Comfort in God's Word

Friday is here!  I know several folk who are glad that this week is over!  Life is full of problems and heartaches and trials.  BUT we can have comfort!!  God knows all and cares for all and has a plan for all, and if we trust Him, He WILL bring us through every problem and heartache and trial!  He promises that in His Word!!!

This has been a rough week for several of my friends and I have made some cards to send.  Here is one of them...

This sentiment and image are from Doodle Pantry's Daily Devotion.  This is a beautiful set!  You'll see more cards with this soon.  The DP is the last few pages of MME Lost & Found Two "Sunshine" and I'm going to miss this pad!  The brown is embossed (I put my paper in upside down so it's actually debossed!) with CB Teresa Collins Timeless EF.  The brown pearls are Recollections.

Summer "hi"!

Happy Wednesday to you!  I don't even want to think about how quickly summer is going!!  We have enjoyed our activities and plan to continue to keep it up!  Earlier this month, some of my family was able to spend some time at my parents cottage... just about the best place on earth, in my opinion.  We relaxed, swam, rode the paddle boat, and got some sunburn.  So much fun! :)   Here at home, the filter is not working, so our pool is green, so we can't do this, but it is great fun to just float on lake or in pool and enjoy the warmth!

Today I've got another card (like my previous post) that has a play on words...

My image and sentiment are from Doodle Pantry.  The set is Seahorse Habitat COLOR Plus.  I've had the plaid paper on the red matte on my desk for weeks.  I just kept moving it out of my way until I printed this image and realized it would work well with it.  :)  
My image and sentiment are off-set and I like the effect, but it was kind of an accident... I meant them to be aligned vertically, but forgot to do that before printing, so... this is what you get!

Happy Tuesday evening to you!!  (I guess it's late enough that it's almost Wednesday!)  It's been quite awhile since I've posted more than once in a day, but I had some time to play this evening and have a birthday card to share with you...

Isn't this little guy adorable??  He's from the Beary Cute COLOR Plus set from Doodle Pantry.  The digi paper is also from that set.  My image is cut out with Spellbinders Standard Circles and the mat is Petite Scalloped Circles.  The flowers are Flora Doodles.  The punched border is a Martha Stewart punch.

My image is "Cute Girl with Flower Basket" from our sponsor for this week... SLS Lines.  It's an Etsy shop full of "digital stamps and papers with a fun and quirky vibe."   I colored my image with Spectrum Noir markers.  All of my DP was from my scrap pile.  My flourish is from Spellbinders Doodle Parts and it is topped with a Prima flower.

I've been traveling (expected and unexpected) quite a bit in the past month, so I took a short cut and used a colored image.  Maybe my life will be normal for a few weeks, and I'll have more time for crafting.  [Ha!  Who am I kidding?!?]  Oh well, one can always hope! :)  
At least my most recent trip means I have a good stash of Lay's Ketchup Chips and All-dressed Ruffles and Mint Aero and Crunchies and more! ;)

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  

My card this week has a sweet image and sentiment!  I know you can read this for yourself, but I really like it so I'm going to quote it, too! :)  "If  friends were flowers, I would pick you"  It's just such a sweet sentiment!!  Here's my card...

My DP is Paper Studio "Sweet Pea" and is actually a baby mat stack.  The soft shades were perfect for the image.  The image is "Pick You" from Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps, who is our sponsor for this week.  A big thank you to Stitchy Bear for providing images for the DT!!  I used my Spectrum Noir markers and then cut and embossed the image with Spellbinders Large and Small Labels.

Courage - TMS #305

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Short and sweet post today.  My next few posts are pre-scheduled because I'm in South America!! :)  We're visiting one of our missionaries and I'm excited to see what the Lord has in store!!

Here's my card for today...

My sentiment is from Doodle Pantry Twain Quips.  I used this in a card I posted on the weekend, but I love it so much that I used it again for today.  My bow is kind of in the way, so here's what it says:

My tag is rather small but I could not find the tags I recently purchased so I used an EKSuccess punch.  [Of course, after finishing all my cards, guess what I found??!!?? :/ ]

Courage vs fear

Happy Saturday to you!  I'm busy cleaning house and packing for a trip, so this will be short and sweet.  

A new set at Doodle Pantry this month is Twain Quips.  It's such a neat set!!  Really great quotes!

I used one on this card...

My digi paper is from the set Pelican Dreams.  I had already combined them and printed the background and found the cardstock and ribbon that worked well so used them with this sentiment.  If you look closely, you will see this is only one layer though it looks like many.

"Princess" - Doodle Pantry Release

I've got a little princess to show you, but I'm certain it's not what you are expecting!!  Keep reading...

We've got some new releases today at Doodle Pantry.  Wonderful sets!!  Click HERE to go see them all!

My card is different for me... I'm not really a fan of purple.  My kids sometimes tell people, "My mom hates purple!"   I don't really hate it; it's just in last place in the list of colors I'd choose! ;)  It is a bit odd... I see other people use purple on their cards and often really love their card, so I guess I'm just weird. :P  Anyway, all that for this...  

Here's my princess... a purple dinosaur princess!  :)

My images and sentiment are from Kid Toys.   I used the digi paper from Little Girl Valentine.  (You may recognize the images of Kid Toy are the same as Little Girl and Little Boy Valentine sets without the hearts.)  Using the digi paper gives a perfect match, of course, but as you might expect from my earlier rambling, I have almost zero purple DP in my stash! LOL  My image is cut using Spellbinders Standard Circles and Petite Scalloped Circles.  A bit of ribbon and a few brads finished it off.

Hebrews 11:1 is one of my favorite verses!  Faith is taking God at His word, living accordingly, and seeing what He will do in our lives!   I'm so thankful for what the Lord has done in my life when I've lived by faith!!

Wedding season is upon us!  We went to one last weekend, and will be traveling to one next week.  I love weddings!!  Here is one of the cards I made...

Sending hugs - TMS #302

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  I don't often really love a card I made, but this week, I do... and it wasn't even as I had planned.  The DP is 2-sided and I ended up using the other side from what I had originally chosen.  I changed sentiments from my plan, and used a different color cardstock.  LOL  But I did like the result.  What do you think?

My DP is Lost and Found Two "Sunshine" and my image is "Apple Blossom Birds" from From the Heart Stamps.  I cropped the image and cut an extra flower and popped it up.

This was a really fun sketch to play with!  The DP is MME "Dolled Up."  The pcs behind the image are 1", 3/4", and 1/2".  I used tiny adhesive pearls for the circle element.  My image is the colored version of RPS_Sunflower from Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet... our sponsor for the week!
