Here's my card...

This was fun to make.  I really am a very traditional red/green for Christmas kind of girl, but I also like to change it up once in awhile.  I had this image colored and waiting to be used for awhile and found a piece of paper to match, and the rest was easy.

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

This is a good day to share a birthday card...  today is my oldest daughter's 21st birthday!!!!  How can that possibly be??!!??  When my kids were little, some days it felt like they'd never grow up, and then all of a sudden, they are grown up!!

And here's my card...

My DP is MME Lost & Found Two.  The main panel is embossed with a Lifestyle Crafts EF, and the small one is CB Swiss Dots.  My image is Tim Holtz Blueprint Assortment and the sentiment is Tim Holtz Saying Stuff.  It's cut with Spellbinders Small and Large Labels.  It's colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  My ribbon is American Crafts.


This week is exciting... it's our final TMS's 8th birthday celebration challenge. 
And the theme this week.... Use your stamps!  Pretty easy, right?  But to be very clear, your focal image must be stamped.  No digital images or die cut focal images.

This month is flying by!  We're already at our third of four challenges + themes celebrating our 8th anniversary here at TMS!  

My card is not celebratory but one that is too often necessary. :( 

My DP is Authentique "Journey."  My sentiment is PTI Botanical Silhouettes.  I heat embossed it.  The main panels are cut using Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics.  The swirl is Spellbinders Doodle Parts.  The paper flowers are Recollections and the brad is from my stash.

Have yourself a merry little Christmas - CCC #17

Happy Sunday to you!  It's time for Christmas Card Challenges!!

My card is pretty simple, but still has character.  IMHO, anyway. ;)

I stamped my Momenta clear sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black, then embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Rather than cut it out, I cut my DP (a scrap) with Spellbinders Celebra'tions Pierced Squares so that the sentiment showed through.  I wrapped it with some twine, cut some branches with my MS punch, and added Making Memories paper flowers and a We R Memory Keepers brad.


Our challenge is always anything goes Christmas/holiday, but we also always have an optional challenge.  Here is this week's photo... (I was inspired by the words.)

Cardinal Christmas - TMS #411

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  It's our second week of celebrating TMS's 8th anniversary!  This week, we've got our sketch + the theme of "Christmas in July"!

My cardinal image (and die) is from Sweet n Sassy Christmas Joy.  I colored him with my Spectrum Noir markers.  My sentiment is Raisin Boat Merry Nature.  My DP is the Paper Studio Pine St. Square.  (I LOVE this stack!!!)  I used Spellbinders Celebra'tions Pierced Squares and A2 Matting Basics.  My baker's twine is Recollections.

Rosy "hello" - TMS #410

Happy Independence Day to all my American friends!! 

And Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!   Today is an exciting day, but more on that below! :)

 

I love how this card turned out!  It was fun to make!  My paper is all Fancy Pants scraps.  The roses are QuicKutz Rose.  I embossed the white panel with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots.  The sentiment is a Hero Arts clear sentiment stamped with Memento Bamboo Leaves and Versamark.  I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  

**You will see lots more cards made with scraps... I'm going to try not to buy any more paper for at least 6 months!  Think I can do it?  I'm going to try! :)

 Here is our exciting news...   Tuesday Morning Sketches is 8 yrs old!!!  So we are celebrating ALL MONTH LONG!!!  Along with our wonderful sketch, we'll have a special theme for you to follow.   Here's Melissa's "official" announcement....

We have a special month planned - yes, we are celebrating all month long.  We'll feature new sketches each week and there will be a theme, too.  There will be a prize weekly and the link tool will remain open until the end of the month leading to the last week.  But one thing to note, even though the link will remain open, at precisely 8pm ET I will do the random draw and keep note of the numbers.  So no sneaking in those late entries.  This means you have up to 4 chances to win the prize at the end of the month.  It's a pretty big prize so you'll want to get in on that.  It's also a surprise so I won't say anymore on that.

A Christmas tree - CCC #16

Happy Sunday to you!!   It's time for Christmas Card Challenges!  This week, I have a very simple card for you.  I love CAS cards but I really struggle with them.  I admire those who create them so beautifully!  As I said, this is very simple, and I'm even pleased with it...

I used my CM corner rounder on two edges of a pre-made Kraft card.  My tree is Memory Box Snowflake Tree die cut from a scrap of green cardstock.  I added a few Recollections Rhinestone stickers for ornaments.  My sentiment is Raisin Boat.  Easy peasy! :)


Here's our inspiration photo for this challenge...  I was inspired by the red ornaments.
