Fall thank you

It's finally feeling like fall!  Yay for sweaters and boots and caramel corn! :)
This year our leaves are a little slower turning than usual, but it looks like we are going to have a beautiful year!

I've had both this image and sentiment sitting on my table for awhile, and since I'm trying to use up all the piles of images, die cuts, and scraps, I searched for challenge inspiration and finally put this one on a card...

The colors don't clash IRL, I promise! :/

My image is a colored digi from Fred, She Said.  It's cut out with CottageCutz Stitched Rectangles.  It's on a panel of DCWV corrugated paper.  "Thank You" is Spellbinders Die D-Lites Sentiments 6.

Challenges...
If You Give A Crafter A Cookie #104 - photo inspiration
Creative Knockouts #266 - lots of layers
4 Crafty Chicks #423 - something old is new (the corrugated paper is OLD!!)
Aud Sentiments #213 - use 2-word sentiment
Die Cut Divas - autumn or halloween

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!!

It Is Well With My Soul

Sympathy cards.  I do not ever want to have to make them and really dislike making them, but on the other hand, I do enjoy it.  Only because I want them to be a blessing for the recipient.  I want them to know I care and am thinking of them and praying for them, so I often put more care into a sympathy card than another kind of card, but I've had to make too many recently!  The card I'm sharing today is one that a lot of love and effort went into.  It was made for a college friend who lost her husband after a great physical battle resulting from a stroke.  Too young!  Too soon!  But God had a plan, and their whole family was such a sweet testimony of God's strength and grace through it all.  Often in her updates on his condition, she often shared a song and what it had meant to her that day.

When I saw Sweet n Sassy Stamps' Hymn Blocks set, and I knew I wanted to get it and would use it often, so I ordered it.  When I needed to make her family a card, I knew I needed to use that set.   It has phrases from 6 songs, but I used "It Is Well."

I made it into an easel card...

I love you - TMS #390

Happy Tuesday to you!  And Happy Valentine's Day!   Whether you go for the roses and candy and cards or not, be sure to tell your loved ones that you love them!  Of course, you should be doing that EVERY day of the year!!!  Several times a day, IMHO! ;)

It is Tuesday, so it's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!   I've actually got 2 cards today.  Here's the first...

My paper, vellum, and ribbon were all from my scrap boxes.  :)  My heart is Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Hearts.  The "I Love You" is  Die-Versions Sweet Wordlets.   It's not visible in the pic, but the "I Love You" paper shimmers.

Challenges...

4 Crafty Chicks #337 - love
Glitter 'N' Sparkle #226 - Love is in the air!
