Vintage Christmas - TMS #382

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!   I'm still in need of several Christmas cards, so here's another one...

For this card, my paper did most of my work.  It is First Editions "A Christmas Story."  I love the vintage feel to so much of this pad!!  I inked each piece with TH walnut stain distress ink.   My branches are a MS punch.  "Merry" is a Pink and Main die.  "Christmas" is a Momenta clear stamp that I masked so I could just use that word.

Here's our awesome sketch for the week...

Our sponsor is Jennifer Tomasic... a Close to My Heart consultant.

Challenges...
Holly Jolly Christmas #86 - Christmas card or anything but a card (I made a card)
Christmas Cards All Year Round Dec - anything Christmas/holiday
The Merry Christmas Challenge #11 - Christmas trees

I know everyone is busy this time of year, so I won't bore you with chit chat, and I'll just say thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to go check out the creations from the TMS DT...

Joy to the World

I've been making Christmas cards all year long, but still need to get moving and make more.  I have high aspirations... I'd like to be able to send a handmade card to everyone on my list this year.  We'll see!  I'm trying to make most of them flat(ish) so they're good for mailing...  this one might need to be hand delivered. ;)

I used a Hampton Arts rubber stamp, and embossed it with gold embossing powder.  It's cut out with CottageCutz Stitched Rectangles.  My paper is Dovecraft Winter Blooms.  It's a Prima flower, Recollections doily, and the brad, ribbon, and hemp twine are from my stash.
A closer look at the embossing...

Challenges...
Word Art Wednesday #254-255 - anything goes/family friendly
A Snowflake Promise #32 - seasons - it's the Christmas season! ;)
ABC Christmas - v for vertical
Holly Jolly #84 - trees or Christmas tree

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

Merriest wishes - CCC #29

Happy Father's Day!  {That is if any fathers happen to ever read my blog!}

It's time for another Christmas card for the challenge at Christmas Card Challenges!  This week, we've got a color challenge for you!   That's why this card is a little different from my "usual" cards.  I tend to be very traditional red/green for Christmas, but it's fun to mix it up a little now and then...

My cardstock and polka dot DP are from my scraps.  I used a MS border punch on the DP and the striped vellum.  The wavy bit and the large image are stickers from a Paper Studio pack.  The clear sentiment is Momenta.  It is cut out with a Tiny Tags die from Simon Says Stamp.

Here's our color inspiration for you...

*But remember the only rule is that you need to make a Christmas/holiday card*  These are definitely not your traditional Christmas colors, but they are beautiful and we can't wait to see what you do with them!!

Challenges...
ABC Christmas Challenge - L is for... Layers, Light pink ;)
Holly Jolly Christmas #74 - tag it (the top is tucked behind the image, but my sentiment is on a tag)
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas #286 - cute or anything Christmas

Thanks for stopping and have a blessed day!!

Christmas in the heart - TMS #349

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  I've got a Christmas card this week...

My card is actually the second one I created for this week's challenge.  The first one was great in my mind, but in reality... it FAILED!  So it got torn apart.  Maybe it didn't work because all I could think about was the fact that I had just finished off my bag of Chicken Bone Bites. :(  My parents brought them to me and I tried to make them last as long as possible, but now they are all gone.  If you haven't been to the Maritimes, you may not even know what I'm talking about.  They are a cinnamon candy filled with chocolate!!!!!  Sooooooo good!!  Ganong is the original and the best!  See?

That had nothing to do with my card, but I really am sad they're gone and just wanted to whine a little.  Now back to reality...

The DP all had silver through it... it's very pretty IRL!!

This week our very own Melissa is sponsoring with another embellishment pouch from Freckled Fawn, so you want to play along for your chance to win that!!

Here's our fun sketch from Jessi...  if you stop by the TMS blog, you will see how each DT member had great fun in a different way with this sketch!

Oldie-but-goodie Christmas card

***Scroll down or click HERE for my Tuesday Morning Sketches post***

I've got a cute Christmas card to show you.  I have mentioned that I have too much waaay too much lots a few things in my stash that I'm trying to use up.  I really "shopped my stash" with this card!!  The Recollections "Cozy Lodge" DP is a more recent purchase, but the image was saved from off of a card I received [I-don't-know-how-many] years ago!  The sentiment is FTHS and was a leftover just floating around waiting to be used.  The snowflakes are cut with a punch that was one of my very first purchases once I started scrapping.  (We love snow, so I NEEDED it! ;) )  The paper that the snowflakes are cut from was a small piece of white cardstock with measurements for another card that was just sitting on my table.  The MS border punch is several years old, too.  I love to play with new toys, images, papers, etc., but there is something very satisfying about also using the "oldies"!!

Here's a close up so you can see the sparkle on the image...

Challenges...
Tuesday Throwdown #273 - snowflakes
Simon Says Wednesday - Let it snow
Christmas Stampin' All Year Ling #61 - Christmas gift
Clear It Out - anything goes + anything goes
Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge - anything goes Christmas
A Snowflake Promise #11 - Christmas/winter
Cuttlebug Mania - Christmas animals (image cut with Spellbinders Standard Circles, sentiment cut with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A)

U mean the world 2 me - TMS #325

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!   I'll get right to it.  Here's my card for today...

And here's another card for today...
I'm submitting my snowman card to these challenges...
52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown - pick a previous theme (July '15 - snowman)
Holly Jolly Christmas - snowman

And still another one!! :)

Why so many?  I was working ahead on my DT cards and made the first card you see for today's challenge with All the World, a set from Deedee's Digis - our sponsor for this week.   Then I won a challenge last week that was sponsored by Deedee's Digis, so after getting my prize, I played with the new sets, too.

Here's our sketch that I obviously had great fun playing with...
