The most wonderful time of the year - TMS #586

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Only 3 days 'til CHRISTmas!!!  :)   This is our Annual Anything Goes challenge!  No sketch, no limits.  And this challenge goes for 2 weeks, so you've got time to play even at this busy season.  Maybe even with some new toys you find under your tree.  ;)

I have a fun project to show you... embossed ornaments!  What do you think?  Take a look and then I'll explain how to do it.

"the most wonderful time of the year"

"in this house we laugh play & we jingle all the way"
(I must have moved on this one.  It didn't emboss as clearly as the others.)

"Don't get your tinsel in a tangle"

My sentiments are SumMore Fun Tangled Tinsel.  I used VersaMark, white embossing powder, and ribbon from my stash.

To do this, use an anti-static tool or bag on the ornament.  Ink the stamp with VersaMark, hold it in the palm of your hand (curving it slightly in your hand), and firmly press the ornament into the stamp.  Pour the embossing powder on and gently heat emboss.  Take your time, being sure to keep the gun moving.  Add a bow and enjoy!

I wish you a very Merry Christmas!!  See you in 2021!

Rustic Christmas - TMS #585

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I really should be at the point of mailing my Christmas cards rather than still making them, but... this is 2020!  Enough said.

After putting this all together, I realized I had cut the squares in a way that makes them all blend together rather than show distinctly, bit I didn't have time to fix it.  It's ok IRL, but not so great in this pic. :/

My paper is the Paper Studio Pine St Square. I love the rustic look of this!!

My sentiment is Raisin Boat Formal Phrases.  My tiny snowflakes are a little punch that I got when I first started paper crafting in 2005!

Here's our fun sketch...

Joy - TMS #584

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Yep, still making Christmas cards! :)

My paper is the Paper Studio Pine St. Square.  The mittens and sentiment were in my huge file of printed and waiting stuff, so I cannot remember where they are from.  Some baker's twine from my stash finished it off.

I created this sketch based on a card that I made back in the spring...

Obviously, a grad card.  My cap is from Sweet n Sassy "Congrats Grad."  I heat embossed it as you can see better in the next pic.  The paper was from my scrap box.   and how funny that I used the same twine... 7 months later! LOL

Here's the sketch...

Non-Traditional Christmas - SCC #119

It is December!  The month of Christmas is here!  And soon after... 2020 will be over!!!

(This is my second post today.  If you're looking for my Tuesday Morning Sketches post, keep scrolling or click HERE.)

What a year it has been!   I'm sure you've faced your own battles this year with the huge impact that Covid-19 had on our world.  Maybe you've struggled a lot.  Maybe this didn't personally affect you much.  Either way, it has been tough for so many.  I hope that as we look toward this Christmas season, you know the truth of Christmas!  Jesus Christ was born in a manger, lived a perfect life, and gave His life on the cross of Calvary so that every person who trusts in Him can know they have a home in heaven one day.  Trusting the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Savior not only gives us hope for eternity, but brings joy and peace in this life!  If you would like me to share more about this blessed truth with you, please contact me!

So when you enjoy your Christmas tree, your snowmen, your family and friends, don't forget to keep Christ as the center of you CHRISTmas!!

For our challenge this month at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #119, our theme is non-traditional colors.  If you know me, this is not usually me.  I love my red and green! :)  But I am pleased with this card...

Depending on your monitor, this might look more blue.  IRL it is a pretty teal green.  Looks great on my iPhone, but  looks an odd blue on my Dell laptop, so I'm not sure which you're seeing... sorry!

My paper is Graphic 45 Christmas Carol.  I clear heat embossed and die cut the trees which are My Favorite Things O Christmas Trees.  My sentiment is Sweet n Sassy Stamps Christmas Tags and cut out with Spellbinders Ribbon Banners.  My hills are Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes.

Please come join us at Sparkles Christmas Challenge!

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed Christmas season!!

Jeremiah 29:11 - TMS #583

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!

A non-Christmas card for a change! ;)  My sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy Stamps "God's Will" clear stamp.  This is one of my favorite verses in all of Scripture!!  What a comfort this is during a year like this!   The verse is stamped with VersaFine Black Onyx and heat embossed.  It's cut out with Spellbinders Petite Ovals.  My DP is Pebbles "Family Ties."  The border punch is Martha Stewart.
