Summer-y thank you - TMS #514

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Today, I have 3 cards to show you!  I made one because I need to replenish my stash of sympathy cards, made another because I wasn't really happy with the first, then made another and I liked it more than either of the other two.

My first card (actually the third one made), is a summery thank you... (As you'll see, I stretched the sketch sideways.)

My bicycle image is an AC clear stamp stamped with Hero Arts Navy.  The clear sentiment is Bo Bunny.  My paper is the Paper Studio Country Road.  For dies, I used MFT Stitched Ric Rac, Die-versions Stitched Circles, and CottageCutz Stitched Rectangles.

I've also got a cute baby card for you today.  At least, it's cute IMHO. ;)   And it's also my opinion that this would be a baby card.  It wouldn't necessarily have to be for a baby, but I think that's how I'll categorize it...

This card uses MME Fine and Dandy "True Blue" clear stamps and papers that I've had forever!  I stamped the owl and zigzag in VersaColor Laurel Leaf and heat embossed with clear EP.  The bow is VersaColor Old Rose. I colored the owl with Copic BG10.  I used Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics and CottageCutz Stitched Rectangles.

And finally (thought the first one created) is a sympathy card...

My sentiment is JustRite Sympathy Handwritten Sentiments.  My paper is Heidi Grace Daydream. I used Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics and MFT Stitched Ric Rac dies.

And finally, here's our sketch...

Cactus birthday

Happy birthday to my oldest child... 23!  How can that be??!!?  She's been away and coming home tonight, so though her birthday was on Thursday, I just made her card this morning.  She loves cacti!

I stamped the card with Stampabilities Distressed Background rubber stamp and VersaMark.  I then heat embossed that with clear EP.  I inked the center with TH tea dye.  My cute little cacti are a fun cactus set of dies by Firefly that I found at Tuesday Morning and cut out from scraps.  The die cut sentiment is Cuttlebug Birthday Wishes.

Challenges...
Dies R Us #125 - birthday
Watercooler Wednesday WWC231 - all about occasions
Brown Sugar #291 - anything goes
Seize the Birthday #170 - anything goes link party

Now that I've got her card made, I need to go make sure her room is all ready! :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!

My DP is Crate Paper Bloom.  My image is From the Heart Stamps Free Hugs.  I'm loving this MFT Die-mensions Stitched Ric Rac die!  Prima flowers with a paper studio adhesive dot center finished it off.

Grad cap - TMS #512

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I've got a graduation card this week for you.  I know we're kind of past "grad season," but we homeschooled our children, and my son's celebration is not until next month.
My son... my youngest child... my last homeschool student!!!!!  July 1, I mailed his final packet of exams and reports to Abeka Academey.  That was a milestone... after 18 yrs of homeschooling, I am ALL DONE!!!!!   Maybe I should make myself a card, too! :D

My paper is K & Co Graduation.  I've had this paper forever but still have lots left... it's a 12x12 pad so it each card doesn't take much. ;)    The main panel is embossed with CB Swiss Dots.  My image is "Caps off to you" from Deedee's Digis.  It was pre-colored, but I colored the tassel to match the paper.  The banners are Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banners. All other cuts are Spellbinders Classic Squares and A2 Matting Basics.

Challenges...
Happy Little Stampers - July anything goes with dies
Crafty Friends #114 - use 2 or more patterned paper
Aud Sentiments #231 - bingo + sentiment  *I did down the middle - embossing, digi or stamp, stitching faux or real (my fishtails are stitched)

Here's our sketch...   this will be a keeper for me when I need a quick but awesome card!

Smile!

My second post of the day. :)  Scroll down for my Tuesday Morning Sketches post.

I've been playing around with heat embossing to make backgrounds.  Most of them end up in the trash, but I was happy with this one.

(Unfortunately, this looks kind of dull.  The color has a bit more teal tint to it.  I apologize for my poor photography skill! It really is very pretty IRL!)

My flower is Oops a Daisy! from Raisin Boat.  I cut my cardstock with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics, then I stamped the flower several times in Versamark.  I carefully put white embossing powder just on one flower and clear embossing powder on the rest then heat set.  The "smile" die cut is just the word from Technique Tuesday Layered Smile.

Challenges...
Make My Monday #99 - begins with B (my Blossoms and Background)
Simon Says Stamp Monday - make your own background
CAS(E) this Sketch #328 - case the sketch (this sketch inspired what I did to make my BG)

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

Just a note - TMS #510

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I've got a note for you! :)

My image is from MilkCoffee Digital Stamps and colored with my Spectrum Noir markers.  The sentiment is from TPC Studios.  The unbranded Scallop Stitch Rectangles are from Cheapo Dies.    My chipboard butterfly is Heidi Swapp.

Challenges...
Crafty Friends #113 - things beginning with B (butterfly)
Make My Monday #99 - begins with the letter B (butterfly)
Crafty Cardmakers #237 - dies or punches (stitched scalloped dies)

I also made another card with this sketch.  This is a lovey-dovey card for my hubby.

My sentiment is Sweet n Sassy Stamps.  I used the same Cross Stiched Rectangles as above.  The heart is CC Designs Big Hearts dies.  I embossed the Kraft panel with Cuttlebug Love Language EF.  I heat embossed the sentiment panel with Bo Bunny I Heart Stars clear stamp and clear embossing powder.  It's hard to see in the pic, but is really cool IRL.  Here's a closeup...

Here's our fun sketch for the week...

Good morning and Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian family and friends!!

Today is Sparkles Christmas Challenge #102 - include a tree.  Here's my card...

I was so happy with the way this card turned out!!  I can't take credit for the idea... I was inspired by this card and video by Gina K.   My plan is to make several more like this before Christmas.
My trees are from Raisin Boat Nature's Reflections.  The sentiment is from Sunny Studio Christmas Chapel.  My DP is Graphic 45 Christmas Carol and embossed with Darice Snowflake Swirl.

In case you live in a place without snow and don't believe in "trees white with snow" here is a picture taken in my yard after a snowstorm...  I love snow!!!!!
