Anniversary card - BBTB2

This week at BBTB2, they inspired us with the flying bird on Florals Embellished.  I don't have that cart, but I liked this image from ACY.  Since I need to make several anniversary cards, this worked great for me.  (Sorry the pic is not totally in focus!)

~dsp from the Paper Studio Mirabelle stack
~shimmery white paper by Slice
~heart from Bazzill
~birds are from ACY, cut twice and just used the heart in red

Visions of sugarplums - Christmas card

I'm getting behind in my Christmas card making!!  For several weeks, I have missed the challenges at jingle belles.  This week the inspiration was a photo and the theme was visions of sugarplums.  I think I have mentioned that I am a traditional red, green, and gold Christmas person.  Sooooo... purple???
I tried it... purple, dangling, sparkling.   I really like how it  turned out.

What I used:
~premade 5x7 card, vellum, Bazzill lt purple, silver Slice paper
~vellum embossed with Swiss dots Cuttlebug folder
~ornaments from Christmas Noel cart cut at 2 1/2" and 3 1/4" with blackout
~MS branch punch
~hemp, brads, and stamp

A 'note' to cheer

Note cards are wonderful to have on hand and this one will be fun to use to encourage someone.  Literally, it is a note (actually it's two notes) to cheer.

For 2 challenges....
Stampin' Sisters in Christ ~~~ Prov. 10:20-21 - encouragement with a touch of silver
Whimsical Wednesday Take Shape ~~~ a shaped card

I had the eighth note in my shapes in MTC.  Shadowed it, copied the shadow, flipped it and welded for the card itself.  I cut the shadow once in the silver for the background and so that the front would be whole and not have a flat side on my note.  Cut the notes in black.  Printed the sentiment (it is actually on pink paper, but it doesn't look like it), tied with ribbon and put it on with pop dots.

"enjoy the ride" masculine birthday

I'd much rather make a girly card than a masculine one, but since there are men in the world, it is necessary.   This is for a man in his 20's.

The car and 'enjoy the ride' are from Graphically Speaking.  All others were cut with my trimmer.  The dsp is Basic Grey Recess.  The silver is paper for the Slice but my Cricut loves it!!

I'm posting this in 2 challenges:
Fantabulous Cricut (rectangle and triangle)
Cricut Cardz Challenge (masculine birthday)  **Just realized that though I have a car, I don't have wheels!

floral birthday - crayon resist technique

New techniques are always fun and this is no exception... crayon resist.  That was the challenge over at Tuesday Morning Sketches this week.  They have a couple of links to great tuts, so go check it out!

I am also submitting this to Whimsical Wednesdays'  back-to-basics challenge to go 'old school' - no Cricut.

This card is for a girl who likes petunias, so I found clipart, printed it, crayoned, oops, I mean colored,  and inked it.

cardstock, ribbon, brads, stamp all from my stash
Nestabilites for the shape

Happy Birthday - "we woof you"

I have not had much time for the craft room lately, but I got an 'order' for 11 cards yesterday.  I'd better get moving!!  Got 3 done last evening, so I'm off to a pretty good start.

This card is for some kids to give their sister.  The inside says, "we woof you"!   (If you are like my kids and don't get it, that means 'we love you')

Since I haven't done many challenges lately, I will submit this one to a couple...
BBTB2 -- sunglasses
Birthday Sundaes -- at least 3 circles, birthday wording

I used:
DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies paper
DT greeting at 2 1/2"
EDPD puppy at 3 1/2"
EDPD sunglasses (the paper is glittery but doesn't show in pic)
Bazzill circles at 2"
flower brads from J's

Happy Birthday Dad

Here's a male birthday card for 'dad'   I need to start on Father's Day cards soon, but this came together better for a birthday.  My kids could use it for my hubby... his birthday is not until Nov.  If I use it, my dad's birthday is in Dec, so I'm really ahead of the curve this year!! :D

For 2 challenges....
Mojo Monday ~ sketch
Cards for men ~ for someone special

I used:

~Me & My Big Ideas family stack paper
~Inkidinkadoo b'day stamps
~Shapelies for the label
~'dad' tag
~grosgrain ribbon and buttons from my stash

Thanks for looking!!!

"Berry" special birthday card

I finally got back to making cards and then Blogger was down for 2 days, so I couldn't post anything!  Seems we're back in business now! :D

This is for 2 challenges...
BBTB2 ~ strawberry
Birthday Sundaes ~ 2 dsp, 3 embellishments, birthday wording

As soon as I saw that BBTB2 was asking for strawberries, this birthday card idea popped into my head.  I looked and "Oh no!"  I have no berries on any of my carts!!
Soooo... I took the egg from DC and played with it in DS.  The stem is the bow from the package on DC, turned upside down and a little piece added.  (I forgot to weld the little piece)

I used:
~Doodlecharms for 'berry' (egg) and stem (ribbon upside down)
~Doodletype for 'happy birthday' shadowed
~DCWV summer stack paper
~Bazzill cardstock
~hand cut tag tied on with hemp, ribbon, and gel pen for doodling

Shoes, shoes, and more shoes!!

I am surrounded by 80 pairs of shoes!!!  Unfortunately, they are not size 6 1/2!  They are made of paper.   They are the favor holders for our church's Mother/Daughter Luncheon on Saturday.   They were fun to make except when I had to fight with my adhesive.  Grr!!

Here they all are with the candy treat...

I found the Marie Antoinette shoe HERE  (* I did a pixel trace into MTC and widened the upper so that I could fit the treat in it)

I found the mule pattern HERE

Making this many, I did not have time to really make them fancy, but I am pleased with the result.  (And I just found out that there may be more ladies so I need to make a few more!)
I used the Paper Studio Mirabelle paper and K & Co Classic K 2 sided.   They took a LOT of adhesive, too.  I used my ATG because the little runners did not hold well enough.

update... here are a couple of pics of these set on the tables
