Purple Christmas

I've got a Christmas card... a purple Christmas card.  If you know me personally, you know that purple is NOT my favorite color!!!  In fact, I've been know to say bad things about purple. :O  If you love it, that's great.  No need to hate me.

Why am I rambling about purple?  Doodle Pantry is sponsoring CraftyHazelnut's Christmas Challenge today and the theme is "purple."  So here's my purple Christmas card...

I know my DP doesn't scream "Christmas," but since I hate don't really care for purple, I don't have much of it in my stash.  My image is Doodle Pantry's Mini Bethlehem.  I used Spellbinders Petite Ovals and Labels 18 to cut the image and frames.  The sketch of this card is one I use often!  It's quick and easy but still looks classy.  (Even using purple! LOL)

Challenges...
Christmas Cards All Year 'Round July - anything goes
ABC Christmas Challenge - N is for No Rules (anything goes)

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

Floral thank you

I wanted a masculine thank you.  I tend to struggle with masculine cards.  {{I think it's because I don't have much masculine paper.  Hey!!  Maybe I should go paper shopping!!!}}  I chose my paper and stamp with men in mind, but still am not thrilled with the masculinity of it.  Do you think it's masculine enough looking for a guy?  I hope so because it's going to be sent to one.

Merriest wishes - CCC #29

Happy Father's Day!  {That is if any fathers happen to ever read my blog!}

It's time for another Christmas card for the challenge at Christmas Card Challenges!  This week, we've got a color challenge for you!   That's why this card is a little different from my "usual" cards.  I tend to be very traditional red/green for Christmas, but it's fun to mix it up a little now and then...

My cardstock and polka dot DP are from my scraps.  I used a MS border punch on the DP and the striped vellum.  The wavy bit and the large image are stickers from a Paper Studio pack.  The clear sentiment is Momenta.  It is cut out with a Tiny Tags die from Simon Says Stamp.

Here's our color inspiration for you...

*But remember the only rule is that you need to make a Christmas/holiday card*  These are definitely not your traditional Christmas colors, but they are beautiful and we can't wait to see what you do with them!!

Challenges...
ABC Christmas Challenge - L is for... Layers, Light pink ;)
Holly Jolly Christmas #74 - tag it (the top is tucked behind the image, but my sentiment is on a tag)
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas #286 - cute or anything Christmas

Thanks for stopping and have a blessed day!!

Hi - TMS #356

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

This was a fun image to color Though I have to say that I really dislike bugs!  In the fall, we have some kind of bug that is similar to a lady bug that they tell me has some good use on the farms around, but I just hate them in my house!!!
Pardon the rant... now on to the details...
My paper was a scrap that I distressed.  The "hi" is a Stampendous clear stamp and cut out with Spellbinders Circles.  My image is BUGLBDAISY ladybug daisy (colored with Spectrum Noir markers) from Bugaboo... our sponsor this week!  Play along for a chance to win 7 images of your choice from Bugaboo Stamps!!

Here's our awesome sketch for the week...

Challenges...

Note cards for my hubby - AIMPDC 18

Hello and Happy Wednesday!   Today is also June 1, so it's time for Doodle Pantry's Ants in My Pants Digital Challenge 18!!  It starts at noon EST today over at the DP BLOG.

I've got a few cards to show you.  They are all the same sketch and image, but different paper combinations...

These cards are for my husband to use.  He is a pastor, as you probably may have assumed.  ;)   I have a bunch of this image printed and waiting to be made, so after finding the pile of them again and deciding not to just move it, I made several for him.  The image is from DP's Assemble Together.

Here are a couple of others...

They are a pretty simple design and not embellished because they usually are mailed.  The embossing, inking, and distressing adds some interest without the bulk.

Challenges...
{PIN}spirational Challenges #166 - anything goes
Die Cuttin' Divas #268 - anything goes with a die cut

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

To somebody special - TMS #354

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

This is one of those a-bit-of-this-and-that cards.  The green embossed panel has been floating around my desk for probably over a year!  [It's embossed with Spellbinders "Flourish" Impressabilities and inked with TH peeled paint.]  The image [Butterfly Flower from Sami Stamps] has been sitting for a couple of months waiting to be used.  The green cardstock was in a box of scraps that I had intended to organize last summer.  (Still not organized... most of it just got thrown out because I have way too many scraps!!)  The sentiment is from M5D.

This week, we have a new sponsor... we're glad to have Pink and Main sponsoring this week!!  **The prize is $15 store credit**  The winner will have fun checking out their really cute stuff!!!

Here's our sketch... :)
