 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!

My ornaments and sentiment are Raisin Boat Holiday Hang Ups, stamped with VersaMark, and heat embossed with Martha Stewart embossing powder.  After cutting the panel out with Stitched Scalloped Rectangles, I sprayed it with Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz.

Sending holiday wishes - SCC #155

It's the month of Christmas!!!   24 days! :)   

It's time for our challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge!  Our theme is "animals or birds."  I've got a cute little deer for you...

My image is a colored digi from my stash.  I have multiples of this image printed, but cannot remember where it came from.  (My old laptop that had all my digis died last year!)   My snow globe is Darice Snow Globe.  I used Ranger Ultra Thick embossing powder to give the look of glass. My paper is Echo Park Christmas. 

Here's a closeup... probably should have done one more layer of VersaMark and embossing powder, but it is very pretty IRL.

Homespun Holidays - TMS #734

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This challenge will run for 2 weeks and we are collaborating with Double Trouble again!  We are joining them for Challenge #154 - "Keep Calm and Stitch On"   Their challenge runs from Mon, Nov 20 - Sun, Dec 3.  Ours starts today, Nov 21, and runs until Dec 3, too. 

Let me show you my card, then I'll explain...

My paper is Recollections Christmas Plaids.  The background panel is red cardstock cut with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics and dry embossed with Darice Crackle.  My image and sentiment are from Peachy Keen Stamps (Nov 2013 release... 10 years old!!) and colored with Copics.   It's cut out with CottageCutz Double Stitched Ovals.  So I have stitching is on my image and my die.

Embossed birthday - C4G #212

It's time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  I've got a fun birthday card to share for this challenge and our theme of "embossing - wet or dry."  If you have followed me for any time at all, you probably know that my all-time favorite technique is dry embossing, so that's what I did for my background.  I actually heat embossed my sentiment, so I technically did both types. :)  Here's my card...

I embossed the card front with Sizzix Cloudy Day.  The hills are Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes.  I created the sunflowers with TH Small Tattered Flowers.  (Not sure what I used for the center.)  The fence is Poppystamps Pointy Picket Double Gate (only used half), and I stamped it with Honey Bee Stamps Barn Wood Background for texture.  My sentiment is Sweet n Sassy Stamps Pennant Party.

Happy birthday - TMS #732

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Today, I'm sharing my hubby's birthday card.  Shhh!  His birthday isn't until Friday. ;) 

It's technically not for his birthday, but my hubby (and me, too) is getting a new car this week.  Last week, our daughter who is a teacher was on her way to school.  She was driving our car for a couple of reasons.  At 6:30, it's still dark around here, and a big buck jumped out of the ditch in front of her. We're soooooo thankful she was in our car which is much larger than what she normally would have been driving, so she was not hurt, PTL!!  But... the car was totaled. :/  We did find a car just yesterday, so we're happy. :) 

The frame  is Spellbinders Postage Stamps.  My paper is We R Memory Keepers Sunsplashed.  The car is from The Project Bin Classic Man.  The ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment is Sweet n Sassy Stamps Script Sentiments.

I chose to make a fun thank you card...

My thank you is a Simon Says Stamp Thank You Cover Plate.  I embossed it with CB Swiss Dots EF and layered it on a plaid piece of paper that was on my desk.  The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.

merry Christmas - SCC #154

It's November!!  Less than 2 months to get those Christmas cards made and sent, so why not come and play along at Sparkles Christmas Challenge?  Our theme this month is "Christmas stockings" so get busy and show us your stockings. :) 

My paper is Crate Paper Snow and Cocoa.  My image and sentiment are stickers from the Paper Studio Happy Hootin' Holidays 12 x 12 scrapbook kit.  The ovals are cut with CottageCutz Double Stitched Ovals.  The baker's twine is from my stash.  Easy peasy! ;)

Love & appreciation - TMS #731

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Today is the last day of October, but October is Pastor Appreciation Month, so I made this card for our pastor and his family.  (A pastor's wife and family are a huge part of his ministry and need appreciation, too!) 

My DP is Pebbles Warm & Cozy.  I stamped the background panel of Honey Bee Stamps Barn Wood Background with VersaMark and clear embossing powder and heat embossed.  Then I inked it with TH Antique Linen.  (The barn boards seemed to fit the three strips on the sketch.)  My image is from Doodle Pantry (digi shop long closed) that I had in my stash.  The sentiment was in my "extra" box and, sorry, I didn't bother to search for where it's from. :P

 Hello!  Today, I've got my card for our next challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Our theme is "dogs or puppies."  Here's my little canine...

My cute little doggie is from Fred, She Said Winter Westie.  My DP is Heidi Grace Daydream.  My sentiment is Honey Bee Stamps Framed Anemones.  I cut the image and sentiment with Die-versions Stitched Circles.  The bow is a piece of ribbon from my stash.

GORGEOUS poinsettia background card - SCC #153

Hello!  I'm soooooo late this month with my card for Sparkles Christmas Challenge!!  I had a very busy time and thought I had all my design team cards ready.  Oops!!  So only 2-1/2 weeks late, here's my card for our "Christmas Flower/Foliage" theme.

The "GORGEOUS" title might seem a little prideful, but it's not my ability, it's the technique as you'll see...

I saw this card (click there or HERE) which led me to this video (click there or HERE) and I fell in love with this technique and had to try it.  I have the world's cheapest foil that tears and is absolutely uesless in the kitchen, but was great here.  I inked it with some Bree Reese alcohol inks that I got at Tuesday Morning before it closed. :(  I embossed it with Spellbinders Scenic Poinsettias 3D EF.  My sentiment is Pink & Main Christmas Script Merry Christmas.

Polka dot birthday - C4G #209

 Happy Thursday to you!! It's time for a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Our theme for this challenge is "green and cream."

I used AC Basics polka dot paper, Tonic Studios Champagne cardstock, flower from Sizzix/Hero Arts Butterflies #3 stamped with Memento Pear Tart, a bit of baker's twine from my stash, and happy birthday from Spellbinders Yana's Layered Script Sentiments.  The flower is layered on 2 cuts of 110 lb black cardstock to give it some dimension.

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Here's my card for this week's challenge...

This was fun to make!  I was checking out Tonic Studios after Melissa has had so many amazing cards from her kits from their shop.  I did get a few things. ;)  One was the Sewing Kit Patchwork Die Set.  I wrapped some very old embroidery floss around the spool and through the needle.  The "sew sweet" sentiment is from Neat & Tangled Crafting is My Jam and the Thank You got separated from its set, so no idea there.  My DP is Bo Bunny Early Bird.  I cut the sentiment with CottageCutz Double Stitched Ovals.  The decorative strips are MFT Stitched Ric Rac.

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I've got a pretty simple birthday card to share this week...

I used a couple of scraps of Heidi Grace Daydream DP.  My banner is CC Designs Corner Banner die.   My image is DRS Designs Dogwood Branch and the sentiment is DRS Designs Small One Line Happy Birthday.  I colored 2 images and fussy cut the larger flowers (and yes, I know dogwoods are not blue!) and layered them to give a little dimension.

It's time again for a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  This time we've got a "recipe" for you... a stencil, a sentiment, and an image.  Pretty easy recipe. :) 

Here's my card with a stencil, sentiment, and image...

My stencil was the first stencil I ever bought... it's from a set that was actually meant for cookies, but it's never been in my kitchen! ;)  I inked it with TH peeled paint.  My image is Hero Arts Mum Stem stamp and die set.  Colored with my Spectrum Noir markers.  My sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy Stamps Birthday Greetings. 

As you can see from my card, you can use anything for a stencil. :)  Come play along with us at Cardz 4 Galz!

Warm thoughts - TMS #725

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  We're only 4 days from official fall!!  I love winter, but fall has to come first, so I'm always happy for fall. ;) 

Cardstock and ink and dies and embossing folders all came together to make this card.   I inked Darice Fall Leaves Background EF with TH peeled paint then embossed a Kraft panel.  My pumkins are made using a technique I learned from our fearless TMS leader, Melissa.  It's 3 ovals put together to make the pumpkins.  I embossed the ovals with Sizzix Eileen Hull 3D Sweater EF.  (I got the idea from pumpkins at Walmart that looked like a knitted sweater.  They would be destroyed too quickly by my cat or I'd have bought a couple.  They were so cute!!) My leaves are leftover Poppystamps Orchard Leaves I had cut when making last week's card.  My sentiment is from Spellbinders Warm and Cozy Medallion Labels and cut out with a stitched banner.   It turned out a little busier than I wished, but it is pretty IRL!

 Good morning!  It's time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Since fall is just around the corner, we want to see leaves!   Here are my leaves on my very CAS card...

My leaves are cut from 3 colors of the Paper Studio cardstock using Spellbinders Orchard Harvest Tags and Accents.  I added a bow from twine in my stash.  The sentiment is Poppystamps Playful Thank You.  I cut 3 layers to give it some dimension.  Easy peasy!

Snowman greetings - SCC #152

 Another new month and another new challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge!  This month, we like you to "Build Me a Snowman"!   (I really hope we get enough snow where I live to build a snowman this winter!!)  

I embossed a panel with Darice Snowflake Swirl.  I cut a "hill" with Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes and colored the edge.  My snowman is Simon Says Stamp Build a Snowman.  The sentiment was ready and waiting in my extra box.  The plaid frame and scarf are Recollections Christmas Plaid. 

Fall is almost here.  Then comes the Christmas season, so come play along, build a snowman, and join us at Sparkles Christmas Challenge!

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I've got a fun birthday card to share this week.  A friend just turned 50, so I used my Scrabble stickers and created this card for her...

My paper is Papertrey Ink Dotty Boscotti and cut out with an unbranded pierced circles.  I honestly can't remember where I got the Scrabble stickers. The other sentiment is computer generated and cut with Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banners.  My flowers are Prima flowers, a MS punch for the branches, and adhesive dots for the centers.

Hello!  I missed the last C4G challenge because my son was getting married, and I had not planned far enough in advance to get all my design team cards made. :/  But the wedding was wonderful!! 

It's again time for a Cardz 4 Galz challenge, and our theme is "cute animals or insects."  Here are my cuties...

My image is a digi stamp that was filed under Beccy's Place images though I could not find it on the current site.  I cut it out with Spellbinders Postage Stamps and layered it on 2 layers of black 110lb cardstock for some dimension without actually framing it.  I cut out many pink and gray hellos to create the hello background after seeing this blog post HERE.

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I've got a card that could be used as a sympathy card or just as a card of encouragement...

It looks gray on my laptop, but the BG panel is actually a cream that matches the flowers in the DP, which was a scrap.  The sentiment was in my box of extras, and sorry, I didn't take time to look through all my sentiments to find where it's from.   I just framed it and added a fussy cut flower.

Magnificent birthday - TMS #720

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  

I missed last week's challenge because my son just got married!!  Lots of prep before the big day, lots of friends and family visiting, and a wonderful, beautiful wedding!  So my son is now married and my house is now empty of company.  It was a beautiful wedding, and the newlyweds are happy in the start of their new life together!   It was so wonderful to have family and friends here, but now they're gone and I'm sad, so I had to make a card that would bring a smile.  This is for a friend with a good sense of humor! ;) 

My sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy Stamps Birthday Greetings.  My DP is the Paper Studio Poetic Postage.  The black panel is embossed with Darice Crackle.  The sentiments were stamped on a scrap from Heidi Grace Daydream.  I colored some adhesive dots to match.

Congratulations on your adoption - TMS #718

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This will be short and sweet as my son is getting married on Saturday!!!  I wasn't sure that I was going to get a card made for this week, but I was able to find a couple of minutes to make this card for some friends whose adoption will be final on Thursday!  What a blessing!  They waited so long for a baby and have made it through the 6 month (plus) waiting period.  

I've had the sentiment ready and waiting for all the months of waiting. :)  It is from Honey Bee Stamps Woodland Babies.  My stitched cow is from Cheapo Dies.  The paper is AC My Baby.

Have a sweet Christmas - SCC #151

 It's August 1 and time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge!  Our theme this month in "Christmas food."  (Though after my card was all together, I did question if a gingerbread house is really food.  :D While some are edible, many taste like eating concrete!  I will tell you that we ate the last one that my daughter made.  We definitely ate all the candy decorations off of it. LOL)

My image and sentiment are from my overfull box of digi images that I printed a few years ago and am still using up!  It's Doodle Pantry, I think.  Both panels are cut with Kat Scrappiness Wonky Wavy Stitched Rectangles. The sentiment is cut with a stitched banner.  I thought it all looked a little too bare, so I added a few red adhesive dots.
