Paris skyline - C4G #213

 It's time again for a challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Our theme is "cityscape"!  We want to see a city/skyline whether it's in your stamp or your dies or your paper. :) 

Here's my Parisian skyline...

The background paper is Carte Bella Metropolitan Girl.  It's embossed with Darice Cloudy Sky. My buildings are Honey Bee Stamps Paris Skyline Scene Builder.  The horizon is Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes.  The sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy Script Sentiments.

Homespun Holidays - TMS #734

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This challenge will run for 2 weeks and we are collaborating with Double Trouble again!  We are joining them for Challenge #154 - "Keep Calm and Stitch On"   Their challenge runs from Mon, Nov 20 - Sun, Dec 3.  Ours starts today, Nov 21, and runs until Dec 3, too. 

Let me show you my card, then I'll explain...

My paper is Recollections Christmas Plaids.  The background panel is red cardstock cut with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics and dry embossed with Darice Crackle.  My image and sentiment are from Peachy Keen Stamps (Nov 2013 release... 10 years old!!) and colored with Copics.   It's cut out with CottageCutz Double Stitched Ovals.  So I have stitching is on my image and my die.

Embossed birthday - C4G #212

It's time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  I've got a fun birthday card to share for this challenge and our theme of "embossing - wet or dry."  If you have followed me for any time at all, you probably know that my all-time favorite technique is dry embossing, so that's what I did for my background.  I actually heat embossed my sentiment, so I technically did both types. :)  Here's my card...

I embossed the card front with Sizzix Cloudy Day.  The hills are Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes.  I created the sunflowers with TH Small Tattered Flowers.  (Not sure what I used for the center.)  The fence is Poppystamps Pointy Picket Double Gate (only used half), and I stamped it with Honey Bee Stamps Barn Wood Background for texture.  My sentiment is Sweet n Sassy Stamps Pennant Party.

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Here's my card for this week's challenge...

My paper is Echo Park Christmas.  The sentiment is from the paper pack, too.  I fussy cut it and a frame around it.  The greenery is a MS punch and the red dots are Scrapbook.com Pops of Color. The panels are all cut out with Scalloped Stitched Rectangles.

Happy birthday - TMS #732

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Today, I'm sharing my hubby's birthday card.  Shhh!  His birthday isn't until Friday. ;) 

It's technically not for his birthday, but my hubby (and me, too) is getting a new car this week.  Last week, our daughter who is a teacher, was on her way to school.  She was driving our car for a couple of reasons.  At 6:30, it's still dark around here, and a big buck jumped out of the ditch in front of her. We're soooooo thankful she was in our car which is much larger than what she normally would have been driving, so she was not hurt, PTL!!  But... the car was totaled. :/  We did find a car just yesterday, so we're happy. :) 

The frame  is Spellbinders Postage Stamps.  My paper is We R Memory Keepers Sunsplashed.  The car is from The Project Bin Classic Man.  The ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment is Sweet n Sassy Stamps Script Sentiments.

Thank you - C4G #211

It's time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Our theme for this challenge is "Thank you, Thankful, or Thanksgiving."  

I chose to make a fun thank you card...

My thank you is a Simon Says Stamp Thank You Cover Plate.  I embossed it with CB Swiss Dots EF and layered it on a plaid piece of paper that was on my desk.  The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.

merry Christmas - SCC #154

It's November!!  Less than 2 months to get those Christmas cards made and sent, so why not come and play along at Sparkles Christmas Challenge?  Our theme this month is "Christmas stockings" so get busy and show us your stockings. :) 

My paper is Crate Paper Snow and Cocoa.  My image and sentiment are stickers from the Paper Studio Happy Hootin' Holidays 12 x 12 scrapbook kit.  The ovals are cut with CottageCutz Double Stitched Ovals.  The baker's twine is from my stash.  Easy peasy! ;)
