Thank you - C4G #176

It's time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Our theme is "triangles."

Here's my card...

I was trying to think of a way to incorporate triangles into a card when I realized that my triangles could be a border or a panel or a "line."  So this is what I did.

Cardstock triangles cut with Kaise Craft Nesting Triangles.  In order to get them straight, I lined them up in my MISTI, held them together with easy release tape, adhered them down on the card base, and gently pulled off the tape. The small circle of DP is Bo Bunny Early Bird and cut with Die-versions Stitched Circles.  The sentiment is several layers of 110 lb black cardstock.   (This is my new favorite trick because it gives dimension without the bulk of pop dots or fun foam.)  Easy peasy card, but still cute. ;)

A paper hug - TMS #663

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I've got a card to show you and a hug for you... a paper hug. :)

My paper is fancy pants Summer's End.  I stacked 3 coordinating sheets, cut them, combined them how I wanted them, then cut out the size I wanted.  I got 2 cards. (See number 2 below.)  Couldn't get a third because one of the sheets had some missing.  My sentiment is from Poppystamps Marzipan Greetings.  (Going to be using this one a lot!)  It's cut out with CottageCutz Stitched Rectangles. I added a few adhesive dots to finish it off.

Here's the second card...

Here's our fun sketch...

best wishes on your Retirement - TMS #662

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I wish I were posting about my retirement...   Just think of all the time I'd have to make cards! LOL

The flowers are Technique Tuesday Cosmos Flower die.  I embossed the panel behind the flowers with Tim Holtz Dotted Lines Set EF.  The words are Die-versions Everyday Complements and an unbranded set of letters.  I cut them with fun foam, too, to pop them us a little.  Just a touch of Recollections adhesive pearl flourish to finish it off.  (My paper was all from my scrap box.)

Here's the sketch...

Soda-lightful - C4G #175

It's time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Our theme is "use dies and/or punches."  I used dies for my card...

I used a stencil and blended 3 Catherine Pooler colors.  (The stencil is from a pack of cookie stencils I got at Tuesday Morning that never made it into my kitchen!)  My pop bottles and sentiments are from My Favorite Things Soda Pop clear stamps and dies.  The flower was in my stash.
These are not usually my go to colors, but I really like how this turned out.

I'm entering this card in a few challenges...
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Add a sentiment
Happy Little Stampers  - June AG with dies
Sweet Stampin' Challenge - use 3 of a kind (must include stamping)
Do Al(l) Creative - group (at least 3 of something)

Please come play along at Cardz 4 Galz and add some girly cards to your stash!
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

Hello - TMS #661

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Here's my card for this week's challenge...

I don't have a rounded corner rectangle die set (as you'll see in the sketch below) and could have used my CM corner rounder, but my Kat Scrappiness Wonky Wavy Stitched Rectangle set was out on my desk, so I used it.   My flowers, leaves, and sentiment are Altenew Cartoon Rose.  This is a fun layering stamp set.  The polka dot paper was in my scrap box, and the ribbon is from my stash. And.... as I write this post, I realized I put the ribbon on the wrong layer. Oops! Like I often say, the sketch can be interpreted however you like, just as long as we can see the sketch.  Or you can make "mistakes" like I did and pretend you just took creative license. LOL

Here's the sketch...

If friends were flowers - TMS #660

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches

The sentiment and flower are digis from MHK Designs.  I colored the flower with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut it.  The back Kraft panel is embossed with Darice Cherry Blossom. I cut 3 ovals with Spellbinders Petite Ovals.  The sentiment was cut with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics.

Here is our sketch... (I'm interested to see how everyone will interpret the ovals behind the front panel.)

Courage is - C4G #174

Hello!  Thanks for visiting my blog today!

Today, I've got a card for our challenge over at Cardz 4 Galz.  Our theme for this challenge is "use two or more designer papers."  For my card, I dug in my stash and found a pad that I've had forever and found a few pages I still liked.  (Am I the only one who uses up all the "pretty" pages and leaves the pad with a few left just sitting there? LOL)

My DP is MME Paris & Co.  Even the polka dot strip that looks like ribbon is DP.  My image and sentiment are Neat & Tangled "Have Courage."  My flower was stamped on a plain piece from the same paper pad, I colored it just a little with a marker for depth, and dry embossed it with CB Swiss Dots. (After it was all together, I wished I had stamped the flower and sentiment in brown rather than black, but too late now.)

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

Cute Christmas Critter - SCC #137

It's time for Sparkles Christmas Challenge #137!  This month our theme is Cute Christmas Critters!

Here's my cute critter...

My cute critter is a precolored digi from Imagine That! Digis by Kris "JOYful Reindeer.".  I inked the BG so it would show up better against the frame.  (Imagine That is closed, but I still have plenty of cute digis to play with.)  My paper is Echo Park "Christmas" and I embossed a cross stitched rectangle on it.  The "Polaroid" frame is Papertrey Ink "Instant Photo #1."  My sentiment is Momenta Christmas Phrases that I heat embossed.  My button is 4 layers of Papertrey Ink's Buttoned Up #1. The snip of ribbon and the twine are from my stash.

This year is going quickly, so please come and play along with us as you get ready for Christmas.  It's only 208 days away! :D
