Sparkling Merry Christmas - TMS #686

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Here's my card for this week... (and close ups to show the sparkle)

I used my Kat Scrappiness slim line dies to cut the panels.  The ornaments are Raisin Boat Holiday Hang Ups.   I was intending to heat emboss them in silver... but could not find my silver embossing powder. :/  So I used Kaleidoscope.  It is pretty IRL, but hard to photograph.

I cut an oval and dry embossed it with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots.  The sentiment is a combination of Pink and Main Merry Christmas and a Happy Christmas die.  It's cut out in a silver shimmery paper.

Here is our fun sketch...

You warm my heart - TMS #685

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  My card is Christmas-y, but I'll probably use it as a Christmas thank you rather than a greeting card.

All this took was some red and Kraft cardstock and some leftover strips of Christmas paper.  The red is embossed with Sizzix Sweater by Eileen Hull.  I just got this, and I LOVE it!!!  My image/sentiment is Technique Tuesday Hello Winter Sweater.  I heat embossed  it in white and added a touch of color with my Spectrum Noir markers.  The few scrap strips finished it off.

Here's the fun sketch...

Hello - C4G #186

Hello!  It's time for a challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Our theme is "use stencil(s)" and I LOVE the one I used!

A few weeks ago, I got an email from Altenew telling me that this Sweet Spring layered stencil was free!  I did have to pay shipping (which was almost as much as the cost of the stencil), but the stencil was free. ;) And I love it!! I used Pinkfresh Studio's Morning Sky inks. The sentiment is Die-versions Curly Hello.  I cut it multiple times is black, then cut it in an adhesive sheet and pressed a foil sheet on to it.  It's not as smooth as it would be if done on a foiling machine would be, but it's still pretty.  And I don't have a foiling machine.  (And I have been unsubscribing from most craft emails, so I will stop buying stuff, including "free" stuff! LOL)

Grab a stencil... any kind of stencil... and come play along at Cardz 4 Galz!

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

A bit of Dr. Seuss wisdom - TMS #684

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!

This card was a real challenge!  I had an idea and tried it.  That all ended up in the trash.  I remade it with this paper, the realized I had missed a key element, so ripped it all apart.  A few attempts and much frustration later, this is the result.  Not happy with it, but I ran out of time. :/

My DP is Paper Rose Everything Sweet.  My sentiment is a digi from 613 Ave Create. (Another one that has been waiting to be used forever!)
You can see below that I made this kind of a half fold.  I didn't add any sentiment inside so I can use this for whatever occasion I want at a later date.

Here's our sketch...

Happy Christmas - TMS #683

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Christmas is coming soon!!  I've got another card to share.  I am still making Christmas cards though whether they actually get sent or not is another thing! :P

My paper is the Paper Studio Pine St. Square.  I cut my Kraft strips, cut out the sentiment, and embossed them with CB Swiss Dots.  Then I cut the sentiment (a freebie) from white cardstock that I had given some shimmer with my Wink of Stella pen.  All of the snowflakes are shimmery though you can't see it in the pic.  My large snowflake is from Hobby Lobby, the medium size is a Martha Stewart punch, and the smallest is an EK Success punch.

Here's our fun sketch...  (As always, feel free to use any shape.)

Happy birthday - C4G #185

Hi!  It's time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!!  Our theme is "watercolour background or image or both."

I do not have watercolor paints, but I do have a small set of watercolor pencils, so I stamped multiple flowers from Raisin Boat Oops a Daisy and colored them with my pencils.  Then I "painted" them with a wet paint brush.   The sentiment is Momenta Happy Birthday Die.  I cut it out 3 times in black and one layer in an adhesive sheet.  I then pressed foil sheet on to the adhesive.  It's not as smooth as if it had been hot foiled, but it is pretty!  (And I don't have a hot foil machine yet.)

Festive things with wings - SCC #142

I can now say "Next month is Christmas!!"  :)

And it's time for a new sketch at Sparkles Christmas Challenge.  This month's theme is "Festive Things with Wings."

So here is my thing with wings...

My image is Sweet n Sassy Stamps Christmas Joy.  The paper is from my scrap pile and my random pile of papers.  The sentiment is from Raisin Boat Formal Phrases.  Simple and mail-friendly, but still pretty.

Time is flying, so come play along at Sparkles Christmas Challenge

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

Thank you - TMS #682

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I've got several cards to share this week.  I made the first one and realized it would look better if the panel was smaller, so I made this one...

and these...

Lastly, here's the first one that I wasn't happy with... (I'm sure you agree that the above cards with the smaller panel and wider frame around it look much better!)

My DPs are Pebbles Family Ties, Prima Believe, and Recollections Winter Frost.  I used up some pages that were "leftovers."  I always have a few pages that I do not really care for, but found that they are ok in strips.  Now I'll be able to clear out my patterned paper! LOL  The "thank you" is Heidi Swapp and "praying for you" is The Project Bin Defined.

Here's the sketch...  (I'm going to use this one again for sure.  It's perfect for those extra strips of paper, so I'm planning to use some Christmas paper "leftovers" and make some quick Christmas cards.)
