 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This was a fun card to make!  I made it for my husband, and it made its way to his desk this morning along with a couple of donuts. :)  

My paper is DCWV Pastel Patterns Mat Stack.  My image and sentiment are Honey Bee Stamps Love You S'More.  The main donut and sentiment are stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black, clear heat embossed, and colored with my Spectrum Noir markers.  The donuts on the BG are stamped with Hero Arts Soft Granite.

 Good morning!  It's time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!!  Our theme is "shades of blue"!  I have to tell you that I seldom use blue for girl cards, but I think I made it work...

This is very simple, but still pretty, IMHO ;)  

My paper is from Pebbles Family Ties.  The flower is The Ton Peony Memories Cardmaking layered stamps.  It's stamped with Pinkfresh Studio Morning Sky and Over the Hills ink sets.  The sentiment is Poppystamps Playful Thank You.

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I've got a fun birthday card for you...

My image is Digi Doodle Special Delivery.  If you visit my blog regularly, you know I often use a printed-and-waiting digital image because when I would print digital stamps, I usually made multiples to have on hand (or in case I'd mess up).  But let me tell you just how OLD this one is!  Click HERE to see when I used this image first... and most likely printed the one on today's card.  Yeah... 2012!  Ten. Years. Ago.  

My paper is MME Portobello Road cut out with Kat Scrappiness Wonky Wavy Stitched Rectangles.  My image is cut out with Die-versions Stitched Circles.  My sentiment is Sweet n Sassy Birthday Greetings and cut out with CottageCutz Stitched Rectangles.  The banners are Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banners.

Smiles across the miles

 This card I just made for fun (and to enter into a few challenges).  I have to say it was VERY fun to make!!  I saw this die set months ago and wanted it, but it was out of my budget at the time.  A couple of weeks ago, I was in Hobby Lobby, and they had quite a few dies with sale stickers.  This was one of them.  I was very excited!!  I bought it then went looking for the coordinating stamp set.  I found it (It was on sale, too!!), and voilà... my card...

I created the BG with Paper Rose Abstract Trees stencil and TH stormy sky Distress Oxide Ink and TH peeled paint Distress Ink.  The car die that I was so happy to find is Spellbinders Sunday Drive.  Both sentiments are from Sunday Drive All-Occasion Sentiments.  "Miss you" is cut out with Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banners.  Both were stamped and heat embossed.

t's time for a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!!   Our theme is "baby girl" so I made a shower card.  The church we now attend is larger than our last, so lots of babies!  It's good to have cards like this on hand...

My DP is AC My Baby.  Both panels are cut with Kat Scrappiness Wonky Wavy Stitched Rectangles.  The onesies are Memory Box Baby Clothes.  The large letters are from an unbranded set, and the "girl" is from Pebbles New Addition.

CAS Christmas - SCC #140

 Hello!  It's the 1st and time for another challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge!! As you may have guessed, our theme for this month is "clean and simple."  I have to admit that CAS is not my forte, but I tried, and I'd love to see you try, too!

My trees are from Raisin Boat "Nature's Reflection" and stamped with Hero Arts Lime to Forever Green Ombre ink.  I used my VersaMark pen on the trees and clear heat embossed for some shine and texture.  (See below.)  "Merry" is Pink and Main Christmas Script and "Christmas" is from a "Happy Christmas" die freebie that I got in an order long ago.  I cut them both 3 times in 110 lbs cover stock and glued the layers for some dimension.  

Time is flying, so create a Christmas card and share it with us at Sparkles Christmas Challenge!

Wedding day wishes - TMS #673

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This week I've got a wedding card to share.  I tend to struggle with wedding cards, but I am happy with how this one turned out.  Take a look...

This was just white cardstock.  I dry embossed the bottom half with the Paper Studio Script.  The flowers are The Ton Peony Memories Cardmaking.  "Best wishes" is from Sunny Studio Heartfelt Wishes.  "on your wedding day" is from Papertrey Ink Wedding Stamp Set.  The ribbon is from my stash, and I added some Liquid Pearls to finish it off.

Butterfly birthday - C4G #180

 Welcome!  Today is another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Our theme for this challenge is "use 3 of anything." I've got 3 (and many more on the BG) butterflies...

My paper is Simple Stories "Simple Vintage Botanicals" and I cut it with Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes.  My sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy Birthday Greetings. The butterflies were on the paper and I cut them with a butterfly die from that is part of Uchi's Design Animation Card set from American Crafts.  I have yet to figure out how to make the animation card but I use the butterfly and banner dies from the set. :)

Hello - C4G #179

 Hi!  It's time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!!  Our theme is "check it out" so we want to see your checks or plaids.

You can check out the plaid I created... ;)

My plaid was created with DRS Designs "Woven Plaid" rubber stamp and Pinkfresh Studio "Sunshine" ink.  I inked the edges with Hero Arts Navy.  My flowers are The Ton "Peony Memories" Cardmaking layered stamp and die set.  My sentiment is from Raisin Boat "Flourishing Thoughts" and cut out with Spellbinders Lacy Pennants.  I added a few adhesive dots to finish it off.  (Though I'm not as happy with them as I thought I'd be. Oh well, too late now!)

Lifting you up - TMS #670

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Here's my card...

This was pretty quick and easy to put together.  The image is a colored digi stamp from Love Lifts You from Imagine That! Digis by Kris (which is sadly closed) and was in my printed-and-waiting-to-be-used box.  It was cut out with CottageCutz Double Stitched Ovals.  I try to be very careful with my crafting budget, but I have actually bought a few new things recently and felt justified because I am using up my stash that has been sitting around waiting.  This card is all stash. :)

The BG panel was created with DRS Designs Woven Plaid.  I made it for another card and wasn't happy with it (the angle of the plaid is off), so it's been sitting on my desk.  After seeing it several times and wondering why I hadn't used it, I realized that the problem probably wasn't noticeable unless I would draw attention to it.  Which I obviously just did. LOL

A small piece of green cardstock dry embossed with Darice Dots BG and some baker's twine from my stash, and it was done.

Glory to God - TMS #669

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I made a Christmas card. for this week's challenge.  I'm hoping to actually send out cards this year to more than just my immediate family, so I need to get creating! 

My paper is Scrapbook Customs Christmas Watercolor Collection.  I trimmed down a Recollections Kraft tag to get the shape and size I wanted and inked the edges.  My sentiment and image are from CTMH Glory to God.  The ribbon is from my stash.  I used a Sweet N Sassy Stamps star die and cut a couple of stars.  I glued them together  to give the star some stability and a bit of dimension, then I swiped it with VersaMark, and heat embossed it with Martha Stewart gold EP.

Have a very Merry Christmas - SCC #139

This year is flying by!  How can it be August 1 already??!??  That means it's time for Sparkles Christmas Challenge #139!  This month our theme is "sentiment as the focus." 

My paper is the Paper Studio Pine St Square.  My sentiment is Colorado Craft Co Merry Everything and is heat embossed with MS embossing powder.   It's cut out with CottageCutz Stitched Rectangles and inked on the edge before removing it from the die.  The flower is from my stash, and the leaves are Poppystamps Orchard Leaves.

Reading is dreaming... - C4G #177

 It is time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Our theme is "get inky!"   Here's my inky card...

Using VersaMark, I stamped a white piece of cardstock with Hero Arts Alphabet BG stamp and clear heat embossed it.  Then I lightly inked it with Catherine Pooler All That Jazz, Limoncello, and Be Mine.  My image and sentiment are Altenew Tall Tale stamp and die set.  I colored this cute little reader with Spectrum Noir markers.  The sentiment is stamped with VersaClair, clear heat embossed, and cut with CottageCutz Stitched Rectangles. I added a few sequins because it just felt like it needed a little bit of something.
