Hubby's birthday card

I've got a bit of a lovey dovey card to show you.  The inside is much more mushy than the outside, but I'm not showing you that part! :)  I gave this to my husband for his birthday. He loved it.  As with every card I make him, he put it on the wall above his desk. ♥ Isn't that sweet? ♥

My image is Stamp Fairy "Patches Love 1" (sadly, Stamp Fairy has closed) colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  The sentiments are Inkadinkado, and the DP is MME Lost & Found Two "Rosy."

Challenges...

For my love - TMS #288

Happy Tuesday to you!!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!   I know that Valentine's Day is already over, but I've got a lovey card to show you.  I gave this to my sweet and wonderful husband!

My DP is Prima "Romance Novel" 6x6 pad.  The background panel is embossed with CB Teresa Collins "Timeless."  The gem flourish is K&Co.  The hearts were cut with MTC and stacked.  For the frame around the main panel, I used 2 Spellbinders Standard Circles at the same time.  The sentiment is also cut using Spellbinders Standard Circles and inked with TH "walnut stain" distress ink.  I love this sentiment!!  It is from Love Sentiments Digital Stamp from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

We're so happy to have Sweet 'n Sassy as our sponsor this week!!!

Our sketch is a gorgeous one from Melissa...  {remember that you can change the shapes, flip or turn the sketch... just make sure we can recognize it}

Sweet birthday wishes!

Gumball machines.  They are fascinating, aren't they?  I always hoped to get the red gumball!  My kids loved to get gum or candy from the machines as you exit the grocery store.  We actually had a home version for awhile.  Needless to say, it was almost always empty!!

All of that chatter about gumballs because I've got a gumball card to show you...

My image and sentiment are from "Old Fashioned Candy" -one of the new releases from Doodle Pantry.  February's "Ants In My Pants Challenge" has "candy" as the theme, so go check that out, too!

The DP is DCWV "the Birthday Wishes" 6x6 stack.  The image is cut using Spellbinders Petite Ovals and Labels 18.  My card is a simple Z-fold card with a cut hidden on the inside for greetings...

Let it snow!

Some of you may groan at that title, but if you've followed me for any time at all, you probably know that I LOVE SNOW!!!  I love to ski, skate, go sledding, and even make snow angels!  ;)   We had a big storm early in December then the temp got waaaaay too warm for December and it all melted.  The temperatures have plummeted, but sadly, the snow has been scarce.  But I'm still hoping for SNOW!!!!!

All that to explain why I chose this sentiment with this adorable little snowman...

My image and sentiment are from "Little Snowman" -  From the Heart Stamps.  It is colored using Spectrum Noir markers and cut out using Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A and Spellbinders Tile Works.  My DP is K&Co.  The snowflakes are Sweet 'n Sassy Small Snowflake Dies.  The hat and snow are colored with a sparkly gel pen.

Gift box - TMS #281

Happy Tuesday to you!!  While it's almost time for Christmas, it really is time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

This week we don't have a sketch for you.  :-O  Are you shocked?  I am!  LOL
This week is our Annual "Anything Goes" Challenge.  That means you can create anything you want to share with us!!  Also, this challenge will last for 2 weeks.  That's right, you'll have until Sunday, Jan 4, to create something wonderful to share with us!

I've made a gift box.  I'm going to put a picture of my  husband's present in it.  [Why a pic?  Because the actual item is not yet available.  :/ ]

This was really fun to make!  The instructions can be found in THIS POST at Crescent Stampin'.   I left off the handle, but made the box using the instructions there.  My base is Cutmates CS.  I used Neenah Desert Storm CS, Paper Studio Kraft Christmas DP.  The image is FTHS December Stamp of the Month image... Christmas Spirit Birdbrain.  So cute!
I wrapped the box with burlap, cut the image with Spellbinders, added a  Sweet n Sassy die cut snowflake, and a brad.
I loved last week's sketch so much that I used it as inspiration for my decorated panel...

On the lid, I added an EK Success punched snowflake, a large brad, and the sentiment.

Our very own Melissa is sponsoring this week with a gift card or shopping voucher.  To where is a surprise, but I guarantee that it will be something you'll love!!

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!!  It's my prayer that you know the Christ of CHRISTmas as you own personal Lord and Saviour!!

Happy October 1st!!!  Fall has really taken over around here!  We were gone 10 days to Arizona and sooo many trees turned while we were away.  They are beautiful and I love sweater weather!  Time is just moving by way too quickly!!!

Pardon the little whine!  Let's move on... today we have some new releases at Doodle Pantry for you!  Laurie has created some wonderful digis this month!  She also designed for Clearly Digital (Clear Dollar Stamps) which has sadly closed.   So those designs will be gradually added at Doodle Pantry.  The new releases and previous CDS releases can all be found under the October 2013 Release.  (Many of the former CDS releases have added digi papers!)

The set I used is Old Watch...  (I used the outline and my Spectrum Noir markers)  My DP is Prima "En Francais."  I used Spellbinders Circles and Petite Scalloped Circles, a MS border punch, Swiss Dots and Script embossing folders.

Christmas thank you

I had a moment of panic --actually more like several hours of panic-- this week.  I'm ashamed to admit that I am just now writing my Christmas "thank you"s to church folk. *red face*
I'd put it off tooooo long, so I got the thank you cards I had made, grabbed a nice pen, was all ready to write, and then could NOT find my list!!!  What if I forgot someone?????  Thankfully, I eventually did find the list but then realized I needed a couple more cards, so I made some including this one....

Supplies...
~MME Sweater Weather DP (I just LOVE this 6x6 pad!!!!!)
~PTI sentiment
~Spellbinders Ovals and Scalloped Ovals
~AC ribbon
~white gel pen
~buttons and hemp cord from my stash

Challenges...
The Sweet Stop: SS195 - sketch
Sentimental Sundays #139 - thank you

Simon Says Stamp Challenge - anything goes
Twisted Tuesday 2TC42 - "free for all" anything goes (my second entry here)
Merry Monday #47 - tic tac toe (I did across the bottom - designer paper, red and green, ribbon)
*not sure if this really qualifies for MM since it not technically a Christmas card though it is for Christmas :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Cocoa & Cookie - TMS #175

It's Tuesday and time for Tuesday Morning Sketch #175!   This week, we are sponsored by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.   They have really cute digi stamps, clear stamps, and dies!!  Play along this week and you could win!

Here's the sketch...

I would have made this card is a little differently had I been thinking correctly!  I was a little mixed-up and had "non-traditional" on the brain when I made it.    I actually like it, but this will probably not be a color combo I use often!
But it works for Sentimental Sundays challenge #131 - non-traditional Christmas colors :)

~Cookie Warms the Heart digi from Sweet n Sassy Stamps
~Spectrum Noir markers
~Recollections "O Christmas Tree" DP
~Spellbinders Circles and Scalloped Circles
~ribbon and adhesive pearls

With American Thanksgiving next week, many challenges have Thanksgiving or thank you card as the theme.  I made a thank you card.   I love Thanksgiving and am very thankful for the many blessings I have in my life, but I've just never sent Thanksgiving cards.  I do use a lot of thank you cards, though!

Wags 'n Whiskers #92 - Be Thankful
CASology #19 - Thanks (not sure if distress ink eliminates it from being CAS)

I used a variety of my stash... Basic Grey DP and Paper Studio adhesive pearls that I've had for a long time, PTI stamp I got as blog candy, Darice Ivy embossing folder I recently purchased with birthday money, and Spellbinders.  I use some of them for almost EVERY project!!
