Have a fabulous birthday - C4G #259

Hi!  It is time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Our theme is dies or punches.  That's very easy for me... I make very few cards that don't have a die cut on them! :). 

Here is my card...

I created my background by cutting Poppystamps Circling Frame in vellum and using it as a stencil.  I ink blended TH Oxide speckled egg, tumbled glass, and stormy sky.  I then stamped the tree from Fiskars Build a Tree.  (I have had this set for over 10 years, and this is only the 2nd time I've used it!)  I added some leaves with Poppystamps Orchard Leaves.  My van is Honey Bee Stamps Beach Bound.  The sentiment is Poppystamps Art Deco birthday Greetings.  It's such a fun card!

Sleigh Ride

Hi!  I've got a fun Christmas card to share today.  Usually, I would have most of my Christmas cards made by now, but not this year, so I'm checking out challenges for inspiration and creating.

This was fun to make!  I stamped the plaid BG using DRS Designs Woven Plaid in my MISTI with Memento Rhubarb Stalk.  My image and sentiment are from Sweet n Sassy Stamps Old-Fashioned Christmas.  I used VersaFine Onyx Black and clear embossing powder.  A bit of ribbon added the finishing touch.

My image is From the Heart Stamps.and cut out with CottageCutz Stitched Circles.  My DP is Crate Paper DIY Shop.  I also used Spellbinders Doodle Parts, A2 Matting Basics, and Standard Circles.  A bit of AC ribbon from my stash and a FloraDoodle flower finish it off.

We've enjoyed revisiting sketches from last year, but we're back with a fresh one today...

My image is Watermill from Doodle Pantry.  The sentiment is from School Bus.  Our new printer will not take cardstock, [[what kind of printer won't take cardstock??!!??]] so I'm using up what I have already printed.

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!! Today I've got a pretty simple card for you, but the paper and ribbon make it still very pretty...

{Sorry! I realized after taking the pic, editing, and posting that I needed to adjust the bow tail. :/  }

Few supplies... First Edition Christmas Story DP, Kraft mat, Ribbon Trends ribbon, and Sweet n Sassy Small Snowflakes die.  The snowflake DP is a scrap.  Both papers have glitter and shine... it's just hard to get a good pic of it...

 {And don't you love it when the paper does most of the work? :)  }

Handy father's day -- TMS #352

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  

It's not a "requirement" for fatherhood that a man be handy with tools, but both my father and my husband are very handy with tools, so this "little handyman" is a great image for me to use on a Father's Day card...

My DP is all scraps.  The banner is DCWV corrugated DP.  My image is Handy Harry from Digital Delights and is colored with Spectrum Noir markers then fussy cut.  (He's a little dark... I printed the color image in black and white by mistake and just colored him rather than printing again.)  The square behind him is cut out with Spellbinders Celebra'tions Squares.  My sentiment is a Recollections rubber stamp.

Here's my card for this week...   (This tealish blue is so hard to photograph accurately!)   This is for a very special person, but I can't tell you who because I'm not sure if she visits my blog or not. 

My sentiment is a freebie from 613 Avenue Create.  It's cut with Spellbinders Circles and Scalloped Circles.  My paper is MME All Dolled Up.  It was distressed with my Distrezz-It-All and inked with TH walnut stain.  The flower is Prima and I inked it slightly, too.

B'day easel card - TMS #340

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  Last year, I kind of challenged myself to do something other than a basic card for at least one challenge a month.  I've missed a couple of months, but sort of did it this time.  I made an easel card.  (They are really easy and fun, so I don't know why I don't make them more often!)

 (I'm thinking I should have folded the front more toward the middle so it would stand up straighter.)

I guess that this doesn't technically have to be a birthday card, but that's what I had in mind while making it.  My DP is Studio Calico Story Time.  The image is Digital Delights Flower Power Basket of Daisies. (I made mine into Black-eyed Susans!) It's colored with my Spectrum Noir markers, and cut out with Spellbinders Labels One and Scalloped Labels One.  The sentiments are Inkadinkado and My Pink Stamper.

 My colored image, sentiment, and digi paper all came from Flame Lily.  I love the rich colors in this beautiful set!  (Outlines are included, too)  My image was cut with Spellbinders Tile Works and the sentiment was cut with A2 Matting Basics A.  They were both inked with TH peeled paint distress ink.  The green paper was cut with a MS border punch.  A bit of ribbon and a few adhesive pearls finished it off.

Snow much fun!

I've got a thank you card to show you today.  I'm so excited that ALL of my Christmas cards are mailed!   (That does not usually happen until the week before Christmas, so I'm happy this year!)   So now I need to get going on thank you cards.

I used Doodle Pantry's Snow Birdie.  It's printed on Kraft (not sure why it has a pink tint!), cut with Spellbinders Labels 8, and inked with TH faded jeans.  My DP is Recollections Winter Frost, and the snowflake brad and twine are both Recollections.

I've got a red Mustang!! - AIMPDC 12

A second post for the day and a second birthday card.   I made this card for a guy, but once it was together, I realized the paper seemed too girly for him, so had to make another one.  I do like this card... it's just not right for the guys in my life!

My dad is a car guy, and when I was little, he had a red Mustang.  About all I remember was being scrunched in it!!  There were 4 kids in my family, and 6 people don't fit very well in a Mustang!  I remember one trip that we had 7 people in it... Dad was driving, I was sharing the front seat with my dad's very tall cousin while my mother and 3 siblings took the back seat.  Not fun! 

My image is from Doodle Pantry's Classic Cars 2.   My sentiment is from Celebrations.  The "too girly" paper is Prima "Something Blue."  The image is cut with Spellbinders Labels Small and Large.


Since today is December 1, Doodle Pantry's Ants in My Pantry Digital Challenge 12 starts at noon!  The theme is always "anything digital goes" so print your digis and come over and play along!  Every entry is eligible to win a coupon to Doodle Pantry. Mooo-ey Christmas

Happy Sunday to you!  I pray you will be in the Lord's house today and blessed by His Word!

It's November!  Can you believe that next month is Christmas??!!??  :)   I've got a fun Christmas card for you today...

Isn't this fun??  I used Doodle Pantry's Milk & Cookies colored image and sentiment.  They are cut out with Spellbinders Petite Ovals.  My DP is AC Let It Snow.  The main panel is embossed with CB Swiss Cots.  {I love all embossing, but I have to say that I really love the effect of embossing on patterned paper!!} The snowflake is Sweet 'n Sassy Small Snowflakes Dies.  I "colored" them with a Sakura gel pen so they sparkle.
