Happy Tuesday to you! It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches! This challenge will run for 2 weeks and we are collaborating with Double Trouble again! We are joining them for Challenge #154 - "Keep Calm and Stitch On" Their challenge runs from Mon, Nov 20 - Sun, Dec 3. Ours starts today, Nov 21, and runs until Dec 3, too.
Let me show you my card, then I'll explain...
My paper is Recollections Christmas Plaids. The background panel is red cardstock cut with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics and dry embossed with Darice Crackle. My image and sentiment are from Peachy Keen Stamps (Nov 2013 release... 10 years old!!) and colored with Copics. It's cut out with CottageCutz Double Stitched Ovals. So I have stitching is on my image and my die.
Be sure to visit Double Trouble to see all the details of their challenge, too.
I'm going to enter my card in these challenges...

Love that embossing background. Your plaid papers are a perfect setting for the stocking.
Perfect sentiment and stitched frame for your background variety of patterned papers and embossing... And aside from your fun Christmas card, love your blog title too. Don't forget to enter your card in our challenge at Double Trouble as you would automatically be eligible for three chances at our random draw. We would welcome you to Double Trouble and hope that you will join us for this and future fun challenges... Hope to see you there. https://doubletroublechallenge.blogspot.com/2023/11/Challenge-154.html
Debbie, love all the wonderful stitching detail you have on your card! OMG, I have that same Darice embossing folder, but I've hardly used it... your great background shows how shortsighted I've been!! Thank you for partnering with us at Double Trouble, and sharing your creativity as well!!! -Donna
I really like the way you made the sketch your own. Lovely card. So glad you joined us at Die Cut Divas for our November challenge.
Awww - this is such a sweet card. I love that little stocking and your stitched mat. And there is nothing better than a great shade of red, unless there are 3 shades of red.
Great card, Debbie! I love seeing plaid on winter and holiday cards and what an interesting texture with that embossing folder. Lovely. Thank you for playing along with us at Double Trouble #154. - Melanie R.
