Praying for you - C4G #239

Happy Thanksgiving to my friends in the USA!

It's time for a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz.  We are asking you to create a card for a gal in your life using your favourite colour combo.  This was not easy for me!  I love red, but I don't necessarily love red cards.  So I looked through what I've made over the last several months and what really caught my eye were the cards made with blue and yellow, so I guess that is my new favourite colour combo. :)

My paper is AC Jack Frost.  My flowers are Sizzix TH Small Tattered Flowers.  I added a panel of vellum to tone down the busy pattern of the BG.  My sentiment is one of many like it that I've had printed for a long time.  It is leftover from a ministry at our former church.  We had a Romans 12:15 ministry... "Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep."  I made cards with this sentiment, and we wrote notes and sent them to families in our area on the anniversary of a loved one's death.  (We also sent happy cards to new mothers.)

Challenges:
Crafty Gals Corner #261 - AG w/ opt. twist - use 3 layers
Word Art Wednesday #675-676 - AG that's family friendly

Please play along at Cardz 4 Galz and share your favourite colour combo! (Or one of them.)

Thanks for stopping and have a blessed day!

Snowflake Christmas - TMS #784

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  We had a couple of inches of snow last week, so I was in a snowy mood when I made this card.  I love snow!!  :)

My plaid paper is Carta Bella A Wonderful Christmas.  I stamped Echo Park Musical Notes Background in white pigment ink.  My snowflakes are cut from a shimmery silver paper using Sweet n Sassy Small Snowflakes, Spellbinder Snowflakes, Poppystamps Adelaide Snowflakes, and a couple of punches.  My sentiment is from Raisin Boat Formal Phrases.

Here's our sketch...

You're such a blessing - C4G #238

It's time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz.  Our theme is texture.  That can mean texture from pastes or embossing or layers or embellishments.  Or add them all! :)

My paper is Echo Park Sunflower Market. I used Carta Bella Dotted Diamonds stencil with TH stormy sky and peeled paint.  I then embossed the panel with Cuttlebug Diamond in the Rough and brushed white pigment ink over it.  My sentiment is Echo Park Better With You.  It's cut with Die-versions Stitched Circles.  I fussy cut a flower from the paper and added Carta Bella Holiday Sprigs leaves.  The honeycomb is a die from Sizzix Impresslits Sweet Friend.

We'd love to have you share your textured cards for gals with us!  Please come play along at Cardz 4 Galz

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

Happy birthday to a special someone - TMS #781

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I made a birthday card for this week's challenge...

I have since purchased a few stencils actually meant for paper crafting, but the first stencils I got were from Michael's and were cookie stencils.  This is one of them.  I inked it, then moved it slightly, and inked again.  My sentiment is Poppystamps Art Deco Birthday Greetings.  It's cut out with Kat Scrappiness Wonky Wavy Stitched Rectangles.  I thought the wavy stitches matched the wavy lines.

Here is our sketch...

Snowflakes - SCC #166

Christmas is next month!!!  That's exciting to say! That means it is November and time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge.  If you read the title, you may have guessed that our theme is "snowflakes."

I have to say that I love this snowflake card!!

It is so pretty but was so simple and easy!!  The snowflake background paper is
O Holy Night from Hobby Lobby.  The sentiment is a strip from another sheet in the same pack that I adhered diagonally.  These delicate snowflakes are Poppystamps Adelaide Snowflakes cut from gold paper.  So quick and easy, but sooooo pretty IRL!!

We'd love to have you come play along with us this month at Sparkles Christmas Challenge!

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!
