Sweet thoughts - TMS #317

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  Here's my card for this week's challenge...

I will probably send this to my oldest daughter.  We just left her at college in Pensacola yesterday.  (Give me a moment while I go find a Kleenex! Actually, she was so excited and we are so excited for her that there were not a lot of tears that we had expected.)  We will definitely miss her, but we are excited to see what the Lord has for her!!  Even in this age of texting and FaceTime, it is still special to receive a real card, so I think she'll like this one.

My DP is all scraps.  I used my Distrezz-It-All on the edges.  My sentiment is My Pink Stamper and cut out using Spellbinders Circles.  The image is cut using Spellbinders Matting Basics A.  The edges are inked with Tim Holtz "walnut stain."

This week our sponsor is Sherri Baldy Designs.  Sherri's "My Besties" images are soooo adorable!!!  I used Big Eye Big Head Dolls Messy Bessy image 801

Here's our sketch for the week...  hope you like it! :)

Back in the olden days we tied a kerchief/scarf in our hair before we dusted and beat the rugs. The big knot took me down memory lane. I hope to see you at our 200th challenge. Thank you so much for taking time to post your very creative art with us this week at Word Art Wednesday, in our 199th challenge.
Blessings and Hugs, Carole

Oh how cute! I love the little image..she's precious! And, that twine tied in that cute bow. This is so cute and your daughter is going to love getting this in the mail. My sweet daughter has gone away to college, came home, and now works 2 1/2 hours away. I know how much you will miss yours. It makes it even sweeter when they come home, though, and don't think she won't miss you, either, cause she will. Hugs, Gail Oh darn. Forgot to say the magic words: Thanks for joining us at Craft-Dee BowZ for our September challenge. :)

This turned out so cute. You did a wonderful job of coloring the image, and the papers are a perfect compliment.

The card is so sweet! She will love it! And I know you'll miss her and she will miss you, but it's good to let them spread their wings. Remind me that I said that when I send Hollyanne off to college next year.
