Shiny Christmas - TMS #422

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  Here's my card for this week...

  
It's sad... this paper is Recollections Winter Frost and my 6x6 pad is almost gone.  I love this paper!!  So shiny!  The snowflakes are a MS punch.  The sentiment is Raisin Boat Merry Nature stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with white EP then cut with Spellbinders Nested Lacey Pennants. 

Here's our sketch...  My angles are a little off, but it's still recognizable.

O Holy Night - CCC #22

Happy Sunday to you!  It's time for Christmas Card Challenges!

I found this polka dot paper in my scraps and thought it made the perfect night sky!!  The brown cardstock was cut with a Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes die.  My nativity scene is Die-Versions Nativity Border.  I had to trim one animal off of the right side.  My Momenta clear sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx and heat embossed.   Pretty simple, but really beautiful IRL!  {{I just  can't take pics that make my cards look like good! :/ }}

I found some blue paper with teeny tiny stars instead of the dots and made several more just like this.  Beautiful and post-office-friendly!

I didn't pay close enough attention to my brown pieces, so some of the "dirt" is higher on some cards. :/

White poinsettia

Another Christmas card tonight.  This one is all white!  (Except for the sentiment.)

I embossed the BG panel with Cuttlebug Holly Ribbons.  The poinsettia is Darice Layering Poinsettia.  My sentiment is Sweet n Sassy Christmas Tags.  It's stamped with Versafine Onyx and cut with Spellbinders Ribbon Banners.  It's not visible in this pic, but I used my Wink of Stella pen on the flower leaves, so they sparkle, too.

Joy to the World the Lord is Come!

Hi!  I have a card to show you, but first, let me tell you that I have discovered the greatest thing EVER!!!   I love dies.  I love fancy dies.  I don't often use my fancy dies (and have hesitated to buy more delicate dies) because it is so frustrating to have the die not cut cleanly and/or rip coming out of the die.  This thing makes all the difference in the world!!  It's a simple metal shim for my die cutting machine.  That's it!  Look at it... nothing fancy, but it has amazing power! :D  

This Find It Trading Holly Jolly Music die is probably my favorite, but it was so hard to get a nice clean perfect cut.

Not anymore!  I don't even know where I first saw/heard about shims for a Cuttlebug, but after doing some looking, I ordered one from eBay and am loving it!!!  (I'm not getting any compensation for this or trying to sell you anything.  I just know how frustrated I would get and would love to be able to save other from that!)  It used to take me forever to get one nice die cut like this.

There are several brands of shims, but I got this CottageCutz one...

Finally, here is the card I made with this die cut...

 In fact, it came together so easily and nicely, that I made 5 more! :)

My paper is Dovecraft Winter Blooms.  I cut the panels with CottageCutz Stitched Rectangles.   This wonderful die is Find It Trading Holly Jolly Music.  My sentiment is My Craft Spot Jot to the World.  I stamped it with Versafine Onyx ink then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  The ribbon is Offray organza ribbon from my stash.

Kitty & birdie Christmas

I was able to spend some time in my craft room, so I went through my printed images and found a few to create with.  Looking back, I was able to determine that this one has been printed (and waiting) for about 2 yrs!!!   So I found a few challenges to inspire me, and voilà! 

My DP is AC Let It Snow, and it is embossed with Sizzix Berry Swirls.  My image is Imagine That! digis by Kris "Mistletoe Kitty."  It's cut with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics and framed with Spellbinders  Tile Works.  Some pink twine and a few punched snowflakes finished it off.
