Happy forevering - C4G #254

 Time for a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Summertime often means wedding season, so I've been busy creating wedding cards.  "Wedding" (or wedding anniversary) is our theme this challenge, so here is one of the cards I made...

This was pretty simple to make, but it is still very pretty.  My image is Happy Forevering from Colorado Craft Co.  I colored it, added the sentiment, cut it out, and all done.

Challenges:

Word Art Wednesday #706-707 - AG family friendly
Heart's Quest Celebration of Love #7 - BEWAS (mine is wedding)
Addicted to Stamps and More #496 - Make your mark (I used Spectrum Noir markers)

Please come play along at Cardz 4 Galz!

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

Bridal shower - TMS #787

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This is the last sketch of 2024!  But sadly, it is also our very last sketch.  After 15 years of Tuesday Morning Sketches and approximately 700 or so sketches, Melissa has decided that it is time to sunset the challenge blog.  We will still have our Annual Anything Goes challenge next week but after that, we say goodbye to Tuesday Morning Sketches.  It was a tough decision for her to let this go, but times are changing, trends are changing, and challenge blogs just aren't what they used to be.  I've enjoyed so much being a part of this team since 2012!!

It's that time of year, but I've got a cute card that is NOT Christmas...

I dry embossed a white panel with Darice Ranunculus EF, then I inked the area over flowers and leaves. Added a piece of ribbon, and my sentiment which is a rubber stamp given to me by a friend... no brand on it.

Here's our sketch...  the very last sketch of 2024!  But is is also our very last sketch.  After 15 years of Tuesday Morning Sketches and approximately 700 or so sketches, Melissa has decided that it is time to sunset the challenge blog.  We will still have our Annual Anything Goes challenge next week but after that, we say goodbye to Tuesday Morning Sketches.  It was a tough decision to let this go, but times are changing, trends are changing, and challenge blogs just aren't what they used to be.  It's been a great ride!

Bridal shower congratulations - TMS #757

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  My card is a bridal shower card...

This was so simple to make, and I absolutely LOVE how it turned out!  My paper is DCWV Pastel Patterns.  I used Poppystamps Raining Frame and flipped the umbrella to the pattern on the other side.  I cut it again to get the handle from Kraft.  I added some small flowers from Sizzix TH Small Tattered Flowers with some greenery with MS Branch punch.  My die cut sentiment finished it off.

Here's the sketch...

Best wishes - C4G #223

 Hello!  Here we are with another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Our fun theme for this challenge is "Movie Madness."  I've got a bridal shower card featuring Belle from Disney's "Beauty and the Beast."  The recipient loooooves "Beauty and the Beast"!

Belle is Disney Belle Enchanted die.  My sentiment is Raisin Boat All the Write Words.  I think my paper is Prima Romance Novel. (?)  The flowers and ribbon are from my stash.

Together forever - TMS #713

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Here's my card for this week's challenge...

My paper is Prima Romance Novel.  My sentiment is a vellum sentiment from an old DCWV wedding pack.  I cut it out with CottageCutz Double Stitched Ovals.  I put my glue on the outer rim, but it left it looking wonky, so I colored the edge with a marker.  Honestly, it looks much better IRL even though it looks nasty in this pic. :/   The organza ribbon is from my stash.

This card was for my daughter-in-law-to-be's shower last night.  I realize it looks more like a wedding card than a shower card, but you gotta work with what you've got! LOL  I really need to find some products that work for showers!

Here's our sketch for the week...

Hitched - TMS #711

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I rarely say this because I rarely feel this, but I really love my card this week!!  It was so fun to make, and I think it turned out great!

I made a fun wedding card for a wedding I went to this past weekend.  I embossed a panel of the Paper Studio The Linen Door with Darice Cloudy Sky EF.  The car is Spellbinders Sunday Drive and all the embellishments on it are Sunday Drive - Hitched.  The cans were personalized to the bride and groom... Sprite and Diet Coke. :D

Here's our sketch...

Challenges:
Word Art Wednesday #599-600 - anything goes family friendly
Happy Little Stampers - June anything goes w/ dies

best wedding wishes - TMS #703

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I hope you enjoyed our challenge collaboration with Double Trouble!

Here's my card for this week's challenge...

This is pretty simple, but it turned out very pretty!  I dry embossed the top part of the panel, added the glittery strip on the border, adhered the die cut words, and added the additional sentiment.

Here's the sketch...

happy wedding day - TMS #695

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Here's my card for this week...

I cut a frame in red rather than a panel so the flowers would pop against the white.  My flowers are Peony Memories Cardmaking layered stamps.  I used Pink Fresh Studio Heartbeat inks.  My sentiment is Papertrey Ink Wedding Stamp Set.  I heat embossed the sentiment and cut it out with Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banners.

We're still playing with favorites from last year, and this is Raechelle's favorite, though I'm sorry to say that she is no longer a member of our team.  This was sketch #649 from 3/22.

Wedding day wishes - TMS #673

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This week I've got a wedding card to share.  I tend to struggle with wedding cards, but I am happy with how this one turned out.  Take a look...

This was just white cardstock.  I dry embossed the bottom half with the Paper Studio Script.  The flowers are The Ton Peony Memories Cardmaking.  "Best wishes" is from Sunny Studio Heartfelt Wishes.  "on your wedding day" is from Papertrey Ink Wedding Stamp Set.  The ribbon is from my stash, and I added some Liquid Pearls to finish it off.

Here's our sketch...  ((Which do you think I created first... my card or the sketch?))

Wedding day wishes - TMS #619

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches! I'm been making lots of sympathy cards lately, but this one is a happy card! :)

I needed a card for a wedding, and had made one that was very traditional.  Then I decided I wanted to make one a little less so, and this is it.

I embossed my background with Darice Crackle.  My flower is Technique Tuesday Cosmos.  My paper was from my scrap box, and the green twine was from my stash.  My sentiment is Papertrey Ink Wedding Mini Stamp Set and cut out with Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banners.

Here is our sketch...

Challenges...

Simon Says Stamp Monday - dry embossing

Happy Little Stampers August Dies - anything goes w/ a die

Aud Sentiments #281 - anything goes with a sentiment

It's time to celebrate! - TMS #500 and blog hop

Happy Tuesday to you!
It's time for
Today is our
500th sketch challenge!!!!

And we are celebrating!!!

We're so excited about this accomplishment that
we decided to have a blog hop.

Be sure to start (and end) with
 Tuesday Morning Sketches' blog.

I'm Debbie and I've been on the Tuesday Morning Sketches team for 7 years!!    I've loved being a part of this team!    It's been great to have the friendship and support of my wonderful design team members, I've been blessed to "get to know" so many of you talented crafters through our TMS connection, and I love the TMS set up - - a sketch with no seasonal or theme requirements attached that can be interpreted by each of us in our own style.  :)

Our sketch this week (see it below) is a little challenging at first glance, but really it's super easy and open to so much possibility with stamps, dies and borders.

Here's my card and it features a clear sentiment from Stampabilites that I've had forever!  I stamped it with Versafin Onyx Black and clear heat embossed it.  I cut it out with scalloped stitched rectangles from Cheapo Dies.  My decorative element is Spellbinders Roses and Thorns. I added Wink of Stella to the flowers so they shimmer IRL.

I also made a "casual" version using an image from Prettygrafikdesigns, Spectrum Noir markers, CottageCutz Stiched Rectangles, Impression Obsession Scribble Circles, and a Bo Bunny clear sentiment...

The prize I am offering is.... a set of 24 Spectrum Noir markers (Lights)

(If you win my prize and live outside the US, you will
receive a $10 gift certificate to Bugaboo Stamps)

**Be sure to comment here and link up your creation on the TMS blog to be considered for prizes.  Yes!  You could win BOTH here on my blog and the TMS blog.

Here's the sketch... (Seriously, do not let it scare you... the possibilities are endless!)

~ ~ ~

The next stop on the blog hop is...

Enjoy!

Floral congratulations - TMS #459

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!   Here's my card for this week...

This card could be used for many occasions, but I'm using it as a wedding card.   My image is from ......  The sentiment is from Raisin Boat .....  Even after spotlighting the image, it still felt bare.  I don't own any sequins (I thought I had purchased some awhile back but could not find them), so I used a round punch to make some.  The paper used is sparkly, so they are really pretty IRL!

Here's our awesome sketch...

My "baby" is 11 yrs old today!!   I cannot believe it!  My children are all growing up too quickly!!   Be thankful for your children even on the days when they make you want to list them on eBay!!   :-)

Time for another sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches #174...

Our sponsor this week is DRS Designs.  They were wonderful and allowed the DT to choose stamps to use for this challenge!!  Thank you so much!!

My husband is a pastor so I selected 2 stamps that I know will get much use... Calla Lily Sympathy Frame and  Counting the Years Greeting for weddings!!   I made 2 cards since I didn't think those 2 stamps would combine very well!

Here's my sympathy card...

My wedding or anniversary card...

Summer... the season of weddings!  Though I have not been to any this year and no one I know is getting married this summer, a card like this is handy to have on hand!   And now that I've made it, maybe I'll be invited to a wedding!  :)

Golden anniversary card

I've mentioned that I seem to only make sympathy cards when I need them, but I do the same with wedding cards.  When I saw the "Joyful" or "Celebratory" theme at SSIC this week, I decided to make a wedding card.  At least, I started out with that as my goal.   As the card was coming together with all the gold and sparkly paper and ribbon, I realized it would be great for a Golden (50th) anniversary.   And I will need one this summer, so I will save it for that.  50 years of marriage is certainly something to celebrate!!
(What???  A card done early????!!???? Who has taken over my body??!!??)

I am so blessed!  Two years ago, my parents celebrated their 50th anniversary.   At their Open House, among the friends and family that came, there were more than 10 couples there that had already celebrated 50 years!!  Growing up, I was surrounded by good examples and am so thankful!!
My hubby and I will be halfway there next year! :)

 Challenge...
Stampin' Sisters in Christ #134 - joyful; celebratory

~Martha Stewart and Slice papers
~Fiskars (I think) stamp
~punches, gold ink, ribbon, and button

pink wedding card

My niece is getting married this weekend and I just made her card today!!  How awful is that??!!??  but since I was so slow, I needed some inspiration, so I looked at my usual challenges to see what I should do. :)

This is a little different because wedding cards are not my forte.  And it was a busy day!  I made 4 cards -this one, 2 sympathy cards, and a thank you card- plus am getting ready to go to the wedding... flying to MN on Fri, and back on Sat.  Quick trip!  After posting this, I'm heading to bed... I will need to be up and out by 4 AM on Fri!!!

~Tuesday AM Sketches -sketch ('think pink' all month)
~Stampin' Sisters in Christ - sharing...2 of every element
         (I used 2 papers, 2 Cuttlebug folders, 2 ribbons, and 2 stamps)

Here's the inside...

~Basic Grey paper
~Inkadinkadoo stamps

Chip n Dale and a Wedding cake?????

Yep!  I made files for Chip n Dale and a wedding cake for my newest LO's.
You can relax, they are not on the same LO!!!

Our youngest 2 love each other to death... except when they don't!   If you are a parent, you understand that!!  LOL!  But they really are good buds and I liked this pic,
so was inspired by my DD's pants for the Chip n Dale and title.
They love the cat!  He loves them (sometimes), too!
I made the Chip n Dale file from a coloring page in MTC.  The font is Cheri.
Fancy Pants paper

~~~~~
At our church, my husband, who is the pastor, preaches a series once a year on the home.  Then we have a special service when all the couples can renew their vows.  He always makes a cake and punch for a fellowship time afterward.  He made the cake, taught us all to make the flowers, and decorated everything.
The cake was made in MTC from a coloring page online.  The flourishes are from Sentiments.
The font is LokiCola.  The tags are cut with my Nesties.
The bakcground paper is glittery swirls Slice Specialty paper.
I got 25 sheets for $2.99!!!!!  Found several deals at Ollie's in WV.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

What a ham!!!
The trench coat figure is from webdings.  The font is Waterfalls.
The magnifying glass was cut in MTC from clipart.

~~~~~~~~
A LO of several cute pics of our kitty playing.
The font is Loki Cola
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It snowed a LOT this winter!  I love it!!!  These 2 pgs are during and after 3 different storms.

Embossed Wedding Card

More challenges, more fun, and more cards!!  (Actually only one more, but 'more card' isn't very proper!)   The sketch at Stamping 411 this week is simple but beautiful, and a wedding card came to mind right away.  Fantabulous Cricut is asking for embossing this week, so I combined again for these challenges with this card.

What I used:
~Cricut pastel cardstock
~Colorbok Love/Amour patterned paper
~MS ribbon
~Cuttlebug 'formal circles' embossing folder around the rings and sentiment
~Fiskars 'best wishes' stamp
~MS gold stamp distressing and highlights

Thanks for stopping by!!
