Sympathy cards. I do not ever
want to have to make them and really dislike making them, but on the other hand, I do enjoy it. Only because I want them to be a blessing for the recipient. I want them to know I care and am thinking of them and praying for them, so I often put more care into a sympathy card than another kind of card, but I've had to make too many recently! The card I'm sharing today is one that a lot of love and effort went into. It was made for a college friend who lost her husband after a great physical battle resulting from a stroke. Too young! Too soon! But God had a plan, and their whole family was such a sweet testimony of God's strength and grace through it all. Often in her updates on his condition, she often shared a song and what it had meant to her that day.
When I saw Sweet n Sassy Stamps' Hymn Blocks set, and I knew I wanted to get it and would use it often, so I ordered it. When I needed to make her family a card, I knew I needed to use that set. It has phrases from 6 songs, but I used "It Is Well."
I made it into an easel card...
