Happy birthday to one cool cat - C4G #237

Hi!  It's time for our Cardz 4 Galz challenge!  This time we want you to showcase your patterned paper!  If you are like me, I have sooooo much paper!  I need to make more cards like this one to use it up.

I do love pretty paper and use it often, but sometimes that pad that looked so cute in the store or online is totally uninspiring once it gets to my craft room.  Or I like a couple of pages and use them all and am left with less that desirable pages.  This paper pad is one of those.  I bought this 6x6 pad to go with a stamp set that I "had to have" but have rarely used.  I don't make a lot of critter cards and even if I did, the patterns are a little on the gaudy side for me.  So... cut them into strips and make a card like this.  :)  I've also discovered that dry embossing patterned paper is very cool, too!

This is DCWV Playful Pets.  I cut strips and adhered them to a 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 panel.  I was not thrilled with it so decided to emboss it with Cuttlebug Birthday Bash before adding it to my card front.  My kitty and sentiment are MFT Love You Furever.

I hope you come join us for our patterned paper challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

Feel better soon - TMS #780

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Here's my card for this week's challenge...

This was my third version.  The first ended up in the trash, the second was taken apart, and finally I was ok with this one.
My paper is Carta Bella Fall Fun.  My image is JustRite Chicken Soup Labels Four.  It was cut with Spellbinders Labels Four as were the banner elements.   My sentiment is The Project Bin Defined.

Here's the sketch...

What a wonderful world - TMS #779

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Here's my card for this week's challenge...

This was fun, but easy.  I've had the image stamped and colored for awhile and this was the perfect sketch for it.  My image is Melanie from Kraftin' Kimmie.  The sentiment came with the image. My paper is Carta Bella Metropolitan Girl that was dry embossed with Darice Crackle EF.

Here's our sketch...

Wishing comfort and hope - C4G #236

It's time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz.  For this challenge, we want you to use at least 3 of these colors... orange, purple, black, and green.  I used orange, black, and green...

My paper is Crate Paper.    My flowers are The Ton Peony Memories Cardmaking. The sentiment is JustRite Sympathy Handwritten Sentiments.  I really like this particular sentiment because it can be for a sympathy card or for someone who received a difficult diagnosis or just an encouragement card.

We hope you come play along with us at Cardz 4 Galz!

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

hello friend - TMS #778

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  We've got a fun sketch this week!!

This sketch was so easy, but I made it even easier... I just cut paper. :)  My paper is Carta Bella My Favorite Things.  The patterned panels and the sentiment are all from the pad.  I did fussy cut a couple of butterflies to give a bit of dimension.  Simple but still cute!

Here's the sketch...

with sympathy - TMS #777

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Another challenge, another sketch.  This one is very versatile!  I had several ideas but chose to make a sympathy card...

My paper is the Paper Studio Cape Cod.  I made the waves in the sketch with MFT Stitched Ric Rac.  The image is Delicious Doodles.  The sentiment is Raisin Boat Stunning Silhouettes.  Rather that make a mat for the main panel, I distressed it a bit with a sanding block.

Here's the sketch...

Happy birthday 2U - C4G #235

Hi!  Thanks for coming by to see my card for our challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!   Here's my birthday card using our theme of circles...

I created my own slimline card base with Kraft.  My paper is AC Dear Lizzy Neapolitan.  The circles are cut with Die-versions Stitched Circles.  My sentiments are the "happy" from a Happy Christmas that was a freebie many years ago, the "birthday" is from Spellbinders Yana's Layered Script Sentiments, and the "2u" are stickers from the same paper pack that I colored to match.

Happy birthday - TMS #776

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  It's finally October!  And there is sometimes a little chill in the air... and that means winter is coming... and hopefully, that means snow!!!  :)  Some of you are groaning, but I love snow!

After all that weather rambling, here is a birthday card...

I trimmed an A2 card down to make is square.  My paper is DCWV Sunsplashed. I cut the happy letters out of a circle with Poppystamps Marzipan Alphabet
. The banner is Spellbinders Ribbon Banners.  "Birthday" is Sweet n Sassy Pennant Party.

Here' the fun sketch...  (Your card does not have to be a square... remember a shape is just a shape as long as we can recognize the sketch.)
