Paper hug - C4G #202

Happy Thursday to you!  It's time for Cardz 4 Galz!  Our theme for this challenge is "more than one fold."  There are so many different folds you can try, so this will be fun to see what everyone creates!

Here's my card...

This was pretty easy to make and makes a fun fold.  I was inspired by >this card<.   My paper is Prima Romance Novel.  My heat embossed sentiment is from Poppystamps Marzipan Greetings.   The inside sentiment is a long-ago-printed digi.  I used Kat Scrappiness Wonky Wavy Stitched Rectangles and CottageCutz Double Stitched Ovals.  The little roses were fussy cut from the same paper pack.

Together forever - TMS #713

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Here's my card for this week's challenge...

My paper is Prima Romance Novel.  My sentiment is a vellum sentiment from an old DCWV wedding pack.  I cut it out with CottageCutz Double Stitched Ovals.  I put my glue on the outer rim, but it left it looking wonky, so I colored the edge with a marker.  Honestly, it looks much better IRL even though it looks nasty in this pic. :/   The organza ribbon is from my stash.  

This card was for my daughter-in-law-to-be's shower last night.  I realize it looks more like a wedding card than a shower card, but you gotta work with what you've got! LOL  I really need to find some products that work for showers!

Blessings on Father's Day - TMS #712

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This week I'm sharing the Father's Day card that I sent to my father...

My DP is Pebbles Warm & Cozy.  The image and sentiment are Our Daily Bread Father's Day.  I heat embossed both of them and inked the moose with TH Stormy Sky and Peeled Paint. Easy peasey!

Happy Birthday - C4G #201

 Happy Thursday to you!   It's time for a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Our theme is "dies and/or punches."  My dies did all the work for me on my card...

My flower is Hero Arts Mum Stem stamp and die set.  I colored it with Spectrum Noir markers.   The sentiment is Poppystamps Marzipan Greetings stamp and die set.  I ink blended a few distress inks.  (It's not quite as dark IRL.)  My BG was in my extra pile.  I'm not sure what I did to it because several weeks ago, I spent some time trying to create some backgrounds.  I was not really happy with most of them and most ended up in the trash.  But I kept this one though I do not remember how I created it.  I think I may have just used a small paint brush and shaken some alcohol ink refill onto the cardstock.  Who knows!?!

Hitched - TMS #711

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I rarely say this because I rarely feel this, but I really love my card this week!!  It was so fun to make, and I think it turned out great!  

I made a fun wedding card for a wedding I went to this past weekend.  I embossed a panel of the Paper Studio The Linen Door with Darice Cloudy Sky EF.  The car is Spellbinders Sunday Drive and all the embellishments on it are Sunday Drive - Hitched.  The cans were personalized to the bride and groom... Sprite and Diet Coke. :D

Slimline birthday - C4G #200

Good morning!  It's time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Our theme is "slimline birthday" for these next 2 weeks.  I do like slimline cards, but I've made A2 for so long, that I find it challenging to lay out the card in a way that looks good.  This design is not original with me.  I saw something similar on Pinterest, but didn't pin it right away and couldn't find it again. :/   Anyway, here's my slimline birthday card...

I tried to hard to get a good pic of this, but none of them really showed it well, but here it is.  My DP is a 12 x 12 love pack from Crate Paper.  My flowers are The Ton Peony Memories Card Making.  The sentiment is half of "Happy Christmas" freebie die that's on a Kat Scrapiness Stitched Fishtail Banner.  "Birthday" is TH Alphanumeric Stretch Upper dies.

Snow globe Christmas - SCC #149

Happy June 1st!  Another month, and another challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenges!  Our theme this month is "trees."  Here are my trees...

I cut my BG panel from Recollections Christmas Plaids DP.  I stamped the trees from Raisin Boat Nature's Reflection in Hero Arts Lime to Forever Green Ombre ink.  I used my Versamark pen and white EP to create snow.  I forgot to use my anti-static powder, but I kind of like the extra snow. LOL  It was cut out with Darice Snow Globe die.  I cut a few leaves with MS branch punch.  My sentiment is from Sunny Studio Christmas Chapel and cut out with SSS Tiny Tags die.  A twine bow finished it off.  

The colors didn't photograph very well, but it is very pretty IRL.
