner the perfect size, so I cut the strip and then cut the end from a Kaisercraft banner die.  I often partially cut an image and move the die to make it the size I need. :)

Here's our sketch... [are you surprised I didn't use my hibiscus? :) ]

Hello friend - TMS #569

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Here is this week's card...

My paper is Simple Stories Simple Vintagle Botanicals.  It's a 2 sided pack, so I cut my panel and just turned the top around.  The ribbon and enamel dots are from my stash.  The sentiment was also in my stash of images and sentiments.  Patti, our teamie, sponsored a few TMS challenges before she was a part of our DT.   One of those times (see it here... it was over 5 yrs ago!!!), she sent us some images/sentiments that she'd stamped.  This is one of those!  Yeah, I need to use up my stash!!!

Here's the sketch...

You're a blessing - TMS #568

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  My note today could be a thank you card or just a quick note of appreciation and encouragement.  I think we all can use some of that during these times!

My DP is Colorbok Light Brights.  My secret pal gave this paper to me.  She is certainly a blessing!  My sentiment is Memory Box "Each Day is a Blessing" clear stamp.  The circles are cut with Spellbinders Standard Circles, and the sentiment is cut with CottageCutz Stitched Rectangles.

Here is our sketch for the week...

Celebrating 50 yrs x2 - TMS #566

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This summer, 2 special couples celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary!  That's so wonderful!
I made 2 similar cards for them and want to show you...

The gold paper is Canson Effects. The dotted paper came from my scrap box.  I stamped the sentiment from Raisin Boat All the Write Words in StazOn ink. The hearts are Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Hearts, and the numbers are Thickers.  The twine and flowers are from my stash.

I made this one an easel card...

The inside sentiment was in my printed-and-waiting box.  (I think it's Doodle Pantry... a.k.a. OLD!) The bottom panel is dry embossed with Darice Swirl.

The second one is very similar...

I used the same gold paper and sentiment.  The floral paper was from my scrap box, too.  It is embossed with Lifestyle Whimsy. The Thickers came out again.  The ribbon and flower are from my stash.  The leaves are Spellbinders Foliage. I put a floral brad in the middle of the flower. Here's a closeup...

From our house to yours - SCC #115

It's August and time for Sparkles Christmas Challenge #115, and I've got a super fun card to share! At least, I think it's super fun! :D   Our theme is "from our house to yours" and here is my interpretation...

Isn't this cute??!?  I love the little puff of exhaust!!  My car full of snowmen is MFT Cool Christmas stamp and die.  It's colored with my Spectrum Noir markers.  My DP is MME Vintage Christmas.  I'm sad because I've had this 6x6 pad awhile and am down to the last 2 or 3 sheets. :(  The hills and road are made with Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes.  The Merry Christmas is from Sweet n Sassy Christmas Joy, stamped with VersaFine, and heat embossed.  The trees and tiny snowflakes (see pic below) are from Raisin Boat Merry Nature.  "from our house to yours" is computer generated and cut out with Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banners.

Here's a closeup of the heat embossed sentiment...

And in this pic, you can see the tiny snowflakes that I added in the "sky"...

Challenges I'm entering...
Fab 'n' Funky #492 - Christmas
Creative Knockouts #361 - tic tac toe (I did down the middle... embossing (sentiment is heat embossed), image, sentiment
Colour Crazy Craft Challenge week 30 - anything goes w/ coloring

We'd love to have you come play along at Sparkles Christmas Challenge!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

Aged to perfection - TMS #565

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!

Today I've got 2 cards to show you.  I made the first one, wasn't really happy with it, made the second one, and then decided I liked the first one better.  LOL

My DP is MME Portobello Road.  My image and sentiment are The Project Bin Classic Man.  I stamped them with VersaFine Onyx Black and heat embossed them.  ((I know it looks like I didn't stamp the car very well, but that's the refection on the heat embossing.))  The image is cut with Spellbinders Labels One.  I partially cut a circle then finished with Spellbinders Labels One for my frame.  The back panel is embossed with Spelbinders Maze EF.  I inked the edges to give a bit more dimension, and the ribbon is from my stash.

Here's the second card....

My DP is Pebbles Birthday Wishes.  My image and sentiment are LOTV Far Away Friends.  I colored this cutie with Spectrum Noir markers.  It's cut with Spellbinders Classic Squares and the frame is a Recollections tag trimmed to size.  The ribbon and crinkly ribbon are from my stash.

Here's our fun sketch...

Snowflake Christmas - TMS #564

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This week's sketch is awesome and one of those that can be 1 layer, CAS, or layered and embellished to your heart's content!  We hope you have fun with it!

I went for the simple look...

I dry embossed a scrap of red cardstock with CB Swiss Dots.  My snowflakes are all punched.  The large is an EKSuccess punch, and the small is a MS punch.  The paper is from my scrap box and has swirly glittery flourishes on it as you can see below.   My sentiment is from Raisin Boat Formal Phrases and is cut out with Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banners.

I love this paper!  It's Making Memories Slice specialty paper (so that tells you how old it is!) and cuts like a dream on my Cricut.  I got a pack of it a few yrs ago and only have one full sheet and a few scraps left.  So sad!

Here's the sketch...

Hibiscus thank you - TMS #563

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!

My card this week features the hibiscus stamp and die set that I used a couple of times in May.  I love it!!!  And today, I've got pics of my own hibiscus to show you!

Here's my card...

My DP is Simple Stories Simple Vintage Botanicals.  My image is Sunny Studios Hawaiian Hibiscus stamp and die set.  It's framed with a Kraft circle cut with Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Circles and embossed with Die-versions Stitched Circles.  My image is stamped with Catherine Pooler ink that I just bought myself using a gift card in my purse that I had forgotten about!  :)  And I love It!  The leaves are stamped with Hampton Arts inks.  The "thank you" sentiment is from Raisin Boat Marvelous Mom and cut out with Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banners.

Here's our sketch...

Now here's my real flower... it just makes me smile!!
