Annual anything goes - TMS #484

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This is our last challenge for 2018 and it's our Annual Anything Goes!

Here's my project...

In case you can't read it...
Bless
the food before us,
the family
beside us, &
the love between us.
~Amen

You might be wondering why I did vinyl on a tile for a card sketch challenge.  Like I said, it's anything goes!  But there was a thought process for it... when I first started paper crafting, I did mostly scrapbooking.  A friend bought me the original small Cricut.  I loved it!!  I then got myself an Expression.  Still using it!  I started making a few cards, began to play in some challenges, and got hooked!  Most of my early cards have a Cricut cut or sentiment on them.  I branched out into stamping and embossing and dies, so my Cricut sits sad and alone most days.  BUT I do love to make vinyl sayings for walls, t-shirts, and tiles and that is basically all I do on my Cricut E now.  All that rambling to tell you how I came about to making a vinyled tile for this challenge... going back to my Cricut roots.  :)

I've seen this saying many places, so I don't believe I'm plagiarizing by using it.  I used fonts I have on my computer and cut the words to fit this 12x12 ceramic tile. I love the wooden look to it!!  (I'd have flipped it if I'd noticed the dark spot where the lower words are, but it is actually not as noticeable IRL.)

This challenge will run for 2 weeks, so you have until Sunday, Dec 30 at 8 PM EST to play along.  Then we're taking a week off and will be back up and running on Jan 8.

I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!!

See you in the new year!!

TMS #482 - take two

After finishing my card for yesterday's challenge, I was working on more Christmas cards.  I found a stamp set that I've not inked up yet, then I had the thought to try a nativity die for the 3 elements under the main image of this week's sketch.  This is the result.  I like it!  What do you think?

My sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie's Nativity Sentiments.  I cut it out with Spellbinders Classic Squares and inked it with TH tea dye before removing it from the die.  My DP is the Paper Studio Old World Winter.  My ribbon is Paper Studio.  The animals and manger is Die-Versions Nativity Border trimmed down to fit what I needed.   It does look much better IRL.  I'm planning to get some daylight bulbs next trip to WM so that my pics look brighter.

Here's the sketch again...  please come over to Tuesday Morning Sketches and play along!!

TMS #479 - take two

Hi!  Our sketch this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches was fun to use and after creating 2 cards which you can scroll down to see or click HERE, I had the thought that this sketch would make a great shaker card.  So I made one!

I stamped my Sunny Studios clear sentiment on the card base.  I cut a circle using  Spellbinders Standard Circles in 2 layers of fun foam to give a pocket for my Christmas colored sequins.  I cut the scalloped hole with Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Circles.  The DP is the Paper Studio Pine St Square.  I used MS branch punch for the leaves and added a Cassa Collection flower.

Challenges...
Crafty Sentiments Designs - Christmas
Addicted to Stamps and More #318 - holiday

As you can see, I changed up the center shape of the sketch and put my sentiment inside the shape, but the sketch is still recognizable which is all we ask...

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

Thankful - TMS #477

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I'm excited about my card this week because while I'm not an embellishing queen, I tend to struggle with CAS cards.  But I was able to make one that I like!  Once you see the sketch, you'll realize that it is perfect for either category.   Take a look...

I will admit this took a couple of tries before I was happy with the result, but I really like it.  All my elements are stamped with Raisin Boat "Thankful" except for the MME fishtail.

Challenges...

Endless possibilities - TMS #475

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This week's sketch is so fun... with endless possibilities!  You can change up the decorative element in many different ways... I actually made 5 cards with 3 different elements... paisley, snowflakes, and flowers! :)
Here's the first one...

I created and cut these paisleys using Make-the-Cut and my Cricut.  The sentiment is Spellbinders Die D-Lites Sentiments 6.  My paper is from my scrap box.  A few sequins finished if off.

Another paisley card... using Stampin Up Paisley Framelits.

Snowflakes, anyone?

Sweet n Sassy snowflakes and Pink and Main sentiment die

Sorry for the reflection of my red sweater!! :D

That silver card is my favorite, so I'm entering it into a few challenges...

CraftyHazelnut's Christmas #407 - anything goes or twist (I did AG)
52 Christmas Card Throwdown Oct Colour challenge - silver
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge #486 - Christmas

Fall thank you

It's finally feeling like fall!  Yay for sweaters and boots and caramel corn! :)
This year our leaves are a little slower turning than usual, but it looks like we are going to have a beautiful year!

I've had both this image and sentiment sitting on my table for awhile, and since I'm trying to use up all the piles of images, die cuts, and scraps, I searched for challenge inspiration and finally put this one on a card...

The colors don't clash IRL, I promise! :/

My image is a colored digi from Fred, She Said.  It's cut out with CottageCutz Stitched Rectangles.  It's on a panel of DCWV corrugated paper.  "Thank You" is Spellbinders Die D-Lites Sentiments 6.

If You Give A Crafter A Cookie #104 - photo inspiration

4 Crafty Chicks #423 - something old is new (the corrugated paper is OLD!!)
