Aged to perfection - TMS #565

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  

Today I've got 2 cards to show you.  I made the first one, wasn't really happy with it, made the second one, and then decided I liked the first one better.  LOL

My DP is MME Portobello Road.  My image and sentiment are The Project Bin Classic Man.  I stamped them with VersaFine Onyx Black and heat embossed them.  ((I know it looks like I didn't stamp the car very well, but that's the refection on the heat embossing.))  The image is cut with Spellbinders Labels One.  I partially cut a circle then finished with Spellbinders Labels One for my frame.  The back panel is embossed with Spelbinders Maze EF.  I inked the edges to give a bit more dimension, and the ribbon is from my stash.

My DP is Pebbles Birthday Wishes.  My image and sentiment are LOTV Far Away Friends.  I colored this cutie with Spectrum Noir markers.  It's cut with Spellbinders Classic Squares and the frame is a Recollections tag trimmed to size.  The ribbon and crinkly ribbon are from my stash.

Snowflake Christmas - TMS #564

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This week's sketch is awesome and one of those that can be 1 layer, CAS, or layered and embellished to your heart's content!  We hope you have fun with it!  

I went for the simple look...

I dry embossed a scrap of red cardstock with CB Swiss Dots.  My snowflakes are all punched.  The large is an EKSuccess punch, and the small is a MS punch.  The paper is from my scrap box and has swirly glittery flourishes on it as you can see below.   My sentiment is from Raisin Boat Formal Phrases and is cut out with Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banners.  

I love this paper!  It's Making Memories Slice specialty paper (so that tells you how old it is!) and cuts like a dream on my Cricut.  I got a pack of it a few yrs ago and only have one full sheet and a few scraps left.  So sad!

Hibiscus thank you - TMS #563

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!   

My card this week features the hibiscus stamp and die set that I used a couple of times in May.  I love it!!!  And today, I've got pics of my own hibiscus to show you!

Here's my card...

My DP is Simple Stories Simple Vintage Botanicals.  My image is Sunny Studios Hawaiian Hibiscus stamp and die set.  It's framed with a Kraft circle cut with Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Circles and embossed with Die-versions Stitched Circles.  My image is stamped with Catherine Pooler ink that I just bought myself using a gift card in my purse that I had forgotten about!  :)  And I love It!  The leaves are stamped with Hampton Arts inks.  The "thank you" sentiment is from Raisin Boat Marvelous Mom and cut out with Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banners.

Happy Birthday TMS - TMS #562

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Today is Tuesday Morning Sketches 11th birthday!  I've been a part of the team for 8 yrs.  :)  
We often celebrate how many years we've been going, but today, July 7, is the actual "birthday"!!  So, of course, I had to make a birthday card!! :)  (And our sketch is special today, too!!!)  

To celebrate, we've got 6 prizes up for grabs this week!!  We do have some rules, so please check out the TMS blog post for details.  *There's a prize just for Canadian participants, too!

My DP is Pebble Birthday Wishes.  My candles and sentiment are Sunny Studios Heartfelt Wishes.  The sentiment is cut using Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banners. The flowers are from my stash.

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I've been sending a lot more snail mail recently, so I'm trying to make my cards with a purpose in mind rather than just a generic "I probably would send this to someone some day."   This is a card with purpose...

My DP is MME Portobello Road 6x6.  (I have this in 12x12, too, but I love it in smaller design.)  My sentiment is from my stack of printed-and-ready so I can't remember sepcifics, sorry.  My flower is Technique Tuesday Cosmos Flower.  Adhesive dots finished it off.

I put my Cuttlebug to good use on this card! :)  I made a card base with Kraft.  I dry embossed the main panel with Darice Dot Background.  The center panel is embossed with CD Swiss Dots.  The decorative edge is MFT Die-namics Banner Strip.   My flowers are TH Small Tattered Florals.  My clear sentiment is from Raisin Boat "You Said It!" cut out with Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banners.

My DP is MME My Heritage.  I used MFT Die-Namics Stitched Ric Rac die for the tied element.  I fussy cut a flower from the paper rather than the bow.  My sentiment is TH cut with a fishtail from Spellbinders Lacey Pennants, and adhesive dots finished it off.

I made a top-fold A2 card from Kraft.  My DP is "Simple Vintage Botanicals" from Simple Stories.  I cut my squares with Spellbinders Classic Squares.  My clear sentiment is Raisin Boat "Flourishing Thoughts," stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black, and cut out with a fishtail banner from Spellbinders Lacey Pennants.

We jingle all the way - SCC #113

It's the first of the month, so it's time for Sparkles Christmas Challenge #113!  This month's challenge theme is "Christmas Bells."  

Here is my card "with bells on." :)

My paper is Recollections "Winter Frost."  My sentiment and little jingle bells are from Sum More Fun's Tangled Tinsel.  I stamped the bells and "colored" them with Silver Liquid Pearls.  The main panel and sentiment panel were cut with Kat Scrappiness Wonky Stitched Rectangles.  I had a piece of  silver paper that was already embossed with CB D'vine Swirl in my scrap box, so I used it for the extra circles. All the circles were cut with Die-Versions Stitched circles.

Floral thank you

Happy Friday to you!!  I needed to make some design team cards, but then I just wanted to make one for fun!  I looked at Paper Playful and found a few challenges to inspire me. :)   Here's what I came up with...

I had stamped a few of these flowers and leaves earlier this week and wanted to use one.  This is Sunny Studio Hawaiian Hibiscus stamps and dies stamped with Hampton Arts coordinating inks.  My paper is Simple Vintage Botanicals from Simple Stories.  The "Thank You" stamp was a freebie I got in an order long, long ago.

Hello - TMS #556

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This week, I've got another simple greeting card.  

I found the box with my embossing folders, so I have texture rather than patterned paper.  This is Darice Crinkle.  The sentiment (Die-versions Curly Word Hello) was already cut in another box.  The baker's twine and adhesive dots are from my stash.  I had a gift card, so I just got the flower... Sunny Stamps Hawaiian Hibiscus stamp and die set stamped using Hampton Arts shades of pink.  I LOVE IT!!  I love hibiscus and have been wanting a stamp like this for awhile, and I really like this one because it was not too hard to get right.  I have a couple of other layering stamps that are almost impossible to layer correctly. :/

I'm not sure how the card looks on your device because while it looks great on my iPhone, it looks dull on my laptop.  I can assure you it is soooo pretty IRL!!! 

Side note... several years ago, I had a hibiscus plant that was absolutely gorgeous!  My cats didn't even try to eat it like they had all other plants.  I enjoyed it until one day, one of them  knocked it over and it broke.  I mean it broke!  Completely sheered off at the root!  Grrrrr!   So now I just create my own. :)

Hi friend - TMS #555

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  

I'm trying to send more cards out for a couple of reasons... we moved recently, but also I know that at this time of staying in, it's so nice to get personal mail!  Basic note cards is probably my favorite type of card to make.  

My paper is Bo Bunny Early Bird Collection.  The banner is cut from various scrap papers using Die-Namics Banner Strip Die.  My flower is Sizzix Small Tattered Florals.  My sentiment is Raisin Boat.  Since I missed the dot elements (see sketch below), I'm just going to say it was intentional and that my flowers are the dots. LOL :)

Life has been crazy, so today I got out the few craft supplies I have access to and made a card.  It felt good. :)

My paper is Bo Bunny Early Bird Collection and DCWV Paste; Patterns Mat Stack.  I used Spellbinders Standard Circles to frame the Doodlebug Design sticker.  My sentiment is from Memory Box "Each Day is a Blessing."  Depending on your screen, this may look pale and boring, but it is really cute IRL.

This paper is Pebbles Family Ties.  My sentiment and chipboard butterfly are both Heidi Swapp.

Snowflake wreath - SCC #112

Spring has finally arrived in my area, but I'm always in Christmas mode for Sparkles Christmas Challenge!  This month -- #112 -- had the theme of "use ribbon, lace, or twine."   I used baker's twine.

My paper is scraps.  The main panel is embossed with Darice Brick EF.  My snowflake is made using clear snowflake stamps from 3 different Raisin Boat sets and 3 different inks.  (Didn't write this all down as I was doing it, so can't remember.)  I used my Gina K Mini Wreath Builder to make it.  My sentiment is from SSS Build a Snowman.  The twine is Holiday Cheer from Joann.

Here's a close up of the wreath... I can't wait to try more of my small stamps to make more of these!  Very cool!
