Courage - TMS #305

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Short and sweet post today.  My next few posts are pre-scheduled because I'm in South America!! :)  We're visiting one of our missionaries and I'm excited to see what the Lord has in store!!

Here's my card for today...

My sentiment is from Doodle Pantry Twain Quips.  I used this in a card I posted on the weekend, but I love it so much that I used it again for today.  My bow is kind of in the way, so here's what it says:
"Courage is
resistance to fear
master of fear
not absence of fear"

My tag is rather small but I could not find the tags I recently purchased so I used an EKSuccess punch.  [Of course, after finishing all my cards, guess what I found??!!?? :/ ]

This is our awesome sketch for this week created by Jessi...

Our sponsor this week is our very own Melissa!!  She's offering a $10 gift card to Ellen Hutson!!

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to go check out the creations from the TMS DT...

Courage vs fear

Happy Saturday to you!  I'm busy cleaning house and packing for a trip, so this will be short and sweet.

A new set at Doodle Pantry this month is Twain Quips.  It's such a neat set!!  Really great quotes!

I used one on this card...

My digi paper is from the set Pelican Dreams.  I had already combined them and printed the background and found the cardstock and ribbon that worked well so used them with this sentiment.  If you look closely, you will see this is only one layer though it looks like many.
Twain Quips has great papers with it, too!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

Hello friend - TMS #304

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  I'm on a roll... 2 cards in 2 weeks that I love! LOL  This one is made using my current fave DP, so that's why it was so fun to make and why I'm so pleased with the outcome.

The DP is Prima "Romance Novel" 6x6 pad and there are no pages in it that I do not love!  My image is from Close to My Heart and the team received these images from this week's sponsor... Patti Rowe, a CTMH consultant.

Patti has a special offer for you this week, too.  You could win a free stamp!  Here's what Patti is offering for you...

Hey Tuesday Morning Sketchers!

It's my birthday and I'm celebrating by sponsoring this week's Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge.

For the challenge prize I'm giving away a "You Mean the World to Me" set  and a pack of 50 6 x 6 sheets of CTMH paper/cardstock combo.  Plus I will send ANYONE who places an order on my site during the challenge week a free "Hello Friend" stamp!

I think the DT needs to win something too don't you??  So I'm going to have my CTMH and Facebook friends and would like all of you to vote for your favorite artwork created by the 6 Design Team artists!!  The DT winner gets to pick out the Close to My Heart stamp set or paper pack of their choice up to $20!!

"Princess" - Doodle Pantry Release

I've got a little princess to show you, but I'm certain it's not what you are expecting!!  Keep reading...

We've got some new releases today at Doodle Pantry.  Wonderful sets!!  Click HERE to go see them all!

My card is different for me... I'm not really a fan of purple.  My kids sometimes tell people, "My mom hates purple!"   I don't really hate it; it's just in last place in the list of colors I'd choose! ;)  It is a bit odd... I see other people use purple on their cards and often really love their card, so I guess I'm just weird. :P  Anyway, all that for this...

Here's my princess... a purple dinosaur princess!  :)

My images and sentiment are from Kid Toys.   I used the digi paper from Little Girl Valentine.  (You may recognize the images of Kid Toy are the same as Little Girl and Little Boy Valentine sets without the hearts.)  Using the digi paper gives a perfect match, of course, but as you might expect from my earlier rambling, I have almost zero purple DP in my stash! LOL  My image is cut using Spellbinders Standard Circles and Petite Scalloped Circles.  A bit of ribbon and a few brads finished it off.

Isn't this a cute set??

Please check out the new releases!  Remember also that you've got lots of time to play along with Ants in My Pantry Digital Challenge 6!

Thanks for stopping and have a blessed day!!

Faith

Good Monday morning to you and Happy June 1st!   Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you enjoy my card...

Hebrews 11:1 is one of my favorite verses!  Faith is taking God at His word, living accordingly, and seeing what He will do in our lives!   I'm so thankful for what the Lord has done in my life when I've lived by faith!!

This verse is part of the Stand in Faith set from Doodle Pantry.  Many wonderful verses included!

Today at noon, Ants in My Pantry Digital Challenge 6 begins over at the Doodle Pantry blog.  Be sure to come play along!  The theme is always "anything digital goes" but remember that if you use a DP image, you have a chance to be featured and win an extra small prize!!

Thanks so much for stopping and have a blessed day!!

Everlasting love

Wedding season is upon us!  We went to one last weekend, and will be traveling to one next week.  I love weddings!!  Here is one of the cards I made...

My image is English Bluebells from Doodle Pantry.  The BG is embossed with CB Love Language.  (FYI the matting and ribbon are both dark purple, not black as they almost look depending on your screen)

Challenges...
Word Art Wednesday #185 - anything goes (use free word art or other uplifting sentiment)
Crafting From the Heart #61 - anything goes
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - anything goes

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

Sending hugs - TMS #302

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  I don't often really love a card I made, but this week, I do... and it wasn't even as I had planned.  The DP is 2-sided and I ended up using the other side from what I had originally chosen.  I changed sentiments from my plan, and used a different color cardstock.  LOL  But I did like the result.  What do you think?

My DP is Lost and Found Two "Sunshine" and my image is "Apple Blossom Birds" from From the Heart Stamps.  I cropped the image and cut an extra flower and popped it up.

Here's our great sketch for this week...
This is a great one that you can keep CAS or really fancy it up!!

Challenges...
FTHS Digitial Stamp of the Month - must use Apple Blossom Birds (I hope my cutting off the left flowers in the image is still acceptable)
Tuesday Throwdown #246 - anything goes
Through the Craft Room Door May 26-June 1 - anything goes

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

We are FINALLY having some nice spring weather here in NY!!  The sun has been shining for more than an hour or two at a time, and I was able to go out without a jacket yesterday!  It felt good!  I do like the fresh feel and smell of a rainy day, too, plus it's fun to use a pretty umbrella! :)  Like these pals...

My DP is from MME Lost and Found Two "Rosy" and it is embossed with Darice "Cloudy Day."  My image is Umbrella Pals from our sponsor this week... Sami Stamps who are offering a $12 voucher to the shop for our winner!!

A "cute" snake from Doodle Pantry

Yay!  It's Friday!!  But can you believe it's also May??!!!??  This year is just flying by way too quickly!!!

Today there is a new release at Doodle Pantry!  Laurie has some adorable new and color-updated sets for you!  My card was fun to make.  It's for a friend who HATES snakes!  She's going to scream her head off when she first sees it, but then she will laugh at it once she gets over wanting to kill me!  {The snake image is on an action wobble, so it will move and scare her even more!!  :) }

The new set I used is called Cute Crawlies and they really are cute!!!

"Ants in My Pantry Digital Challenge 5" begins today at noon over at the Doodle Pantry Blog and the theme is always "Any Digi Goes."  You are welcome to enter using a digi from any company, and one winner is chosen out of all entries to win  $15 gift certificate.  BUT if you use a Doodle Pantry image, you also have the opportunity to be chosen to be featured in the winners post and will receive a prize of 1 product.  [Details on the DP blog]

Hello friend

My last few weeks have been CRAZY with some traveling and many activities, so this evening, I was happy to find some time to play in my craft room!  I realized that the month is almost over and I had not played with my FTHS image yet, so I printed it and created this card...

I'm entering this card into the FREE Stamp of the Month April Challenge (must use Hamlet Pigwit Being Shy) and the i {heart} Card Sketches with a tWiSt 106 Challenge both over at From the Heart Stamps.  My DP is Lost and Found Two "Rosy" and the embossing folder is Cuttlebug Spots and Dots.

Here's the sketch... (the twist is a 2 word sentiment)

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

Notes for hubby

My husband is a pastor and I've made him cards to send "from his desk" but he now wants to send a handmade card to each visitor that comes to our church, so I'll be making lots more for him.  Doodle Pantry's "Assemble Together" set makes it quick and easy to make several at a time.  For these, I used the colored image, added the sentiment, cut them with Spellbinders, added some coordinating paper and I was good to go.

Check them out...

As I said, my image and sentiment are Doodle Pantry's Assemble Together.

The images were cut out with Spellbinders Standard Circles, Labels Three, and Large and Small Labels.  My DP is MME Lost & Found Two "Sunshine."  I made 6 all together today...

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

In deepest sympathy - TMS #297

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

I've updated this post to show you 2 cards.  The mailman was slow so I didn't have the stamps from the first card in time for my Tuesday post, so here it is...

This card is the least enjoyable card to make: a sympathy card.  But this kind of card is so necessary and can mean more to a friend than the 'fun' kind of card.  This one is pretty simple and I turned the sketch...

Here is our sketch for the week...

This week's sponsor is DRS Designs.

My DP is Paper Studio and my image is Calla Lily Sympathy Frame from DRS Designs.

Giddy up! - TMS #295

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!

I've got a fun card for you today...

I think this little guy is so cute!  My kids are growing up very quickly, and while I truly am thankful for and am enjoying my 4 teenagers, I sometimes find myself missing the days of riding horsey and all that other fun kid stuff!
My DP is a WR Memory Keepers 6x6 journal card.  I trimmed it and embossed it using Darice Basket Weave BG.  The Chevron ribbon is Paper Studio.  My cuts are Spellbinders Standard Circles and Petite Ovals.  My image and sentiment are from our sponsor this week... Bugaboo... Wee One Cowboy - Giddy Up.   We're always thrilled to have Bugaboo sponsor!!

"Hello friend" and some fun info

Just a quick post to share  a card and also some news.  First, here is my card...

This cute little guy comes from Doodle Pantry Aussie Critters.  I combined some of the digi paper that comes with this set, printed it, then cut it and the black mat with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A.  The image and sentiment were cut with Spellbinders Standard Circles.  I added the polka dot ribbon then popped up the circle.  Simple and easy, but still  cute.

Now for the fun news...

Laurie, Doodle Pantry's owner/illustrator, is having 10 Days of Inspiration and Prizes at the Doodle Pantry Blog.   She started April 2, so today is day 4 and it will continue until April 11.  She is showing some of her creations and offering a prize just for commenting! Read all about it HERE then check out all the posts so far, comment, and maybe you'll win!

Have a Blessed Resurrection Sunday tomorrow!!

Thinking of you - AIMPDC4

Can you believe it is April already???  It really is April 1st... that's no joke!! :)

Today, Doodle Pantry's Ants in My Pantry Digital Challenge 4 begins at noon.  Head over to the blog to check it out HERE.  The theme is "anything digital goes."

When I make "thinking of you" cards, they are usually intended for someone who needs the encouragement that I'm thinking of them and praying for them.  But this card was made to send for a just-for-fun "thinking of you."

Isn't he cute?  Wouldn't this make you smile?   It's a pretty simple, one layer card.  I combined patterned and plain digi papers and added the colored image and sentiment.  All I had to do then was add the bow and googly eyes.

My digi paper, image, and sentiment are from Autumn Critters.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed day!!
