 Hi!  It is time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  For this challenge, we want to see "pink flowers" on your card.  

Life is hard, but God is good, and it is always good to hear that someone is praying for you, so I made this card for someone hurting.  

My verse and sentiment are more of my printed-and-waiting-to-be-used stash, so I'm not sure where they are from.  My flowers are The Ton Peony Memories Cardmaking layered set.

My paper is Crate Paper.    My flowers are The Ton Peony Memories Cardmaking. The sentiment is JustRite Sympathy Handwritten Sentiments.  I really like this particular sentiment because it can be for a sympathy card or for someone who received a difficult diagnosis or just an encouragement card.

 It's time for our challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Our theme is "pretty in pink" so show us your pinks! 

Here's my card... (though depending on your screen, my pinks may look more red)

My flowers are The Ton Peony Memories Cardmaking.  My paper is a couple of sheets from my scrap box.  My sentiment is Spellbinders Sentiments 8.  I swiped gold ink on it to make the debossed sentiment stand out more.  i added a few adhesive rain drops to finish it off.

 Another year has come and almost gone!  2023 was full of joy (my son got married to a wonderful young lady!) and a year full of sorrow (many suffering physically and many lost loved one), but I'm thankful for God's presence and peace through both.  

It's time for our challenge at Cardz 4 Galz.  Our theme is a DL or slimline card with flowers.  (A DL card means the width is half of the length/height. Mine is 3.5" wide and 7" tall.) 

My card is for the daughter of a dear friend who passed away recently.  

 The paper was in a box of paper that I had not opened since we moved in 2020.  I don't know who made it.  My sentiment is a rubber stamp from Stampendous called "Blessing."  It's cut out with CottageCutz Stitched Rectangles.   (I had to cut the top portion and move the die and finish it.  (That's a great way to get cuts for shapes/sizes you don't exactly have.)  The flowers are The Ton Peony Memories Cardmaking and stamped with Catherine Pooler inks.

Peony birthday - C4G #204

 It's time for our new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz.  Our theme is "P is for..." (Anything that starts with the letter "p.")

Here is my card with peonies on it...

I dry embossed a Kraft panel with Darice Honeycomb.  The peonies are The Ton Stamps Peony Cardmaking Memories.  The leaves and "happy" were in my box of extras.  The heat embossed "birthday" is Raisin Boat.  A few sequins finished it off.  My placement of the sequins is not the best, but the one I wanted higher was the last one I placed, and it fell off of my jewel tool on that spot, so I couldn't move it without leaving an ugly glue spot. LOL

Slimline birthday - C4G #200

Good morning!  It's time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Our theme is "slimline birthday" for these next 2 weeks.  I do like slimline cards, but I've made A2 for so long, that I find it challenging to lay out the card in a way that looks good.  This design is not original with me.  I saw something similar on Pinterest, but didn't pin it right away and couldn't find it again. :/   Anyway, here's my slimline birthday card...

I tried to hard to get a good pic of this, but none of them really showed it well, but here it is.  My DP is a 12 x 12 love pack from Crate Paper.  My flowers are The Ton Peony Memories Card Making.  The sentiment is half of "Happy Christmas" freebie die that's on a Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banner.  "Birthday" is TH Alphanumeric Stretch Upper dies.

I really have been lazy lately and letting the paper do the work. This is Prima Something Blue.   I guess I did the work on the flower, but it was awhile ago.  I found this one in my extra box. ;)  The flower is The Ton Peony Cardmaking Memories.  "Mother" is a die from Sweet n Sassy Stamps.  

I know that Mother's Day is very hard for some of you, so know that you're thought of and prayed for, and here's a virtual hug from me to you!

Praying for you - C4G #194

Happy Thursday to you!  It's time for a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Our theme for this challenge is "use vellum"!  Here's my card...

I had the panel embossed with Darice Dot BG sitting on my desk.  Shiplap Siding stencil from Honey Bee Stamps was also on my desk.  I am trying to organize, and my ink pads were also close by, so I put all 3 together to make the BG panel.  My flower is The Ton Peony Memories Cardmaking.  I colored some vellum green and cut out the Spellbinders Foliage leaves.  I heat embossed the sentiment from The Project Bin Defined on vellum.   I need to lay my card under something heavy for awhile because I had it all together and realized I needed to heat the sentiment some more and it warped the card a little. :/  But overall, it's very pretty, IMHO! ;)

I cut a frame in red rather than a panel so the flowers would pop against the white.  My flowers are Peony Memories Cardmaking layered stamps.  I used Pink Fresh Studio Heartbeat inks.  My sentiment is Papertrey Ink Wedding Stamp Set.  I heat embossed the sentiment and cut it out with Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banners. 

We're still playing with favorites from last year, and this is Raechelle's favorite, though I'm sorry to say that she is no longer a member of our team.  This was sketch #649 from 3/22.

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This week I've got a wedding card to share.  I tend to struggle with wedding cards, but I am happy with how this one turned out.  Take a look...

This was just white cardstock.  I dry embossed the bottom half with the Paper Studio Script.  The flowers are The Ton Peony Memories Cardmaking.  "Best wishes" is from Sunny Studio Heartfelt Wishes.  "on your wedding day" is from Papertrey Ink Wedding Stamp Set.  The ribbon is from my stash, and I added some Liquid Pearls to finish it off.

 Hi!  It's time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!!  Our theme is "check it out" so we want to see your checks or plaids.

My plaid was created with DRS Designs "Woven Plaid" rubber stamp and Pinkfresh Studio "Sunshine" ink.  I inked the edges with Hero Arts Navy.  My flowers are The Ton "Peony Memories" Cardmaking layered stamp and die set.  My sentiment is from Raisin Boat "Flourishing Thoughts" and cut out with Spellbinders Lacy Pennants.  I added a few adhesive dots to finish it off.  (Though I'm not as happy with them as I thought I'd be. Oh well, too late now!)

in deepest sympathy - TMS #643

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This week is Tammy's favorite from last year and our last revisit of 2021.  Next week, we'll be back with all new sketches!!

Here's my card...  (Sadly, I've needed several sympathy cards recently.)

I realized that I've used The Ton Peony Memories Cardmaking layered stamp set back to back weeks, but I did stamp several of these awhile ago and my crafting time has been limited, so I use what's handy. :)  (Plus I really LOVE this set!)

My DP is Crate Barrel Bloom, the small fishtail banner is Kat Scrappiness, the large banner is Cheapo Dies, my flowers are from The Ton, and my sentiment is DRS Designs Calla Lily Sympathy Frame.  I taped off most of the stamp, inked it up, removed the tape, and was able to stamp just this portion.

happy birthday wishes - TMS #601

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This week, I've got a mini slimline birthday card for you.  I know I just used this layering stamp set last week in my card, but I just LOVE these flowers and couldn't help myself!  (My other thought was to use snowflakes and make a Christmas card, but I went with birthday instead, so the flowers won.)

**This week, we have a prize.  You could win 6 assorted colored mini slimline envelopes from Taylored Expressions.

Just a note to say hello

Lately, all my cards have been made for my Design Teams, because I needed a specific card, or because someone requested a specific card made.  This evening, I was happy to have the time and energy to just play! :) 

I recently received some extra money and splurged on a stamp and die set that I have been wishing for ever since I first saw it.  Here's the card I made with it...

When I first saw layering stamps a few years ago, I thought they were so neat!  I did get a couple of sets of layered flowers... and was so frustrated and disappointed in most of my attempts.   It's tough to get them perfect!!!   I saw a card maker on YouTube use a grouped layering stamp and die set.  Wow!!  I wanted these!  Like I said, I splurged and got Peony Memories Cardmaking stamps set and matching dies from the Ton.  Love them already!!  

I embossed a white panel with the Paper Studio Script EF.  I stamped the flowers with Catherine Pooler Fiesta Blue, All that Jazz, and Suede Shoes.  My sentiment is from this set, too (it has a bunch!!), stamped with VersaFine Black Onyx, and cut out with a fishtail banner from Spellbinders Lacey Pennants.  

I'm submitting this card to these challenges...

As you Like It - do you prefer rubber, clear or digi and why -- I prefer clear stamps because I love the clean, clear way they stamp. And they take up less space, so there's room for more! ;)
