Eat my cookin' - TMS #326

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  I've got a fun project but I used the sketch on a goodie box rather than a card this week.  Last week, I shared my caramel corn recipe (click here if you're interested) and that would be great to use to fill this box...

In case you can't read it, the sentiment says,
"Many people have eaten my cooking
& gone on to lead normal lives"
LOL

I made the sketch square to fit the top of the box.

The box is from a file for a cookie box that I found HERE at The Project Girl's blog.  The box is made using Christmas Kraft.  The main panel on top is Kraft that is embossed with Sizzix Berry Swirls and inked with Memento Rhubarb Stalk.     My brads and ribbon are from my stash.  The image is Baked With Love from Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet... our sponsor for this week!

Here's our sketch...

Harvest lunch bag centerpieces

On Saturday evening, we just had our Harvest Dinner at our church.  I was in charge of the decorations.   We did have some cornstalks, hay bales, and mums in the corner, but the main focus was on the tables.  Our tables are not very wide and there was going to be some food on them, so whatever I make has to take up pretty small spaces.  After searching and trying a few things I did not like, I came up with "bag vases."   I didn't get very good pics of the final product, but they worked will with the brown table runner, our orange chairs [ yuck!!  :-P ], and a fall theme.

K & Co fall paper was cut down to 8 1/2" x 11" so I could print verses on it.  I then used Spellbinders Labels Eight to cut them out, inked the edges, and mounted on larger labels.

I embossed the bottom part of the lunch bags...

I then opened it and placed 2 more bags inside to give it more stability to stand, inked the edges, and folded the top down...

I forgot a pic, but inside the bag, I glued down a chunk of Styrofoam  and added a few glass beads for weight. I glued 2 verse panels back to back with a wooden skewer in between, joined the skewer to a leaf bunch (dollar store!!!), added a bit of raffia (hard to see), poked it into the Styrofoam, then tied 2 lengths of twine to cinch the bag a bit.

Here's the final product again...

Sweet treats

Here's a quick post that I hope will work correctly!  For some reason, Blogger and I have not been playing well together this week.  I've not had a lot of time to go visiting blogs, but whenever I try to comment, it is fine for a couple, then it tells me something is not working!  Grrr!

Sorry for the bad attitude!  Happy Valentine's Day!!

These were the treats that I made for our sweetheart dinner...
Filled with Hershey's Hugs and Kisses
All ready to go... but I made 52... one's missing!  :-O

I saw this pillow box on Gwen's blog and thought they'd be great for our dinner, so I went to SVG Cutting Files and bought the file.  (It is still on sale as of posting time)  I sized it to get 2 from a 12x12 paper.

I "designed" the tags in MTC, printed them, punched them out, and tied with a bit of ribbon.

Sympathy, new life, and Christmas trees

A little bit of everything in this post...

I printed some digis a couple of weeks ago and used one of them this weekend.  This is a sympathy card using a verse from Daydream Designs.  I'm submitting this card to Word Art Wednesday #57 - giving/anything goes.

This  verse is from the Design Team Scripture Set 1

Now on to "new life"!  My niece had a baby boy in October and I put vinyl on a onesie for him...
My kids want sweatshirts that say the same thing! :)

And finally, Christmas!  We had our ladies Christmas party at church this past weekend.  I was sick most of last week so many things I had procrastinated too long to get done planned to do, I did not get done.  :/  I did manage a few paper trees for the tables that turned out ok.   I found these on Pinterest though I had to search and search for the post!  So then I pinned the actual post.  Click here to see the Pin.  Pardon me while I rant a little... Link to the POST not just the BLOG, people!!

I'm entering my trees in Decorate to Celebrate's challenge #39 - holiday choice
Couldn't find red doilies, so used Valentine leftovers!
Cut stars on my Cricut and adhered with a toothpick
I also made the favors.  I saw and loved this one that Melissa had made, so went looking for instructions and made them using K&Co Mod Holiday double-sided DP cut to 6x6.

I forgot to take pics of the other side... it had another piece of chocolate and a tag wishing them a Merry Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by!!!
