Today's card is just a simple "hello" note card...

I used Doodle Pantry's Asian Plants.  The sentiment (sorry it's almost hid with my watermark!!) is Just Rite Greetings From London.  My DP was scraps.   The image was cut and embossed with Spellbinders Petite Ovals.

Christmas in the heart - TMS #349

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  I've got a Christmas card this week...

My card is actually the second one I created for this week's challenge.  The first one was great in my mind, but in reality... it FAILED!  So it got torn apart.  Maybe it didn't work because all I could think about was the fact that I had just finished off my bag of Chicken Bone Bites. :(  My parents brought them to me and I tried to make them last as long as possible, but now they are all gone.  If you haven't been to the Maritimes, you may not even know what I'm talking about.  They are a cinnamon candy filled with chocolate!!!!!  Sooooooo good!!  Ganong is the original and the best!  See?

That had nothing to do with my card, but I really am sad they're gone and just wanted to whine a little.  Now back to reality...

The DP all had silver through it... it's very pretty IRL!!

My DP is Prima Epiphany and embossed with the Paper Studio "Intricate Swirl" EF.  The narrow band is embossed with the Paper Studio "Woodgrain."  My image and sentiment are FTHS Time to Bloom colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  They are cut out with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A.  My ribbon is a scrap.

Cherishing the memories

My second post of the day is a sympathy card.  Sadly, I've needed several of these recently.  

This showcases one of my favorite Doodle Pantry images... Calla Lilies from Lily Collection.  I absolutely LOVE calla lilies!!!  The sentiment is from Sweet Sympathy Sentiments.   My DP is Prima Epiphany.  I used Spellbinders Petite Ovals and Ribbon Banners.  Both cuts are inked with TH tea dye.  A bit of ribbon from my scrap box and brown adhesive pearls finished it off.

Today, Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Stamp Art Papel's challenge with the theme of "anything goes."  It's been so crazy lately that I didn't get my card done soon enough to make it in the DP post on the blog. :(

Chicken soup - TMS #348

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!   Do you like chicken soup when you're not feeling well?  I've got some for you today... figuratively, anyway. 

For my card, I used Just Rite Chicken Soup Labels Four cling stamp and colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers.  It's cut out using Spellbinders Labels Four and inked with TH tea dye.  The DP is MME Dolled Up.  I've got Michaels Celebrate It burlap ribbon, a Buttons Galore and More button, and twine from my stash.

Seek the Lord...

It's April, right?  Yep, that's what the calendar says.  If you visit my blog much at all, you know that I LOVE snow and that I was not happy this winter because we got almost none! :'( 
Now that it's April, we finally got some snow!  I think we got more this weekend than we had all winter long!  Half of it is melted already, but it sure was nice while it lasted!  See?

But since it's spring, I'll move on...


I love to make note cards with a Scripture sentiment.  They are so versatile and can be used as a simple note card, an an "I'm praying for you" card, or maybe a sympathy card.   Here is one I just made...

My DP is MME Indie Chic, and the back piece is embossed with Darice Cherry Blossom EF.  My sentiment is free word art from Word Art Wednesday a couple of weeks ago.   The pink frame is cut with Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Rectangles.  My sparkly, swirly brads are Recollections.

My DP is  AC Let It Snow.  I love that I could use the sentiment on it as my sentiment!!  It is embossed with Darice Dot EF.  My ribbon is Ribbon Boutique, and the snowflake brad is from stash.   My sentiment is Christmas Pixy Two from A Day For Daisies... our sponsor for this week!!! I've got a get well card to share today...

It was pretty quick and simple to put together.  Then, of course, I realize I had mismeasured, so it wasn't the proper size for the card base. :/  I didn't want to mess it up by pulling it apart, so I left it.
The colored image is Doodle Pantry's Mini Rose Pot Color Plus and the sentiment is from Boo-boo Birdie & Ants.  These were cut using Spellbinders Circles and Petite Ovals.  The DP is Prima Something Blue.

Sending a hello - TMS #344

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!   Today, I've got a cute (IMHO) card for you...

My image is First Class Post from Di's Digis, colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  It is cut out using Spellbinders Labels Small.  The edges are inked with TH walnut stain.  The DP is Prima Epiphany, and the clear sentiment is TPC Studio.  It's hard to see in the pic, but it's stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and heat embossed with Stampabilities Iridescent embossing powder.  It's cut out with Spellbinders Petite Ovals and Petite Scalloped Ovals.

Here's my I've-almost-done-it-enough-to-make-it-a-tradition Sunday evening post... ;)

I've had this image colored for a few weeks and I found it while looking for another image I needed for a DT post.  [Cleaning my desk bring many things to light! ;) ]  This is FTHS's Care and Comfort.  It's colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  I cut the banner free hand.  My DP is Prima Madeline.  The butterfly is from a Sizzzix stamp and die set.  It's heat embossed with Ranger Brown Embossing Puffs.

Here's my card for this week...   (This tealish blue is so hard to photograph accurately!)   This is for a very special person, but I can't tell you who because I'm not sure if she visits my blog or not. 

My sentiment is a freebie from 613 Avenue Create.  It's cut with Spellbinders Circles and Scalloped Circles.  My paper is MME All Dolled Up.  It was distressed with my Distrezz-It-All and inked with TH walnut stain.  The flower is Prima and I inked it slightly, too.

Feels like spring...

Sadly, it does feel like spring, but I still have this sign hanging on my door...
 

Somehow I don't think it's gonna happen this year.  So sad!!!   I do like spring, but we never really had a winter!!   [Excuse my whining.]  Here's my card...

My image and sentiment are FTHS Digging Dog.  My doggie is colored with my Spectrum Noir markers.  My green cardstock is embossed with Sizzix Roses.  My DP is MME Dolled Up.   The faux stitching is from a We R Memory Keepers Sew Stamper.  My bit of natural ribbon is attached with a fancy staple... I used my Fastenater.  I don't think I've used that in a few years!!  {One of those... "Oooh!  I want that!" - gets used a few times - sits for months!}

Verse card

Right now I have of several friends who could use an encouraging card like this one, so I probably should make several more.  This is such a wonderful promise of God!!

My DP is from Prima Stationer's Desk.  I embossed it with Sizzix Roses, and inked the edges with TH tea dye.  My doily is Recollections.  I inked the edges of it a bit, too.  My sentiment is the free word art from Word Art Wednesday, and it's cut out with Spellbinders Labels 3 and inked with TH antique linen.  My flower is a couple of upcycled silk flowers and the edges are inked with TH tea dye.  Can't remember where the antique brad is from.  The greenery is Spellbinders Foliage.  My chevron ribbon is the Paper Studio.
