Handy father's day -- TMS #352

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

It's not a "requirement" for fatherhood that a man be handy with tools, but both my father and my husband are very handy with tools, so this "little handyman" is a great image for me to use on a Father's Day card...

My DP is all scraps.  The banner is DCWV corrugated DP.  My image is Handy Harry from Digital Delights and is colored with Spectrum Noir markers then fussy cut.  (He's a little dark... I printed the color image in black and white by mistake and just colored him rather than printing again.)  The square behind him is cut out with Spellbinders Celebra'tions Squares.  My sentiment is a Recollections rubber stamp.

Here's our sketch for this week...

We've got a new sponsor this week -- Crafty Sentiments!!   We're so happy to have them sponsoring!!  The prize is 3 digital stamps of the winner's choice. :)

B'day easel card - TMS #340

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  Last year, I kind of challenged myself to do something other than a basic card for at least one challenge a month.  I've missed a couple of months, but sort of did it this time.  I made an easel card.  (They are really easy and fun, so I don't know why I don't make them more often!)

(I'm thinking I should have folded the front more toward the middle so it would stand up straighter.)

Here's the front view...

And close-up of the main panel (sketch)...

I guess that this doesn't technically have to be a birthday card, but that's what I had in mind while making it.  My DP is Studio Calico Story Time.  The image is Digital Delights Flower Power Basket of Daisies. (I made mine into Black-eyed Susans!) It's colored with my Spectrum Noir markers, and cut out with Spellbinders Labels One and Scalloped Labels One.  The sentiments are Inkadinkado and My Pink Stamper.

Our sponsor this week is Digital Delights by Louby Loo, so play along for your chance to win a $5 voucher to the store!!

Here's our great sketch for the week by Jessi...

***Remember this is the last week for you to apply for the Design Team.  If you haven't yet, just make cards using ALL the sketches from February.  You can put them all in one post and be sure to add "DT" by your name when adding your link to the challenge.***

My image is "Handy Harry" from Digital Delights by Louby Loo... our great sponsor for the week!

My DP is Crate Paper "Farmhouse."  My image is cut with Spellbinders Classic Ovals and framed with Spellbinders Labels Eighteen.  The edges are inked with TH "faded jeans."  The sentiment is My Pink Stamper "Family & Friends."

My image is from Digital Delights.  This little cutie is Candy Wreath Natasha.
My DP is K&Co "Mod Holiday."  I used adhesive bling instead of the stitched element... my sewing machine is a Husqvarna embroidery machine so I don't sew paper on it.

TMS #274-Judged Challenge

Today is Remembrance Day (if you're in Canada or Britain)
or Veterans Day (if you're in the US).

Take a moment to remember those who have served and those who have given all.  If you see a serviceman/woman and have the opportunity, say "thank you" to them.  While at an airport last week, we saw a young man in a wheelchair.  As he turned, we saw he had no legs.  My husband went up to the man and his wife, asked if he had served, and thanked them for their service.  The man was appreciative, and then the wife said, "I didn't do anything." Oh yes, she did!  She waited for her soldier and is by his side now as life will never be the same again.  If any of my readers are serving or have served.  I want to say thank you!!!

This week is our JUDGED CHALLENGE with a TWIST!!
We choose the winner this week and also pick a Top 5!!
Our TWIST is "Pumpkins & Leaves" (I went with leaves)

Here's my card...

Here's our wonderful sketch by Nina...  Can't wait to see what you do with it!

Our sponsor this week is Digital Delights by Louby Loo!  Play along for a chance to win!

My image is Acorn Mouse.  I colored him with my Spectrum Noir markers. The sentiment was printed and sitting on my desk and I can't remember where it's from.  My DP was also sitting on the shelf after being torn out of a stack, so I can't remember where it came from either!  My leaves -for the challenge of "Pumpkins & Leaves"- are the brads that I bought these brads the first scrapbook I ever made back in 2005.   I am really using my "stash" this week!!

A little trumpet player! -TMS #265

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  We've got a great sponsor and 3 sketches to choose from!  Yep!  THREE!  So let's get on with it!

My card is for my son who is learning to play the trumpet.  A couple of years ago, he heard "Bugler's Holiday" at the Christmas concert played by the community band in which our oldest daughter plays.  Her teacher (whose proficiency is trumpet) had a solo part in the song that was amazing!!  After hearing it, he turned to me and said, "I want to play the trumpet!"  So we are making it happen!

My DP is DCWV "All About Boys."  The sentiment is Inkadinkado.  Brads are OLD ones that I can't remember where they came from.  My image is Tommy Trumpeter (colored) from Digital Delights by Louby Loo who is sponsoring us this week.  Play along for your chance to win some adorable images!!

And this week is fun because you can choose any one of these three sketches for your card!!   If you're feeling really creative, feel free to use more than one of them!  I used the lower right sketch but made it vertical.

Can't wait to see what you create with one (or more) of these wonderful sketches!!

Challenges...
Use Your Stuff #151 - brads
Crafting From the Heart #34 - anything goes

Congrats Graduate -TMS #255

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!   I've showed you a few grad cards I've made, but this one is special... it's for my daughter!  We home school and are planning her graduation and party for next month, but she is ALL DONE!!  Both of us are excited!!

Since we home school, we don't technically have school colors but she loves mint so that's what I chose to use!  She especially loves mint Chevron!  I didn't only make a card, but I made a little gable box that matches, too.   (These pics make them look a bit more blue than they really are.)

Our sketch is a great one by Melissa...

The grad image is Flower Power Daisy Graduates, the sentiment is Congrats Graduate Sentiment, and the box is Gable Box SVG Cut File all from Digital Delights.  The Chevron is digital paper from Lilly Ashley's Etsy shop.  The number DP is Recollections "Charming."  The image and sentiment were cut with Spellbinders Petite Ovals.  Regular burlap and brads finished it off.

We're taking off on vacation today so my blog visiting will be very limited for the next 2 weeks, but I'll be back and checking you out after that!

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to go check out the creations from the rest of our DT...
