Sending a hello - TMS #344

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!   Today, I've got a cute (IMHO) card for you...

My image is First Class Post from Di's Digis, colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  It is cut out using Spellbinders Labels Small.  The edges are inked with TH walnut stain.  The DP is Prima Epiphany, and the clear sentiment is TPC Studio.  It's hard to see in the pic, but it's stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and heat embossed with Stampabilities Iridescent embossing powder.  It's cut out with Spellbinders Petite Ovals and Petite Scalloped Ovals.

Our sponsor this week is Di's Digi Stamps!  Such cute digis!!!  The prize is a $12 voucher to the store.

Here's our sketch for the week...  I printed my image a bit larger than I had intended so it kind of takes over the card front compared to that element on the sketch, but this has potential for CAS, fancy, or fun, so show us your style!

Here's the card...

My sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy... Love Sentiments.   The dies I used are Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles. I distressed the main panel with my Ditrezz It All. I LOVE that little machine!!!!  I also love double bows.  [Go HERE on YouTube to see a great tutorial on making a double bow.]

Birthday cake! - TMS #319

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  Is today your birthday or tomorrow or next week or next month?  If so, I hope you get a cake like this one!!  3 beautiful layers!  At our house, most of my family prefers cheesecake or cinnamon rolls or S'mores Bars as their "birthday cake" so I don't make cake often.  The cake on my card looks very yummy!  {Though I have to admit that while I love cats, I would not eat a cake if I found my cat sitting on it!!}

My DP is MME "Paris & Co" and embossed with CB Swiss Dots and a Darice border.  The baker's twine is AC and the button is Buttons Galore & More.  My image, that I colored with my Spectrum Noir markers, is Birthday Suprise from Sami Stamps, our sponsor for this week's challenge.

Here's our sketch for this week...

[As you can see from my card, you can use any shapes just as long as we can recognize the sketch in your project.]

Challenges...

A purr-fect friend

It's Friday!!  Yay!  Actually, do you ever wonder why we wish our lives away by always wanting the weekend to arrive or our vacation to come or Christmas or birthday or whatever it is that we look forward to?   I do that often, then I realize that "This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it."  I will be thankful for my today that the Lord has given me!

I've got a cute kitty card for you.  I love cats and we have 3 of them, but one of them is being a real pain!  However, this kitty will cause me no trouble at all!!

My DP is from the last few pages of a MME "All Dolled Up" 6x6 pack.  The edges are inked with TH tea dye distress ink.  The flowers are Recollections and the ribbon is from my remnant box.  My image and sentiment come from Kitty Bouquet COLOR Plus from Doodle Pantry.

Challenges...

Really Reasonable Ribbon  #124 - autumn colors + ribbon or trim

Cotton candy!! :)

I've got a "sweet" kid's card for you today.  It's got cotton candy on it!  {I love cotton candy even though I'm not a kid!!  My kids buy it for me at Christmas. :)}  It does seem that there are fewer and fewer places to find it fresh which is very sad!   I know it's pure sugar, but it's soooooo yummy!

So here's my cotton candy card...

My image and digi paper are from Doodle Pantry's Cotton Candy Ants.  The sentiment is cut using Spellbinders Ribbon Banners and the image is cut with Petite Ovals.  The are both inked with TH faded jeans distress ink.  A few buttons and some AC ribbon are all my simple embellishments.

Kitty hugs & kisses

Happy Friday to you!  I've got a cute little kitty to show you tonight.  I actually have 3 cute kitties here at my house that I could show you, but they don't sit still long enough for many pictures.  One of them is losing his cuteness quickly in my mind... he's been marking his territory!  (And, yes, he is neutered!) Needless to say, he's been confined to a certain area until we can figure out what to do and how to stop him.  :/

My image is  "Kitten Heart" from Sami Stamps colored with my Spectrum Noir markers.  The DP is Prima "Romance Novel."  The border is Fiskars.  The sentiment is Doodle Pantry.    The image is cut using Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A and the sentiment is cut using Spellbinders Standard Circles Sm and Lg.   The button brads are from The Paper Studio.

I used the current Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch.  Just a reminder that you have until Sunday at 8PM to come and play along!!

Challenges...
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards #84 - Love in is the air
Clear It Out - theme: anything goes + stash: anything goes (my brads are old!!)
Dies R Us #19 - hearts (used Spellbinders Nesties listed above)
Sister Act #92 - anything goes

Big Blossom - TMS #246

Happy Tuesday to you!!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  It is finally beginning to look like spring around here, so I've got a flowery Mother's Day wish to show you!

I kept my card pretty clean and simple.  I started with a Kraft base, stamped my Stampendous sentiment in Memento Rich Cocoa, added 3 strips of washi tape,  and the flower.  This was cut in the 3 smallest sizes then crumpled.  I inked the edges with TH walnut stain.   The blossom is Spellbinders Blossom Five (available at Dies R Us)......

Dies R Us just happens to be our sponsor for this week!  :)  I wish I could win!!!  I love my dies almost as much as my many (I don't dare count!) wonderful embossing folders!

Jessi created our fun sketch for this week...

Snowman thank you

Today was a sad day!   It was warm and sunny and much of our snow melted!  *moment of silence*

I spent very little time crafting lately, but did get some Christmas thank you cards made.  I need a few more and am hoping that this week things get back to 'normal'!   Ha!

Though a little bit crazy, this week was great!  We ate lots and lots of bad-for-us food (more on that below) and got to go skiing on Friday.  :)

Here's one of my thank you cards...

 Challenges...
Card Crafter's Circle #56 - "there's no business like snow business"
Chocolate, Coffee, and Cards #29 - snowmen
CAS-ual Fridays: CF84 - thank you

Now I'll show you a beautiful pic I took while skiing... I took this pic with my phone so I think that caused the glow...
Everything was covered and so beautiful!!

This is the road going to the ski hill...
I may have said it before, but I love snow!!!

Now remember I mentioned lots of food?  Have you ever had Jalapeno Popper Dip?  Or oven "fried" ravioli?  Or homemade "Totino's Pizza Rolls"?  Or deep-fried pickles?  Or deep-fried Oreos?????  I think I gained 5 lbs just New Year's Eve and New Year's Day!!  (We did eat some veggies, too!)

They were all delicious, but I was amazed at the deep fried Oreos!  When I first heard of them, I thought, "Gross!!!"  But they are delicious!!
Pizza rolls made with wonton wrappers

Deep fried dill pickle spears

Oven baked ravioli

DELICIOUS deep fried Oreos!!!
Now that you are either totally grossed out or very hungry, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Our oldest will be 16 later this month!  (They grow too fast!!!)  She loves all things British and wants a Mini Cooper, so I'm giving her one... a paper one!! :)  All the goodies I used on this card came from a blog friend in England!  Anne-Marie sent me some wonderful items when she heard my DD loved England!  Thank you again, Anne-Marie, and I hope you like what you see!   I know my daughter will LOVE this!!!
