Homespun Holidays - TMS #734

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This challenge will run for 2 weeks and we are collaborating with Double Trouble again!  We are joining them for Challenge #154 - "Keep Calm and Stitch On"   Their challenge runs from Mon, Nov 20 - Sun, Dec 3.  Ours starts today, Nov 21, and runs until Dec 3, too.

Let me show you my card, then I'll explain...

My paper is Recollections Christmas Plaids.  The background panel is red cardstock cut with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics and dry embossed with Darice Crackle.  My image and sentiment are from Peachy Keen Stamps (Nov 2013 release... 10 years old!!) and colored with Copics.   It's cut out with CottageCutz Double Stitched Ovals.  So I have stitching is on my image and my die.

Be sure to visit Double Trouble to see all the details of their challenge, too.

I'm going to enter my card in these challenges...

Sick of snow?

**Scroll down or click HERE for my TMS post**

Are you sick of snow?  I laughed all the way through making this card because I honestly do not think the words, "I'm so sick of snow" have EVER crossed my lips!!!   In fact, I'm excited that it supposed to snow overnight tonight... we're in the 10"-15" area!!  :)

I made this because I finally got to play with my new stamps!!!  I was very excited because I knew before Christmas that I was going to get a set of Peachy Keen Stamps as a gift, but you may remember that Christmas Day did not go as planned... I spent it in the hospital! :/   Since then, most of my cards have been made for DT commitments or because I needed them.   My new stamps have been sitting there calling me and I finally had took made the time to play with them!

Sooooooo... here it is!!

My image and sentiment are from PKSC-23 November Release.  I thought the snowman's grumpy face was perfect for that sentiment!!  My DP is fancy pants "winterland."

Summer fun!!

Am I the only one who feel like this summer is just flying by!!!  I hope you're getting in some summer fun!!  We would probably be at Six Flags today if my dryer wasn't broken. :(  So instead of riding roller coasters, I am waiting for the repair man to show.   But that's ok if it means I don't have to go the laundromat.  With 6 people in our family, we make piles and piles of laundry!!!   Will you feel sorry for me if I tell you that my vacuum is also in the shop?   No problem... if I can't clean, I might as well craft!! ;)

Back to summer fun... here's a birthday card I made for a boy who LOVES to swim!!!

It's a spinner card!

I kept the design simple so nothing would 'catch' while he was spinning.  I did stamp and emboss tiny dots to make it look like water drops...

Supplies...
~DCWV paper
~boy from accessories from Everyday Paper Dolls
~Peachy Keen Character Face Assortment
~TPC Studio sentiment
~baker's twine

Challenges...
Fantabulous Cricut #172 - "make a splash"
Cut It Up #24 - Celebrate summer + die cut
Peachy Keen 13-31 - anything goes (must use PK stamp)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!  I hope to be back with more creations later today.  I spent most of last week sewing  things that HAD to get done, so paper crafting was low(er) on my priority list.

Teddy bear Valentine

*My Tuesday Morning Sketches post is HERE*

I did something I have not done in quite awhile!  I used an image from a Cricut cartridge for the main focus of my card!  I use my Expression a lot for a variety of things, but most of the time I use MTC or just use a cart for a little heart, star, corner, etc.   I use digis for most of my projects, so my cartridges have begun to collect dust! :/  After Thanksgiving, I bought my first set of Peachy Keen stamps but had never used them!!  It was time!!  So I went searching for something or someone that needed a face and here is what I came up with... a Valentine for my son.

I meant to give him more of a real bear nose, but forgot!
I used just the shadow and base of the bear from CAC.  (Trimmed off the skirt since this is for a boy!)
I remembered to take a pic of the inside!!

Recipe...
