Lifting you up - TMS #670

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Here's my card...

This was pretty quick and easy to put together.  The image is a colored digi stamp from Love Lifts You from Imagine That! Digis by Kris (which is sadly closed) and was in my printed-and-waiting-to-be-used box.  It was cut out with CottageCutz Double Stitched Ovals.  I try to be very careful with my crafting budget, but I have actually bought a few new things recently and felt justified because I am using up my stash that has been sitting around waiting.  This card is all stash. :)

The BG panel was created with DRS Designs Woven Plaid.  I made it for another card and wasn't happy with it (the angle of the plaid is off), so it's been sitting on my desk.  After seeing it several times and wondering why I hadn't used it, I realized that the problem probably wasn't noticeable unless I would draw attention to it.  Which I obviously just did. LOL

A small piece of green cardstock dry embossed with Darice Dots BG and some baker's twine from my stash, and it was done.

Cute Christmas Critter - SCC #137

 It's time for Sparkles Christmas Challenge #137!  This month our theme is Cute Christmas Critters!    

Here's my cute critter...

My cute critter is a precolored digi from Imagine That! Digis by Kris "JOYful Reindeer.".  I inked the BG so it would show up better against the frame.  (Imagine That is closed, but I still have plenty of cute digis to play with.)  My paper is Echo Park "Christmas" and I embossed a cross stitched rectangle on it.  The "Polaroid" frame is Papertrey Ink "Instant Photo #1."  My sentiment is Momenta Christmas Phrases that I heat embossed.  My button is 4 layers of Papertrey Ink's Buttoned Up #1. The snip of ribbon and the twine are from my stash.

This year is going quickly, so please come and play along with us as you get ready for Christmas.  It's only 208 days away! :D

Gingerbread Christmas - SCC #108

A whole new world year!!! :)  It's time for Sparkles Christmas Challenge #108 with the theme of "for a child."  I got to choose the theme for this month. :)

Most cards I make are made with adults or an entire family in mind, so it was fun to create just for a child...

And this will be fun for a child... I used an Action Wobble behind the image...

 My image is a pre-colored digi from Imagine That Digistamp "Gingerbread Scene."  My paper is K&Compnay Mod Holiday. I used Double Stitched Rectangles and Stitched Banners from Cheapo Dies.  I also used a MFT Ric Rac die.


So I know Christmas was just a week ago, but it's now 2020!  It's never too early to start getting ready for this year.  ;)

Sweet Christmas - TMS #322

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  Today, I've got another Christmas card.  I've been making quite a few, but have nowhere near enough yet, so I'm still working on them!  I think this one is really sweet...

My DP is AC "Let It Snow" embossed with Sizzix "Snowflakes.  My large snowflake behind the image is a Darice die.  The green frame is cut with Spellbinders Celebra'tions Pierced Squares.  The flourish and adhesive pearls are Recollections.  The image is the colored "Mistletoe Kitty" from Imagine That! ...digis by Kris.

For the bride and groom - M5D new release

The season of graduations and weddings is upon us!  I've made a couple of grad cards, but today I have a wedding card for you.  This is made with one of the wonderful new releases available at McMahon Five Designs. 

My DP is all digi paper from Bella's Beauties "Romance Set 1 Papers."  The sentiment is from Imagine That! digis by Kris "Wedding Day."

Again, this is a card that looks much better in real life.  The pearl flourishes are almost invisible in the pic, but they are really pretty IRL.   I used Spellbinders Labels Five to cut the sentiment.  I made a double bow with the black ribbon.  Here is a link to the tutorial if you are interested...  double bow tutorial.  I bookmarked this quite awhile ago and refer to it whenever I forget this quick and easy method! :)

Spring flowers -- M5D New Release!!

Happy Friday!!  Today we have some new releases for you at McMahon Five Designs! I've got some spring flowers!  On Sunday, I came home from church and a few of my crocuses were blooming!!  Finally a sign of spring!  Then we got snow on Wednesday!  Haha!  (But you know me... I love snow any time! :) )

I used the colored image and sentiment from Imagine That! digis by Kris set "Bloom Where You Are Planted."  Very cute set!!!   My DP is AC "Lucky Charm" embossed with Cuttlebug "Love Language" EF.  The image and sentiment panels are cut with Spellbinders Labels Fifteen.

Friday Release at M5D

Happy Friday to you!!  Today at McMahon Five Designs, we have some new releases as well as some flashback projects to show you!

Mine is a new release from Imagine That! digis by Kris...  I used Airplanes and Take Flight Papers.

The pilot's head and scarf are sticking out of the plane.  :)  I had printed 2 and was fussy cutting the whole image to pop up when I realized my printer had put a line through the plane that was very visible.  Grrr!  So then I just cut his head off.

Today, there are some new releases now available at McMahon Five Designs!!

I used Daffodil + Sentimental Thoughts from Imagine That! digis by Kris.   My DP frame is Prima "Madeline."

My image and frame were cut with Spellbinders Labels 8.  I printed the daffodils twice and fussy cut just the flower and popped it up for some extra dimension.  These bows have been in my stash since I started scrapping in 2005!!!

Friendly Flashback Friday at M5D!!

Wow!  Has this been a crazy week of weather, or what??  Snow even in Florida!  (It's not fair... it never snowed in Florida when I was there!!)

Today, we are flashing back to some previous releases at McMahon Five Designs.

For this card, I used Bella & Skipper Outline. 

I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers and cut it out with Spellbinders Labels 15.  My DP is actually from a We R Memory Keepers 6x6 journal pack.   It is all inked with TH "peeled paint." The flowers are Prima and I added tiny adhesive pearls to the center.

It's Friday!!  Yay!!!  Today is the end of the second quarter which means we are halfway through our home schooling year!  My kids are happy!  I am, too, but this means I get to spend my weekend grading exams and getting their reports ready. :/

Aren't these ginger bread cute???  And, like I said, they are fun!!  I added them with an Action Wobble!

I used the outline images and colored them with  my Spectrum Noir markers, but as you see, they come colored, too!   My DP is Recollections "O Christmas Tree."  I used Darice Dots and Sizzix Snowflakes embossing folders, Spellbinders Labels Eight, and a scrap of polka dot ribbon.

M5D New Release!

My card is made with a fun set from Imagine That! digis by Kris.  

My image and sentiment are from Gertie Goose Winter...

 

My printer has some issues and tends to print colors much more 'dull' than they should be, so I used my Spectrum Noir markers to add a bit more color.  (Unfortunately, I don't have the purple set yet!)  The embossed BG is a Sizzix snowflake folder.  The lg snowflakes are an EK Success punch.  The tiny snowflakes are a little punch that I've had forever and can't remember who made it.  The snowflakes were all cut from Slice sparkle DP.  Here's a close up...

McMahon Five Designs New Release!!

Whoo hoo!  Today, some new sets are releasing at McMahon Five Designs!!   New is always fun!

My card is made with a set from Imagine That! digis by Kris... "Bella and Skipper - COLOR."

 Aren't they fun??  My printer seems to print everything very 'dull' compared to what it should be, but it still is cute!

My DP is fancy pants "summer's end" and I inked the edges with TH walnut stain distress ink.  I adhered the image directly to the card front, then used my Spellbinder to cut the opening in the DP and popped it up.   A bit of baker's twine and a few SU buttons finish it all off.
