My card was fun to make.  My DP is "Rock Island" by Paper Studio.  The side panel is cut with Spellbinders Labels Four.  The Hampton Arts rubber sentiment is cut out with Spellbinders Petite Ovals.   My "stitching" was made using my Cutter Bee Bug and a black gel pen.  The butterfly is from Heidi Swapp and inked with TH "tea dye."

Flashback Friday at M5D!

Happy Friday to you!!   Today we are having a flashback at McMahon Five Designs!  The DT has chosen some previously released images and created some wonderful projects!

Tuesday was Earth Day.  My save-the-earth motto is this one... "Save the earth! It's the only planet with chocolate!"  :)   But in all seriousness, I do believe we have a responsibility to take care of the earth God gave us and all that is in it.  Genesis 2:15 "And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it."   Proverbs 12:10 "A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast..."

My card was made using a couple of fun and very versatile sets from Daydream Designs. 

My colored image and sentiment are from Hug A Tree.  My DP is from Our Good Earth Digital Papers.

Big Blossom - TMS #246

Happy Tuesday to you!!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  It is finally beginning to look like spring around here, so I've got a flowery Mother's Day wish to show you!

I kept my card pretty clean and simple.  I started with a Kraft base, stamped my Stampendous sentiment in Memento Rich Cocoa, added 3 strips of washi tape,  and the flower.  This was cut in the 3 smallest sizes then crumpled.  I inked the edges with TH walnut stain.   The blossom is Spellbinders Blossom Five (available at Dies R Us)......

Dies R Us just happens to be our sponsor for this week!  :)  I wish I could win!!!  I love my dies almost as much as my many (I don't dare count!) wonderful embossing folders!

Spring flowers -- M5D New Release!!

Happy Friday!!  Today we have some new releases for you at McMahon Five Designs! I've got some spring flowers!  On Sunday, I came home from church and a few of my crocuses were blooming!!  Finally a sign of spring!  Then we got snow on Wednesday!  Haha!  (But you know me... I love snow any time! :) )

I used the colored image and sentiment from Imagine That! digis by Kris set "Bloom Where You Are Planted."  Very cute set!!!   My DP is AC "Lucky Charm" embossed with Cuttlebug "Love Language" EF.  The image and sentiment panels are cut with Spellbinders Labels Fifteen.

Eat cake!! :)

Let's eat cake!!!!  Who doesn't love to eat cake, especially birthday cake??  I guess that would be my family!  Our "birthday cakes" are cinnamon rolls or cheesecake or S'mores Bars or French Silk Pie or German Chocolate Brownies or Oreo 'Lasagna'!!  Not very cake-ish, are we?  But that's what we usually have... my son is the only one who actually asks for a "normal" cake!

I've got a fun cake for you today!!   Doesn't this look like it would be yummy if it were real?

I kept my card pretty simple.   I printed the colored banner and cake, cut it to size, embossed with Cuttlebug "With Gratitude" EF, scored on both sides of the sentiment banner, fussy cut another cake, and popped it up with Scotch permanent mounting tape.  (That stuff is really neat... it gives dimension, but it quite thin so that card is not too bulky.)

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #245!!

Here's my card.  Though I must admit, it is not my first try! :/  This was one of those cards that I made, then changed, then remade.  Still isn't what I envisioned, but it's ok.

I do think the image is adorable!!  It is "Kitten Heart" from Sami Stamps, our sponsor for this week.  You could win a $12 voucher (equal to 3 digis of your choice)!!

My image is colored with my Spectrum Noir markers.  The DP is Prima "En Francais" and the smaller panel is embossed with CB "Love Language."  The sentiment Doodle Pantry "Celebrations."

Friday Release at M5D

Happy Friday to you!!  Today at McMahon Five Designs, we have some new releases as well as some flashback projects to show you!

Mine is a new release from Imagine That! digis by Kris...  I used Airplanes and Take Flight Papers.

The pilot's head and scarf are sticking out of the plane.  :)  I had printed 2 and was fussy cutting the whole image to pop up when I realized my printer had put a line through the plane that was very visible.  Grrr!  So then I just cut his head off.

Rainy Days - TMS #244

Happy Tuesday to you!!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  And this week is our
JUDGED CHALLENGE  with a  TWIST!!!!   Follow the sketch and do the twist and you are eligible to win!  Plus, we pick a TOP 5 this week, too!!

What's the twist?? - - "RAINY DAYS" 

This was really fun to make! My DP is Prima "Believe."  The BG was embossed with Sizzix "Cloudy Day."  I've seen this EF and wanted it!  I recently won some goodies in a challenge and this was included!  Happy me!!!
My images and sentiment are Doodle Pantry's "Rubber Boots."  Raindrops (a clear stamp from The Greeting Farm "Mini Clouds") were randomly stamped in Memento Pear Tart and Bamboo Leaves.    The sentiment was cut with the coordinating die in that set.

Happy Tuesday!!  I was trying to think of some silly April Fool's joke to play on you, but I couldn't come up with anything, so I won't!  But Happy April 1 to you anyway!  And it's Tuesday Morning Sketches time!!

I'm on a roll... I've got another masculine card for you.  Actually, my Doodle Pantry post today has a manly card, too. 

My image is Necktie Banner from From The Heart Digital Art Stamps.  My sentiment is TPC Studio.  The DP is Authentique "Journey."

When I created the sketch, I doubt I was thinking of a man - if I was, I GUARANTEE it was my husband!! :) - but it worked for a male card anyway! :)

New Release at Doodle Pantry!!

It's April first!  That means lots of us will be the butt of April Fool's Day jokes, but it also means it's time for a new release at Doodle Pantry!!  And trust me, it's MUCH better than having a joke played on you!!

I've got a couple of projects to show you...  first is a masculine card.   (For more testosterone, see my TMS post)

My image is from Deer Trio and was colored with my Spectrum Noir markers.   My sentiment is from a previous release... Swimming Mallard Color Plus.

My second project is an SVG cut... Wagon 3D SVG.  I've got 3 pics to show you... one empty, one with black jelly beans (I LOVE black jelly beans and my hubby HATES them!!), and one carrying Peeps! :)

For this many jelly beans I had to put something under the bottom or the wheels would have bent.  If putting this much weight, I will know next time to make the wheels of cardboard or multi layers. 

I'm sorry that I missed the end of the handle in all the pics! :/

This is really cute and was fun and easy to make!!  I cut it using Make the Cut and my Cricut E.
