Hello - TMS #650

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Spring officially arrived awhile ago and has shown a few signs of life in my area.  Crocuses and daffodils are blooming... then we got snow! :D  

But I think my card feels like spring even if the weather doesn't. :)

My paper (and my image was just a square cut from the paper) is Simple Stories Simple Vintage Botanicals.  My sentiment is from Hero Arts Color Layering For You Flowers. I stamped it in VersaFine Claire Nocturne and clear heat embossed it. I put a square of fun foam behind the image to give it a little dimension, too.

CAS thank you - TMS #649

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!

Some days I'm not sure what kind of card maker I am.  I love lots of layers and embellishments, but I also love clean and simple.  Most of my creations are somewhere in between, but this one is CAS.  

Pretty simple... the flower is Sunny Studio Hawaiian Hibiscus, the polka dot DP is from my scrap box cut out with Kat Scrappiness Wonky Wavy Stitched Rectangles, and my sentiment is from The Project Bin Just Sayin' cut out with a stitched banner die.

Snowman wishes - TMS #648

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This week we've got a great sketch by Andrea.  Sadly, this is her last week on the DT.  We're so sorry to see her go!  (Click on her name to go give her some love and tell her you'll miss her!)  Andrea, you've been a wonderful teamie and inspiration!!  

Here's my card with her sketch. I've got a cute snowman wishing you a Merry Christmas...

My snowman was in my box of printed digi stamps.  I know he's been waiting awhile because it's been over 2 yrs since I've had a printer that would print cardstock. ;/    He's from Spyder's Other Corner.  I colored him with my Spectrum Noir markers,  The DP frame around him is AC Jolly.  (I cut the frame with fun foam, too, to give a bit of dimension.)  My back panel is embossed with Darice Snowflake Swirl.  My sentiment is from Raisin Boat Formal Phrases and cut out with Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fishtail Banners.

Have a cool Christmas - TMS #647

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Here's my card.  Yes, I'm still making Christmas cards even though I've sent very few the last couple of years.  :) 

My images and sentiment are from MFT Cool Christmas Stamp and Dies.  I colored them with my Spectrum Noir Markers.  The snowflakes in the sky are from Raisin Boat Merry Nature.  Not sure where the paper is from.  I had a few pads with just a few left (that I liked), so I added them to my scrap box. ;)

Merry Christmas - SCC #134

It's the first of March and time for Sparkles Christmas Challenge!!  Our theme this month is "Santa Claus is Coming to Town"!  

I don't often create a card with Santa, so I had to look hard for something to use.  I found a pad with this paper and some matching stickers, so here he is...

My paper is the Paper Studio Happy Hootin' Holidays along with the Santa and sentiment stickers.  My snowflakes are both punches.  I made this slimline to the sentiment would fit with the image.  My slimline dies are Pink & Main.

Welcome baby boy - TMS #646

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  In case you were wondering from the title if there's a baby boy in my future... no, there is not.  No more kids for me, and no grandkids on the way.    

This was a special card to make, though.  Our church connected with a crisis pregnancy center and two of our adult Sunday School classes joined together to have a baby shower for 2 young women who are in difficult circumstances but who chose life for their babies.  I made this card for the young women expecting a boy.  What a blessing to help these young ladies and the new life growing inside them and to see how touched and appreciative they were!  

My paper is AC My Baby (boy version), my sentiment is Pebbles New Addition Boy stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne, and the BG on the sentiment is Neat & Tangled All the Sprinkles stamped with VersaMagic Aegean Blue.  Both were clear heat embossed.  The sentiment was cut out with Die-versions Stitched Circles.

We lose/find ourselves in books - TMS #645

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Here's my card then the story behind it...

I've tried to spend a few hours the last few weekends trying to go through the boxes in my craft room and purge and organize and purge and toss and purge and...! I think you get the idea that I need to purge.  I'm not buying new things because I really do have a stash that could last forever.  But then... I don't remember what email came that showcased Altenew's Tall Tale stamp set, but I could not resist.  I know this will get lots and lots and lots of use, so I could justify the purchase of the stamp and die bundle. LOL  

My paper is Papertrey Ink Postage.  As mentioned, the image and sentiment are from Altenew Tall Tale.  I heat embossed them and colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers. Most of the panels are cut with Kat Scrappiness Wonky Stitched Rectangles.

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  We've had fun revisiting the DT's favorites from 2021, but this week, we're back with all new sketches!  

Here's my card for this week's challenge...

I've not had a lot of extra hours to spend crafting, so I am loving layering stamps.  Much quicker than coloring!  This is Sunny Studios Hawaiian Hibiscus.  The blue circle was created by cutting out a circle from a panel of cardstock, laying it over my card, and sponging through the opening with TH Stormy Sky Distress Oxide ink.  My sentiment is from The Project BIn Just Sayin' and cut out with a stitched fishtail banner.  (It wasn't long enough, so I die cut from the fishtail end, stopped before finishing, moved the die and cut the other end.  This is an easy fix of your die isn't long enough.)

in deepest sympathy - TMS #643

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This week is Tammy's favorite from last year and our last revisit of 2021.  Next week, we'll be back with all new sketches!!

Here's my card...  (Sadly, I've needed several sympathy cards recently.)

I realized that I've used The Ton Peony Memories Cardmaking layered stamp set back to back weeks, but I did stamp several of these awhile ago and my crafting time has been limited, so I use what's handy. :)  (Plus I really LOVE this set!)

My DP is Crate Barrel Bloom, the small fishtail banner is Kat Scrappiness, the large banner is Cheapo Dies, my flowers are from The Ton, and my sentiment is DRS Designs Calla Lily Sympathy Frame.  I taped off most of the stamp, inked it up, removed the tape, and was able to stamp just this portion.

O Holy Night - SCC #133

 Welcome to February! Today begins our "Use some gold" challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge!  I could not find any gold paper is my stash, so I used gold embossing powder...

This piece of paper was in my scrap box.  My image is CTMH Glory to God.  My sentiment is Momenta Christmas Phrases.  They are embossed with gold embossing powder.  It's prettier IRL.

My rose outline die is Die-Namites Rosy Rose.  I cut it 4 times and stacked it for some strength since it's pretty delicate.  My sentiment is from Hero Arts Mum Stem.  My paper is Making Memories Just Chillin'.  The panel behind the rose is embossed with Darice Dot Background.

Jer 29:11 - TMS #639

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This week, we are playing with my favorite sketch from 2021 and here's my card...

This embossed and inked panel has been in my "extra" box for quite awhile, and it caught my attention this week, so I cut it in half for my background.  The sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy Stamps "God's Will."  Jeremiah 29:11 is one of my go-to verses!! It's cut out with Cross Stitched Ovals.  My butterflies are stickers by Crafter's Square.

 Happy New Year to you!!  Wishing you a blessed 2022!   (How can it be 2022 already??!!?)

It's January 1, so it is time for Sparkles Christmas Challenge!!  Our theme for this month is "A Winter Scene."

Here is my winter scene...

 I used a couple of coordinating stamp and die sets for this card.  My church and the sentiment are from Sunny Studios Christmas Chapel.  My trees are MFT Oh Christmas Tree.  The snowy hills are Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes. I blended a bit of gray ink on the edges so the hills would show up better.  My sky is inked and the stars are tiny dots of Liquid Pearls.

Merry Christmas!! - TMS #637

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  First, I want to wish you a...

It's time for our Annual Anything Goes Challenge.  That means anything goes!  No sketch this week.  We want you to share any crafty creation that you'd like to share.   I made some gift tags...

I've had a 12 x 12 pad called "Happy Hootin' Holidays" from the Paper Studio for a few years.  It has a couple of pages of stickers, so I used them along with sentiments from Sweet n Sassy Stamps, Momenta, and Clear Dollar Stamps.  I used a Concord & 9th branch die, some Nuvo drops, a GIna K stencil, and ribbon and twine from my stash.  [I do just have to say, "Grrrrrrr!"  Kraft is hard to get a good pic of! :/ ]

Someone cares - TMS #636

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  

2020 was quite a year.  2021 was not much better in many ways.  God is still good and in control, but it's hard for us to remember that sometimes.  We've had many friends go through tough times, and this is for a friend who recently was diagnosed with cancer. 

This paper was in my scrap box.  It's double sided, so I used both sides.  This wonderful digital sentiment was on a sheet already printed out.  My laptop with all my digital stamps on it died earlier this year, so I'm not sure who this is from.  (Thankfully, I did back up my digis on a USB drive.  Now to find it...!) Everything was cut out with Unbranded Scalloped Stitched Rectangles from Cheapo Dies.  I didn't have any brown adhesive dots, so colored these with my Spectrum Noir markers.

Embossed Christmas - TMS #635

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I'm not sure how many Christmas cards I'll actually mail out this year, but I'm still making them. :)

This is a simple Kraft panel cut with Kat Scrappiness Wonky Stitched Rectangles, a piece from my scrap box embossed with Darice Snowflake Swirl (I LOVE what dry embossing does to patterned paper!), my sentiment is from Raisin Boat Holiday Wishes and cut with Spellbinders Standard Circles, and some baker's twine from my stash finished it off. Easy peasy!

2-for-1 MERRY Christmas - SCC #131

 It's December and Christmas is only 24 days away!!  But today is the start of our December challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenges!  This month our theme is "non-traditional colours."  

I am a very red/green for Christmas kind of girl, but I do like to see the non-traditional, too.  Here's my card...

This panel had been stamped and white heat embossed with trees from MFT Oh Christmas Trees.  I cut out "Merry" and put a silver piece of paper behind.  The "Christmas" is from a "Happy Christmas" die that came free with an order several years ago.  

Then I took the cut out letters and made a second card.  It seemed a bit bare, so I added a few adhesive dots...
