Jingle all the way - TMS #324
Happy Tuesday to you! It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!
I've got 2 cards to show you today. Actually, I've got 2 pics but just one card. I made the card, took a pic, then realized I had not colored the tiny bits of my image. I'm showing you both because I'm not sure, but I think I like the uncolored almost better than the colored. Which do you like better?
The "before I remembered to color it" version...
The "after" version...
I think the reason I like the "before" better is because the red almost seems to clash with the muted tones of everything else. The DP is fancy pants "winterland" and embossed with Darice "Snowflake Swirl." The edges are inked with TH antique linen. The snowflake die is Sweet 'n Sassy and the snowflake brad is Paper Studio. My image is from "Christmas Sentiments" from All Dressed Up... our sponsor for this week. You could win 2 images of your choice!
Here's our awesome sketch by Melissa!! I love this one and will definitely be using it again and again! This is one of those that can be pretty CAS or it can be embellished like crazy! :)
Challenges...
'Tis the Season TTS53 - inspiration photo (I was inspired by the snow - embossed snowflakes)

Debbie, this is spectacular. I love the embossing and your inking of the edges brings this design right into perfection.
hugs,
Teresa
Wonderful card! I love the snow and swirls, they are the perfect backdrop for your sentiment. Both cards are great but I do agree with you, I think the first card stays more streamlined by leaving the images uncolored.
Thanks so much for playing along with us at 'Tis The Season!
This is such a beautiful card, Debbie! I love the background..it's just makes the card. I think both cards are great, but I have to agree with you that I like the first one just a little better. Maybe because it gives it a monochromatic look and I love that look. :) Thanks for sharing with us at 'Tis the Season.

Such a pretty card! So eye catching and so many elements that I kept finding detail after detail. I can't decide which one I like better, they are both great!! Thanks for playing at TTS!
What a lovely interpretation of the sketch and I love your pretty card. I think I like the coloured sample best but I do see what you mean about the simplicity of the first one!
Thanks for sharing with us at Christmas Card Challenge.
Beautiful! I love the embossing and the monotone!
Beautiful card!! The background is awesome. I think I am partial to the uncolored version, it's a tad more elegant that way.
Beautiful card, I love the fun sentiment and the pretty embossed background.
Beautiful card, thanks for sharing it with us in Brown Sugar Challenge, Karen DT
Wonderful Christmas card Debbie! Love the embossed background and the cute snowflake embellishments! Fun sentiment, love how you colored all the little elements!
Either version (colored vs not colored) is absolutely lovely!
