Thanks for your thoughtfulness - TMS #644

Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  We've had fun revisiting the DT's favorites from 2021, but this week, we're back with all new sketches!  

Here's my card for this week's challenge...

I've not had a lot of extra hours to spend crafting, so I am loving layering stamps.  Much quicker than coloring!  This is Sunny Studios Hawaiian Hibiscus.  The blue circle was created by cutting out a circle from a panel of cardstock, laying it over my card, and sponging through the opening with TH Stormy Sky Distress Oxide ink.  My sentiment is from The Project BIn Just Sayin' and cut out with a stitched fishtail banner.  (It wasn't long enough, so I die cut from the fishtail end, stopped before finishing, moved the die and cut the other end.  This is an easy fix of your die isn't long enough.)

in deepest sympathy - TMS #643

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This week is Tammy's favorite from last year and our last revisit of 2021.  Next week, we'll be back with all new sketches!!

Here's my card...  (Sadly, I've needed several sympathy cards recently.)

I realized that I've used The Ton Peony Memories Cardmaking layered stamp set back to back weeks, but I did stamp several of these awhile ago and my crafting time has been limited, so I use what's handy. :)  (Plus I really LOVE this set!)

My DP is Crate Barrel Bloom, the small fishtail banner is Kat Scrappiness, the large banner is Cheapo Dies, my flowers are from The Ton, and my sentiment is DRS Designs Calla Lily Sympathy Frame.  I taped off most of the stamp, inked it up, removed the tape, and was able to stamp just this portion.

 Welcome to February! Today begins our "Use some gold" challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge!  I could not find any gold paper is my stash, so I used gold embossing powder...

This piece of paper was in my scrap box.  My image is CTMH Glory to God.  My sentiment is Momenta Christmas Phrases.  They are embossed with gold embossing powder.  It's prettier IRL.

Simply fabulous - TMS #640

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  And since I know all my followers are fabulous, this card's for you! :)

My rose outline die is Die-Namites Rosy Rose.  I cut it 4 times and stacked it for some strength since it's pretty delicate.  My sentiment is from Hero Arts Mum Stem.  My paper is Making Memories Just Chillin'.  The panel behind the rose is embossed with Darice Dot Background.

Jer 29:11 - TMS #639

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  This week, we are playing with my favorite sketch from 2021 and here's my card...

This embossed and inked panel has been in my "extra" box for quite awhile, and it caught my attention this week, so I cut it in half for my background.  The sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy Stamps "God's Will."  Jeremiah 29:11 is one of my go-to verses!! It's cut out with Cross Stitched Ovals.  My butterflies are stickers by Crafter's Square.

This is a Christmas thank you card.  My image is Technique Tuesday Hello Winter Sweater that is white heat embossed.  My paper is AC Let It Snow and Dovecraft Winter Blooms.  I used MFT Stitched RicRac and CottageCutz Double Stitched Ovals dies and Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Joy to the World - SCC #132

 Happy New Year to you!!  Wishing you a blessed 2022!   (How can it be 2022 already??!!?)

It's January 1, so it is time for Sparkles Christmas Challenge!!  Our theme for this month is "A Winter Scene."

Here is my winter scene...

 I used a couple of coordinating stamp and die sets for this card.  My church and the sentiment are from Sunny Studios Christmas Chapel.  My trees are MFT Oh Christmas Tree.  The snowy hills are Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes. I blended a bit of gray ink on the edges so the hills would show up better.  My sky is inked and the stars are tiny dots of Liquid Pearls.

Merry Christmas!! - TMS #637

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  First, I want to wish you a...

It's time for our Annual Anything Goes Challenge.  That means anything goes!  No sketch this week.  We want you to share any crafty creation that you'd like to share.   I made some gift tags...

I've had a 12 x 12 pad called "Happy Hootin' Holidays" from the Paper Studio for a few years.  It has a couple of pages of stickers, so I used them along with sentiments from Sweet n Sassy Stamps, Momenta, and Clear Dollar Stamps.  I used a Concord & 9th branch die, some Nuvo drops, a GIna K stencil, and ribbon and twine from my stash.  [I do just have to say, "Grrrrrrr!"  Kraft is hard to get a good pic of! :/ ]

Someone cares - TMS #636

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  

2020 was quite a year.  2021 was not much better in many ways.  God is still good and in control, but it's hard for us to remember that sometimes.  We've had many friends go through tough times, and this is for a friend who recently was diagnosed with cancer. 

This paper was in my scrap box.  It's double sided, so I used both sides.  This wonderful digital sentiment was on a sheet already printed out.  My laptop with all my digital stamps on it died earlier this year, so I'm not sure who this is from.  (Thankfully, I did back up my digis on a USB drive.  Now to find it...!) Everything was cut out with Unbranded Scalloped Stitched Rectangles from Cheapo Dies.  I didn't have any brown adhesive dots, so colored these with my Spectrum Noir markers.

Embossed Christmas - TMS #635

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I'm not sure how many Christmas cards I'll actually mail out this year, but I'm still making them. :)

This is a simple Kraft panel cut with Kat Scrappiness Wonky Stitched Rectangles, a piece from my scrap box embossed with Darice Snowflake Swirl (I LOVE what dry embossing does to patterned paper!), my sentiment is from Raisin Boat Holiday Wishes and cut with Spellbinders Standard Circles, and some baker's twine from my stash finished it off. Easy peasy!

2-for-1 MERRY Christmas - SCC #131

 It's December and Christmas is only 24 days away!!  But today is the start of our December challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenges!  This month our theme is "non-traditional colours."  

I am a very red/green for Christmas kind of girl, but I do like to see the non-traditional, too.  Here's my card...

This panel had been stamped and white heat embossed with trees from MFT Oh Christmas Trees.  I cut out "Merry" and put a silver piece of paper behind.  The "Christmas" is from a "Happy Christmas" die that came free with an order several years ago.  

Then I took the cut out letters and made a second card.  It seemed a bit bare, so I added a few adhesive dots...

Happy birthday scrubs - TMS #634

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I probably need to be making more Christmas cards, but I needed a birthday card for my son.  My "baby" is now 20!!  He's taking an LPN course, so I used a stamp I bought when he began to consider nursing...

 My DP is Pebbles Birthday Wishes.  My image is Stampendous Scrub Top and colored with Spectrum Noir TB2 and TB4.  The sentiment is the sentiment portion of MFT Die-namics Happy Birthday Balloon Trio.  My adhesive dots were light gray, so I colored them with TB2.  Rather than adding my shape on the main panel, I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 8.

A Dickens' Christmas - TMS #632

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!

This was pretty easy to put together.  My paper is Graphic 45 A Christmas Carol.  This was the 8 x 8 pack.  I cut the sentiment with Spellbinders Classic Squares.  I thought it needed a little something and added the adhesive dots.  The color is a drab red and looks rather dull, but it really looks good IRL.

Merry Christmas from all of us - SCC #130

 It is November 1st!!  We can now say, "Christmas is NEXT MONTH!!"  :) 

Plus it's time for Sparkles Christmas Challenge!  This month our theme is "Christmas Presents," so I created one for you...

I created this present.  (See below for a link to what inspired me.)  I cut a rectangle, trimmed the bottom and top for this shape.  My "ribbon" is narrow strips, ovals, and fishtail banners.  The ovals are half adhered to the top of the gift, and I hid the fact that they are not real loops with the branches, ornaments, and tag.  I put craft foam behind the gift and tag for some dimension. 

My DP is the Paper Studio Old World Winter, and the sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy Stamps Christmas Tags.  The greenery is a MS punch, and the ornaments are from Cheapo Dies Christmas Ornaments.  

I hadn't been sure what to do for this card until I came across this blog post with a free vintage printable....  Click HERE to see it.  And I like the printable, too, and will probably use it sometime soon. :)

Getting a tree... - TMS #629

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Christmas is 2 months from yesterday!!  In a month, I'll be putting up my tree and decorating my house.  (I'd do it now if I could. LOL)  Most of my life, we've had an artificial tree, so it's only been a few times that I've gone to "get a tree," but I get excited for complete strangers when I see a tree on their car or truck.  Then I go home and open my box. :D 

My image is a Stampendous rubber stamp called "Tie Down the Tree."  It's colored with my Spectrum Noir markers and cut out with CorttageCutz Stitched Rectangles.  My paper is PaperTrey Ink Monthly Moments: December (2014, I think).  My sentiment is from Raisin Boat Formal Phrases, stamped with Onyx Black Versafine and heat embossed.

Faith, Hope, Fight, Love - TMS #627

 Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  And this is October which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so I chose that theme for my card...

I'd been wanting to use this die and when I saw this week's sketch, I knew it would be perfect to feature it.   This is Die-versions Whispers Awareness Square.  I did cut several layers of the pink and put a black layer on the bottom to give some dimension since popping up a die with narrow cuts is always a challenge.  My paper is Colorbok Love.
