Love & Appreciation - TMS #679

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Here's what I created this week...

This card (with a gift card enclosed) was made for our new pastor and family.  The church is another colored digi from Doodle Pantry that I've had printed for a long time. The main panel is embossed with Lifestyle Crafts Whimsy and the edges were inked with Hero Arts Soft Granite.  I inked the edge of the image oval, too, to tone down the start whiteness.  The sentiment is from McMahon Five Designs.  It was heat embossed and cut out with Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banners. 

Here's our sketch...  I love this!  It's so versatile!

My image/sentiment was from McMahon Five Design and cut out with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics.  My DP is Pebbles "Garden Party."  The banner is cut using Sizzix Banners #2 and embossed with CB Swiss Dots.

For the bride and groom - M5D new release

The season of graduations and weddings is upon us!  I've made a couple of grad cards, but today I have a wedding card for you.  This is made with one of the wonderful new releases available at McMahon Five Designs. 

My DP is all digi paper from Bella's Beauties "Romance Set 1 Papers."  The sentiment is from Imagine That! digis by Kris "Wedding Day."

Again, this is a card that looks much better in real life.  The pearl flourishes are almost invisible in the pic, but they are really pretty IRL.   I used Spellbinders Labels Five to cut the sentiment.  I made a double bow with the black ribbon.  Here is a link to the tutorial if you are interested...  double bow tutorial.  I bookmarked this quite awhile ago and refer to it whenever I forget this quick and easy method! :)

"Vintage" Flashback at M5D

Today at McMahon Five Design, it's "Flashback" week, so we are showcasing some previous wonderful releases!!

I love this gorgeous image!!   This is The Wishing Well Vintage Digital from McMahon Five Designs.  I colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers, layered it, and framed part of it.   My DP is Pink Paislee "London Market.'  I inked all my edges with TH walnut stain.  A crinkly bow and a few adhesive pearls finished it off.

What girls like!! -M5D New Release

It is Friday and time for some new releases at McMahon Five Designs!!

It will soon be graduation time again, so I'm trying to get a head start on cards that I will need.  This is certainly not your "normal" grad card, but I like it.  The gift to go with it will probably be a gift card to the mall... so they can fill those bags! :)

My sets are by Daydream Designs.  The bags are from the new set "What Girls Like Accessories - Outline."  I printed them on Daydream Designs Beachscapes digi papers and cut them out.

This set is also available in color.
 

A coordinating set called "What Girls Like" is available in both outline and color.

Flashback Friday at M5D!

Happy Friday to you!!   Today we are having a flashback at McMahon Five Designs!  The DT has chosen some previously released images and created some wonderful projects!

Tuesday was Earth Day.  My save-the-earth motto is this one... "Save the earth! It's the only planet with chocolate!"  :)   But in all seriousness, I do believe we have a responsibility to take care of the earth God gave us and all that is in it.  Genesis 2:15 "And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it."   Proverbs 12:10 "A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast..."

My card was made using a couple of fun and very versatile sets from Daydream Designs. 

My colored image and sentiment are from Hug A Tree.  My DP is from Our Good Earth Digital Papers.

Spring flowers -- M5D New Release!!

Happy Friday!!  Today we have some new releases for you at McMahon Five Designs! I've got some spring flowers!  On Sunday, I came home from church and a few of my crocuses were blooming!!  Finally a sign of spring!  Then we got snow on Wednesday!  Haha!  (But you know me... I love snow any time! :) )

I used the colored image and sentiment from Imagine That! digis by Kris set "Bloom Where You Are Planted."  Very cute set!!!   My DP is AC "Lucky Charm" embossed with Cuttlebug "Love Language" EF.  The image and sentiment panels are cut with Spellbinders Labels Fifteen.

Friday Release at M5D

Happy Friday to you!!  Today at McMahon Five Designs, we have some new releases as well as some flashback projects to show you!

Mine is a new release from Imagine That! digis by Kris...  I used Airplanes and Take Flight Papers.

The pilot's head and scarf are sticking out of the plane.  :)  I had printed 2 and was fussy cutting the whole image to pop up when I realized my printer had put a line through the plane that was very visible.  Grrr!  So then I just cut his head off.

Flashback Friday at M5D!!

Happy Friday!!  I was about to say that after a busy week, I'm glad for the weekend, but since my husband is a pastor, my weekends are just as busy (if not more) as our weeks!! :)

Today, is Flashback Friday at McMahon Five Designs so we are highlighting some previously released images.  Mine is a fun one!!

My image is "Mighty Hunter" a colored image from Draw Me A Daydream.   My DP is Colorbok "Nature Lover."  The border punch is MS.  I hand cut my circles because that size of my Spellbinders set has mysteriously vanished! :(

I used Daffodil + Sentimental Thoughts from Imagine That! digis by Kris.   My DP frame is Prima "Madeline."

My image and frame were cut with Spellbinders Labels 8.  I printed the daffodils twice and fussy cut just the flower and popped it up for some extra dimension.  These bows have been in my stash since I started scrapping in 2005!!!

My "get well" type card features Sunshine and Rain Color Set from Daydream Designs...

My DP is We R Memory Keepers 6x6 Journal Cards.  The panel is cut out with Spellbinders Labels 8 and embossed with CB Swiss Dots EF.  I fussy cut the image and popped it up with dimensionals.  Added a bit of ribbon and it was all done.

M5D Breast Cancer Awareness Freebie!

Happy Hump Day!  (I haven't heard that so much recently... is it still cool to say that??)

This is Birds of Hope.  (Click on the name to go get this freebie!) My DP is MME Indie Chic "Saffron" embossed with CB "With Gratitude" EF,  The image is colored with my Spectrum Noir markers and cut out using Spellbinders Petite Ovals and Petite Scalloped Ovals.  Everything was inked with TH "tea dye" distress ink.  My ribbon is Kraft Outlet Oatmeal Cream bias tape.

My image and sentiment are from Polar Love a collection from Imagine That! digis by Kris.  It comes with the outline and colored images and 3 sentiment.   My DP is fancy pants "love story."  I used Spellbinders Large and Small Labels, a scrap of ribbon, and Glossy Accents and a sparkly gel pen on the hearts.

Friendly Flashback Friday at M5D!!

Wow!  Has this been a crazy week of weather, or what??  Snow even in Florida!  (It's not fair... it never snowed in Florida when I was there!!)

Today, we are flashing back to some previous releases at McMahon Five Designs.

For this card, I used Bella & Skipper Outline. 

I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers and cut it out with Spellbinders Labels 15.  My DP is actually from a We R Memory Keepers 6x6 journal pack.   It is all inked with TH "peeled paint." The flowers are Prima and I added tiny adhesive pearls to the center.

It's Friday!!  Yay!!!  Today is the end of the second quarter which means we are halfway through our home schooling year!  My kids are happy!  I am, too, but this means I get to spend my weekend grading exams and getting their reports ready. :/

Flashback Friday at M5D and a SALE!!

Happy Friday to you!!  We've got some previously released sets we are revisiting at McMahon Five Designs!  Many of them are on sale... including the set I used! :) 

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching but this kind of card can (and should) be sent ALL year long!

My BG digi paper, the image, and sentiment all came from Simply Love from McMahon Five Designs.  I printed the image twice, cut the ribbon, and popped it up.  A bit of burlap ribbon, a scrap of brown ribbon, and a few rain dots finished it off.

Happy Friday with a New Release at M5D!!

Happy Friday to you!!  I hope you were able to stay warm this week!!   The only good thing about cold weather is snow! :)  How weird is this???  I LOVE snow, but I do not like to be cold! LOL

Today, we have some new releases for you at McMahon Five Designs!  Sue gave the DT a nice long break over the holidays, but we are back and ready to go with these wonderful designs!

I've got 2 projects for you today.  The first is a card that could be a Valentine card or just a card to show love...

My BG paper is Prima "Believe" that I embossed with Cuttlebug "Love Language" EF.  I used Spellbinders Postage Stamp and Doodle Parts.  The fence is a Fiskars border punch.  ($4.99 at Tuesday Morning!!)  My image is from Snowbaby Love Color.  I flipped the direction of it and added a bunch of hearts.  The sentiment is from Snowbaby Love Sentiments.  Both are Daydream Designs digis.  (I promise the sentiment is actually readable in real life!)  Here are the sets...

My second project is from Snowbaby Love Sentiments.  I used the JPG of 1 Cor 13, pixel traced it in Make-the-Cut, cut it in vinyl, and placed it on a 9x12 ceramic tile.  This was so fun to do!!  I love making tiles with vinyl!!!

Aren't these ginger bread cute???  And, like I said, they are fun!!  I added them with an Action Wobble!

These cuties are from Gingerbread Scene from Imagine That! digis by Kris. 

I used the outline images and colored them with  my Spectrum Noir markers, but as you see, they come colored, too!   My DP is Recollections "O Christmas Tree."  I used Darice Dots and Sizzix Snowflakes embossing folders, Spellbinders Labels Eight, and a scrap of polka dot ribbon.

jingle belles JB:13:23 - holiday traditions (We made gingerbread cookies when I was a kid.  Our decorating wasn't fancy... we just used those little silver balls.  You know, the kind that were supposed to be edible, but were as hard as ball bearings and nearly broke our teeth!!!)
