Ice cream, ice cream, and more ice cream!!

Do you love ice cream?  We do at our house!!  Even in the middle of winter we will eat ice cream.

Hi - TMS #356

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

This was a fun image to color Though I have to say that I really dislike bugs!  In the fall, we have some kind of bug that is similar to a lady bug that they tell me has some good use on the farms around, but I just hate them in my house!!!
Pardon the rant... now on to the details...
My paper was a scrap that I distressed.  The "hi" is a Stampendous clear stamp and cut out with Spellbinders Circles.  My image is BUGLBDAISY ladybug daisy (colored with Spectrum Noir markers) from Bugaboo... our sponsor this week!  Play along for a chance to win 7 images of your choice from Bugaboo Stamps!!

Here's our awesome sketch for the week...

Challenges...

(I rounded one end in a circle punch.)  The finishing touches are some adhesive pearls, a metal brad, and some hemp twine.

Drum roll, please..............

I am now a member of the Design Team at Christmas Card Challenges!!

Here's my first CCC DT card...

This week, we have an inspiration photo... jingle bells!!

{But remember that the only real requirement is that you make a Christmas card... the inspiration is optional.}

My image and sentiment are from Doodle Pantry's Jingle Ants.  The DP is Recollections Cozy Lodge and I distressed the edges with my Distrezz-it-all.   The red star paper is DCWV.  My panels are cut using CottageCutz Stitched Rectangles.  I printed my image 3 times and fussy cut the bells for some dimension.  I punched a hole at the end of the image ribbon and ran my grosgrain ribbon through.

Note cards for my hubby - AIMPDC 18

Hello and Happy Wednesday!   Today is also June 1, so it's time for Doodle Pantry's Ants in My Pants Digital Challenge 18!!  It starts at noon EST today over at the DP BLOG.

I've got a few cards to show you.  They are all the same sketch and image, but different paper combinations...

These cards are for my husband to use.  He is a pastor, as you probably may have assumed.  ;)   I have a bunch of this image printed and waiting to be made, so after finding the pile of them again and deciding not to just move it, I made several for him.  The image is from DP's Assemble Together.

Here are a couple of others...

They are a pretty simple design and not embellished because they usually are mailed.  The embossing, inking, and distressing adds some interest without the bulk.

Challenges...
{PIN}spirational Challenges #166 - anything goes
Die Cuttin' Divas #268 - anything goes with a die cut

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

To somebody special - TMS #354

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

This is one of those a-bit-of-this-and-that cards.  The green embossed panel has been floating around my desk for probably over a year!  [It's embossed with Spellbinders "Flourish" Impressabilities and inked with TH peeled paint.]  The image [Butterfly Flower from Sami Stamps] has been sitting for a couple of months waiting to be used.  The green cardstock was in a box of scraps that I had intended to organize last summer.  (Still not organized... most of it just got thrown out because I have way too many scraps!!)  The sentiment is from M5D.

This week, we have a new sponsor... we're glad to have Pink and Main sponsoring this week!!  **The prize is $15 store credit**  The winner will have fun checking out their really cute stuff!!!

Here's our sketch... :)

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

I'm all messed up this week!  I went away and forgot to have my post ready to go before I left. :P  And I decided at the last minute to leave my laptop at home, so I couldn't even do it at all.  But I'm home now and here it is...

I made a "fancy fold"... (not sure what this is technically called)

My image is Doodle Pantry "Old Ship Color Plus."  It's cut out using Spellbinders Standard Circles and framed with Spellbinders Labels 22.  My DP is Prima "DIY Shop."

Handy father's day -- TMS #352

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

It's not a "requirement" for fatherhood that a man be handy with tools, but both my father and my husband are very handy with tools, so this "little handyman" is a great image for me to use on a Father's Day card...

My DP is all scraps.  The banner is DCWV corrugated DP.  My image is Handy Harry from Digital Delights and is colored with Spectrum Noir markers then fussy cut.  (He's a little dark... I printed the color image in black and white by mistake and just colored him rather than printing again.)  The square behind him is cut out with Spellbinders Celebra'tions Squares.  My sentiment is a Recollections rubber stamp.

Here's our sketch for this week...

We've got a new sponsor this week -- Crafty Sentiments!!   We're so happy to have them sponsoring!!  The prize is 3 digital stamps of the winner's choice. :)

Merry Christmas - TMS #351

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  I've got a Christmas card for you today.   I tried a new (to me) technique for this... on the edge die cutting.

To do this, when you place your die on the paper, part of the die is off the cutting plate so that it doesn't cut through.  Not sure if that makes sense, but you can find tutorials on YouTube.
My die is CC Designs Winter Wonderland.  **See? I'm already wishing for next winter's snow!! LOL**  I used CB Swiss Dots to emboss.  The DP is Recollections "Winter Frost," and my sentiment is from My Craft Spot "Joy To the World" stamped with Versafine.

Here's our great sketch from Patti...

She is also sponsoring this week with this great prize package...

Challenges...
Addicted to Stamps #126 - only sentiment, no image
Christmas Card Challenge #23 - Christmas card (I didn't do optional colors)
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas #280 - vintage or anything goes Christmas
ABC Christmas Challenge - I for Ink (I used Versafine Onyx Black to stamp my sentiment)

Feel better - AIMPDC 17

Can it really already be the 1st of May???  Wow!  I must be getting old because time seems to be flying by!

Isn't this birdie cute??!?  I hope time flies for the recipient of this card and that this birdie cheers him up as he heals!  This is for a young boy in our church who broke his leg.  Poor little guy!  His break required surgery and a pin.  :(

I used the color image from Boo-boo Birdie & Ants.  He was cut out with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics B then I ran my Cutter Bee Bug around the edges to make a pierced border.  The sentiment is cut out using Spellbinders Ribbon Banners.  My ribbon is AC.  The chipboard button is DCWV.  The plaid paper is a scrap that I distressed on my Distrezz It All.  [I love that little machine!!!]

Because today is May 1, Doodle Pantry's Ants In My Pantry Digital Challenge 17 starts today at noon, so visit the blog to enter!!   Our theme is always "Anything Digital Goes"!
