Ready to throw some snowballs - SCC #103

The first of the month means it is time for Sparkles Christmas Challenge!  This month is #103 - It's Snowtime!  Let's see some snow!

For my card, I found a cute image already colored and waiting to be used.  This is Mimi Winter from Stamp Fairy. [This shop has been closed for several years, so this shows how many images I have waiting for attention!!]  She is colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  I got the dots on the scarf by using the tip of my blender.  Cute effect!  She's cut out with CottageCutz Double Stitched Ovals.  My DP is fancy pants winterland.  I fussy cut around the mittens.  The base panel is cut with Kat Scrappiness Wonky Stitched Rectangles. The ric rac is My Favorite Things Stitched Ric Rac. (Told you I was loving this die!)  I stamped the MME clear sentiment and cut it out with Simon Says Stamp Tiny Tags.

I hope you come play along with our challenge as I've played along with these challenges...
Cute N' Crafty Christmas #16 - anything Christmas/Winter goes
Crafty Gals Corner #196 - Christmas in July
Sweet Stampin' Christmas - July anything goes
My Time to Craft #402 - Christmas in July

Hubby's birthday card

I've got a bit of a lovey dovey card to show you.  The inside is much more mushy than the outside, but I'm not showing you that part! :)  I gave this to my husband for his birthday. He loved it.  As with every card I make him, he put it on the wall above his desk. ♥ Isn't that sweet? ♥

My image is Stamp Fairy "Patches Love 1" (sadly, Stamp Fairy has closed) colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  The sentiments are Inkadinkado, and the DP is MME Lost & Found Two "Rosy."

Challenges...
Sentimental Sundays #248 - anything goes
Sister Act #95 - anything goes
Seize the Birthday - birthday + the optional "topping" of masculine

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

Countdown to Christmas - TMS #227

How many days until Christmas now?  Only 22!!!    I love CHRISTmas time!!  I love the carols, the decorations, the special treats, but most of all, I love knowing that Jesus came to earth to be born in a manger, so He would one day die on the cross for me!!

Matthew 1:21 "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins."  Jesus is the reason for the season!!

Here is my card for this week's challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches!    For a very traditional "red/green for Christmas" kind of girl, I made a very non-traditional card!

My DP is Recollections "O Christmas Tree."  I colored the digi with my Spectrum Noir markers, cut it out with Spellbinders Circles and framed it with Spellbinders Lacy Circles.

Here is Melissa's wonderful sketch!!

Our sponsor for this week is Stamp Fairy!!  Why is my post titled "Countdown to Christmas"?  Because my image is the freebie that goes along with Barry Countdown to Christmas 1.  Stamp Fairy generously provided stamps for the DT, but I had this one already and when I saw the sketch, I knew it would be perfect for it!

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to go check out the creations from the rest of our DT...

Wow!  Tuesdays seem to come around so quickly!!  I guess that means I'm old since time seems to be flying by for me! :/

But I am glad when Tuesday comes because that means Tuesday Morning Sketches!!   This week our sponsor is Stamp Fairy.

Here's our awesome sketch by Melissa...

I turned the sketch on it's side for my card...

I just LOVE embossing!!  See last night's post to see how much I love it!! :)

I have to say that I was very excited with the end result!!  I'm watching videos to improve my coloring, and I think it might be helping because I was very happy with this image!!
~The paper is all scraps! :)  (I think I could create until 2053 with all the scraps I have!!)
~My image is Linda Spring 2 from Stamp Fairy.
~I used Cuttlebug Swiss Dots, Darice Lace border, and Darice Large Petal embossing folders.
~I didn't put any sentiment on the front so that I can use it for a note card, birthday card, or whatever I wish.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to go check out the creations from the rest of our DT...
