Christmas birdies

Happy Saturday to you!  Today, I'm busy painting my kitchen.  We're hoping and praying that the flooring and cabinets will arrive next week.  We hadn't planned to get a new kitchen this fall, but a couple of weeks ago, the waterline to my dishwasher broke and it flooded.  That meant we've got renovations in the kitchen and family room below it.  It could have been much worse, so I'm very thankful!!  We hooked up a laundry sink for water, the stove and fridge weren't damaged, so we're still eating! :) 

Speaking of eating, my kids are already talking about how they are looking forward to Christmas dinner!  And speaking of Christmas, I've got a Christmas card to show you...  [How's that for connecting no kitchen to Christmas cards?? :) ]

This is a fall card...

This little cutie is Pumpkin Birdie from Doodle Pantry.   The image and sentiment are cut out using Spellbinders Labels 4.  {{I do have a confession... this image was on a card I'd made before, but I didn't like it, so I ripped it apart and it was sitting, patiently waiting to be used on a card that I'll actually send! LOL}}  The leaves are cut with Spellbinders Foliage.  My DP is Crate Paper Farmhouse.  The  main panel is embossed with Darice Fall Leaf EF.

Fall is coming!!! Some of our evenings are getting very cool, and it feels great!   I also  love to see the fall harvest... corn, pumpkins, apples... :)  Though my favorite part of fall is the changing leaves!

Happy Christmas - CCC #32

I've got a cute (IMO) card for Christmas Card Challenges to share today...

I love snow!  And I love snowmen!  This cutie is FTHS "Flurry" and the sentiment is from FTHS "Candy Cane for Snowman."  He's cut out with CottageCutz Stitched Rectangles.  My DP is Recollections Cozy Lodge.  The snowflake flourish is CC Designs Winter Wonderland die, and the snowflakes are Sweet 'n Sassy Small Snowflakes dies.  The paper for these has glitter on it and I added some shimmer to the snowflakes on the image with a sparkle gel pen. (If you click on this pic to enlarge it, you can see it a bit better. It is very pretty IRL.)

This week at Christmas Card Challenges, our word prompt is "snowman" to inspire you! (Remember that the only real rule is that you create a Christmas/holiday card.)

Hi - TMS #356

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  

This was a fun image to color.  Though I have to say that I really dislike bugs!  In the fall, we have some kind of bug that is similar to a lady bug that they tell me has some good use on the farms around, but I just hate them in my house!!!  
Pardon the rant... now on to the details...
My paper was a scrap that I distressed.  The "hi" is a Stampendous clear stamp and cut out with Spellbinders Circles.  My image is BUGLBDAISY ladybug daisy (colored with Spectrum Noir markers) from Bugaboo... our sponsor this week!  Play along for a chance to win 7 images of your choice from Bugaboo Stamps!!
