Happy Thanksgiving!!

I know it's not Thanksgiving yet, and today, it is actually Happy Birthday to me, but I don't  make myself cards, so I have a Thanksgiving card to show you. :)  "How old are you?" you ask... I'm 29... for the 18th time!!  ;)

My next several posts are scheduled in case we are without power this week as expected.  We are inland and won't have the difficulties those of you along the coast, but are in a valley so we may have some flooding and power outages.  So if I'm not heard from for awhile, that is why.  Stay safe all you on the East coast and in the Northeast!!

Here is my Thanksgiving card made with an image from Daydream Designs.   This pre-colored digi is from the Blessings of the Harvest Color Set

I combined the image and sentiment before printing, embossed and cut a 'top' layer, added a ribbon, button, and some pearls and here we are...

Thanks for stopping by and even though it is not Thanksgiving yet, be thankful for your blessings today!!

My thoughts and prayers are with those of you who are in the fight with this horrible disease and for those of you who are standing along side a loved one of friend who is fighting!!

Masculine note card

Masculine cards are not the easiest for me, but my husband is a pastor and I asked him awhile back if he'd like me to make some note cards for him.  Of course, he said yes, but I've been a little slow getting them done.  This is a start, at least!!!  I think I need to make them a little more postal friendly than this one, though.

My inspiration for this card came from Diane.  (Click on her name to see her card)  I liked her pairing of the Bible with this verse, so I copied!  Thanks, Diane!! :)

Stampin' Sisters in Christ #162 - peace (the greatest source of peace...God's Word)

Autism awareness card

October is breast cancer awareness month and that is wonderful!!  Keep thinking pink!!!
But it seems that when we become aware of one need, we become aware of others, as well.   I have a friend that has 4 autistic children.  She is such a blessing in the way she deals with these children and looks to the Lord for her strength!!

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #57 and the image is one of Diane's from Daydream Designs.   It is the Hope Endures Digi Set Autism.  It is pre-colored.  (She has several other awareness sets, too!)

I combined a couple of the digis, embossed my cardstock, and tied a ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!!

CAS thank you

I've had a global afternoon!  I am in NY, I'm eating Thornton's mint toffee from England (I wish I'd filled a suitcase or 2 with this stuff!!!), I made this card for a friend in England to thank her for the gift of a doily that was made in Romania!   Not that you needed to know all that to see my card, but I'm feeling chatty today. :)

Here is my CAS card (so that it is easy to mail and won't be destroyed on the way) to thank her...
